About the property

5 BR, 3BA, Sleeps 13. Secluded on 55 Acres, Pictures don't do it justice!

History, elegance, peace and quiet in a rural country setting, in the heart of Ohio farm country. Our two story 1833 log cabin has been restored and integrated with a new 2001 log cabin. The 4500 square foot, 5 room/ 9 bed- 3 bath cabin is situated on rolling hill farm country, conveniently located about 30 miles from Mount Vernon, Coshocton, Newark or Zanesville (52 mi NE of Columbus).

Relax in the hot tub on the enclosed back porch and watch the wild life, or sit before a cozy crackling fire in the large family room fireplace. This cabin is a place to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery, the ultimate place to unplug from the world.

Rustic charm and country elegance all in one beautifully appointed cabin. Great for family reunions, small weddings, receptions, romantic getaways, women or men's retreats or just gathering with friends. The house offers a fully equipped, gorgeous country kitchen, a wonderful place to cook while enjoying time with the family. The cabin is very clean, spacious, plenty of room for up to 15 people. It has satellite TV and satellite wireless Internet.

Property is available for deer during hunting season and is near Woodbury Nature Preserve (public hunting) which is only 20 minutes away.

The Surrounding Area: Set in the heart of Ohio farm country, the cabin sits on it's own 55 acre farm. The area is rural, and scenery consists of rolling hills, woods, farms and farm land. We are about as far away from the hectic life as you can get in Ohio. There are miles of gravel roads in the area with low traffic, suitable for biking, walking or even horseback riding.

You are probably wondering what is there to do in this area? There are many activities from zip lines to wineries. We will be happy to put together a list of what to do, just let us know what you're interested in.

The owners, Frank and Lisa Stahl, live within 1.5 miles of the cabin and encourage guests to enjoy the farm sights at both locations. Our amount of interaction with you is controlled by you. You can have the peace and quiet at the cabin or spend time on the farm with us - it's up to you. We primarily keep the stock at our farm, and are doing hay at the Weston House. If you like animals, we'd be really happy to share some of our farming practices and let you visit with the sheep if they cooperate! Spring time is the best time to see young animals especially the lambs!! We are an authentic farming operation raising registered, grass fed shorthorn cattle and Katahdin Sheep. We also have horses, chickens, dogs, and cats. Typically we have around 25 cows and calves, and between 40 and 100 sheep.

About Lisa Stahl

Our goal is to have a beautiful and serene place for people to leave all the city hustle and bustle behind them, and enjoy the simpler life in the country. Frank and Lisa operate a working farm within walking distance of the cabin.

Lisa Stahl purchased this farmhouse in 2005

Why Lisa Stahl chose Frazeysburg

We fell in love with the kitchen in this house when we saw it come up for sale. We wanted to provide a beautiful and relaxing property for people to unplug from their busy lives.

What makes this farmhouse unique

The house sits on 55 acres of farm and pasture ground, which is ideal for nature walks and watching livestock and wildlife. The old cabin of the house adds charm and history to the new, elegant log home. It's a great get away for groups of people who may be family or just friends. Built as a family home, it is a wonderful place to spend a holiday, or even a short weekend and just relax in the simpler way of country living.

Beautiful Cabin

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this cabin for 3 days at this beautiful and spacious cabin during the Thanksgiving holiday and can't say enough about it. The cabin is beautiful, spacious and comfy. It had all the comforts of home. We had our Thanksgiving meal there. The cabin is very clean. The owner Lisa Stahl was very hospitable and accomodating. Lisa and her husband are the nicest people we've have ever met. They were kind and gracious. We hope to return next year. Thank you so much Lisa for allowing to stay at your beautiful cabin!

Beautiful home! Highly recommend!

  • 5 of 5

What a perfect weekend getaway to meet up with friends. Lisa made everything wonderful and easy about our stay. She was very easy to work with and extremely flexible. It was obvious from our first communication that she wanted to make sure our stay was special! The home was perfect, combining both an old cabin built in 1830 with a newer addition with a huge master bedroom and perfect high-end kitchen. There was plenty of space for all 10 of us (4 adults and 6 kids), and lots of land outside for the kids to play. I wouldn't have changed anything about our stay and cannot say thank you enough!

Beautifully renovated cabin - perfect for group get-away

  • 5 of 5

The home and property was beautiful and comfortably accommodated our 7 guests (easily could've accommodated more). The owners were wonderful to deal with and took great care of us. The setting is remote, but with modern conveniences within a 20 minute drive. Our group enjoyed cooking in the kitchen and grilling out, sitting by the bon fire, and lounging around the spacious home and front porch. Bird-watching on the front porch was a favorite of everybody!
