The Way Life Should Be
I was fortunate enough to have purchased a fall weekend at this cabin through a fundraising auction. My husband and I spent the weekend at the cabin with another couple, and we all were stunned by the beauty of the location when we arrived. Such gorgeous views...we watched the sun set on the first night and rise the next morning. It was quiet and relaxing. The cabin is rustic but cozy. We enjoyed sitting on the spacious porch each day watching the birds and seals, and the occasional boat pass by. Coffee on the porch each morning and drinks on the porch each afternoon. What a life. We were able to walk to the state park and enjoy the views and the trails. We took the 20 mile drive to Bar Harbor, walked the scenic trails, window shopped and had a wonderful meal. Each night we enjoyed a roaring fire in the large but cozy living room. The kitchen is well appointed with the necessities for preparing meals. There is a TV and cable with basic channels available, but I honestly think we only turned it on once the entire weekend. If you are looking for the perfect place to get away and relax in a simple way, this is the place to go. Thank you Charlie for sharing this beautiful place.
