Lots of room inside and out. Great location!

  • 4 of 5

Rooms well done but would have liked updated hide-a-beds as were a bit worn...said they had new ones but had not been brought to the cabin. Owners a bit slow responding to a leaky bathroom sink and an inoperable dryer. We made 4 phone calls before Charles showed up. Bathroom and adjoining room smelled foul, as if the leak had been ongoing. Cupboards had most things we needed with the exception of hot pads in the kitchen. Could definitely use more bath towels- there were only extra hand towels. We used every room for our family and most enjoyed their stay. Fire pit a real treat for the kid's somores! Thanks Charles for all your help!

Amazing Scenery, Rustic, Cozy Reunion Cabin

  • 5 of 5

My family of 23 stayed in this homey cabin for a week in Spring, and had a lovely time. The hosts were helpful and available, but not intrusive. They gave us advice on where to go and what to do. The location was perfect for a get-away from our busy lives. We rented an OHV and blazed some dirt trails, finding an amazing vista called Strawberry Point. We later took the whole family there to see the orange sand rock craters and cliffs. We had sunny days and a little snow during our visit, which was not surprising at the alpine elevation. We planned all our meals in the cabin, which ended up being tricky when 5 cooks wanted to be in the kitchen at once. I would recommend planning 1-2 chefs per meal, or hiring a cook to prepare meals. There are many utensils and cookwares, but I would still make a list of kitchen items your party needs and send them to the hosts in advance to find out if there are kitchen item preferences you may need to bring. For example, we brought a scrubby brush for dishes, and a coffee grinder. The cabinets were stocked with spices, salt, pepper, instant coffee, and other pantry items. We found the washer/dryer to be convenient, and the extra sheets, towels and table cloths were nice. Some beds were more comfortable than others, so we juggled rooms a bit until everyone found the firmness they could agree upon. We had wifi and tv, and spotty cell phone signal with T-Mobile. The yard was the perfect size. We enjoyed horshoes and the fire pit. The hosts kindly replaced the horshoes when we couldn't find the original set, and they had stocked firewood for the campfire. My dog enjoyed running around outside. The indoor fireplaces made very cozy gathering spaces. The nearby walking trails were lovely with fresh air and views to find every morning. I plan to return for another quiet getaway.

A amazing time staying at a great homey cabin that makes memories.

  • 5 of 5

My family and I had a great experience at the lodge with lots of fun and activities that we both enjoyed very much. It made us sad to leave ---it was a cozy, warm happy place... and the children were going crazy looking for that metal silver scorpion and toy soldier boy. Unfortunately, the scorpion was never found but we have hidden the soldier boy again. Anyway the cabin was fantastic there was no problems we all slept warm and comfortable.

Best Location in Duck Creek Village

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at the Alpine Forest Lodge was incredible. The staff was so friendly and helpful that we never had to think of anything during our stay. I have been to most areas of Utah and Duck Creek was really one of my favorites. The lodge was clean, spacious and had a good family feel to it. I look forward to my next chance to visit in the very near future.

Wonderful Family Vacation Spot

  • 5 of 5

This was our first time vacationing at Duck Creek Village and we had a fantastic time. Alpine Forest Lodge was spacious and very accommodating for our large family. Also, it was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the large back yard where we relaxed by the fire-pit and cooked s'mores. We even convinced grandma to play a game of horseshoes. We went ATV riding, fishing, and sight-seeing---fall is a beautiful time of year to visit and see the colors. The property owners were very accommodating and easy to work with.
