We have two historic log cabins, Antlers and Eagle's Nest, lovingly decorated, fully renovated and modernized with every convenience imaginable. This turn of the century ranch has the charm, character, privacy and adventure that insures a memorable Colorado vacation. We’re open year-round and located 45 min. - 1 hr. drive west of Colorado Springs, Colorado. We invite you to experience why visitors come to Colorado: clean and clear mountain air at 9000 ft. elevation; average summer temperature of 70 degrees; campfires at night in the cool evenings; and fantastic nighttime views of the moon, stars, and planets. Our 35 acres offers outstanding views of Pikes Peak and the Sangre de Cristo Mountains.

Antlers Cabin has 2 bedrooms and 2 baths. Each bedroom has a queen bed. In addition, the cabin has a dining room, wood-burning fireplace insert, free Wi-Fi access, rocking chairs, porch, outside patio for relaxing, fully equipped kitchen with gas range, microwave, dishwasher, washer and dryer, and charcoal grill/smoker (bring your own charcoal).

Our two cabins are available for rent individually or combined. We have a playground, a well-marked hiking trail, a fire pit, and gorgeous views of Pikes Peak and the Sangre de Cristo Mountains.

About Sarah Bedford

Owned and operated by Potter's Inn, a non-profit ministry dedicated to spiritual formation and soul care for leaders.

We will respond to your inquiries on weekdays during business hours. Thanks for your patience.

Sarah Bedford purchased this cabin in 2005

Why Sarah Bedford chose South Central

Steve and Gwen Smith, Founders and Directors of Potter's Inn selected this property in 2005 because it was the most beautiful property they had ever seen. It is surrounded by three mountain ranges and in the back yard of Pikes Peak. It has a cozy, cocoon-like feel with a very peaceful setting of Colorado beauty.

What makes this cabin unique

We enjoy snow shoeing in the winter, hiking in the summer. It is so quiet here and we love to watch the wildlife around us, interacting with us.

Guestbook comments from the manager

December 2006: We planned this family get-away since early October. What a wonderful place. We came in after many inches of snow, spent Wednesday at Pikes Peak and Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. Next 2 days- basically snowed in. It was great! Slept, read, worked puzzles, talked, just relaxed, and of course, enjoyed the snow. Scheduled to leave tomorrow but may not be able to get home. Isn’t it great that God is in charge! This is a place we plan to return to. Thanks for making us so welcome.

What more could we say that has not already been said in your guest books at the cabin. Our stay at Christmas with my cousin (The Meyer's - Blake and Janet) and her family was wonderful. The kids loved sledding in the pasture, thank you for offering that to us. The Llamas were fun to watch and talk to. To walk out on our porch and see Pike's Peak and all of our surroundings and feel the presence of the Lord was (to use an overrated word for exclamation) awesome. Thank you for providing such a place. We will definitely be back and should you ever decide to sell, contact us before anyone else.

Beautiful, serene, restful, and family friendly!

  • 5 of 5

My husband, 2 six-year-old twins, and I ALL enjoyed Anter's Cabin very much! We traveled here to enjoy the winter snow and the outdoors. My girls absolutely loved the playground next to the cabin. We saw so many animals like bunnies elk deer. The cabin was super clean, beautiful, and cozy. We had everything we needed and truly enjoyed our stay.

Very Restful, Very Comfortable

  • 5 of 5

The cabin had everything I needed. It was clean and well stocked with kitchen utensils. The fireplace was easy to use and there was plenty of space for a larger family. The atmosphere in the cabin was restful and informal. The property was great! and the views were spectacular! Appliance were practically new and furniture in very good condition. I would love to bring others to enjoy the stay in the future.

Just as we hoped

  • 5 of 5

We rented both cabins for a week with family-kids and grandkids. It was a great "central station" as people scattered during the day to the many different nearby attractions. But all agreed that the best times were when we simply stayed "home" and enjoyed the quiet and beauty that surrounded us. Cabins were clean, comfortable, well equipped and when we had a problem, it was resolved promptly. We would definitely return.

A quite, comfortable, and relaxing cabin

  • 5 of 5

Location was great. I didn't want somewhere too remote but also didn't want somewhere too close to the town/other people. It was very quite and was a great spot for star gazing at night.

Antler's cabin was very clean when we arrived and linens and towels were of high quality. The cabin was fully heated when we arrived so we didn't have to stay cold until house warmed up.

Firewood was more than ample and the fireplace worked very well for us.

Hotwater was no problem and everything was clean including bathroom (of course).

One note is that a outside hot tub is not available for Antler's cabin. Only Potter's Inn (the red buidling) has one available. Potter's Inn is on top of a hill and it looked like a great slope for kids' snow sleding. It is a pretty long slope for kids. We saw kids staying in Potter's Inn enjoying sleding for the entire afternoon after it snowed.

We received heavy snow (6~7 inches) one night while we were there and a snow plower truck arrived at 8am next morning and plowed most of the snow on the road. So yes, this cabin is very well maintained and the owner was very responsive to phonecalls. The owner provides you with her cell phone# so you can get a hold of her during weekends too.
