LOVED THIS PROPERTY!!
There were so many things we loved about our stay here!
We usually stay in a hotel when we visit NYC, but wanted to do something different this trip. I could not be more happy than we chose to do this AND chose this property! The apartment was in a great building with a doorman, so we enjoyed the idea of security. They greeted us daily and made us feel not only safe, but welcome. The apartment is very spacious for a NYC apartment. It is one bedroom, but also has a futon that makes an "extra" space for sleeping. The kitchen is modern and we enjoyed having it in our space. There is also an updated bathroom and BONUS--a washer and dryer. The extra closet was big enough for our 4 large suitcases. There were plenty of towels and linens, toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags. It was SO nice to walk in and just start enjoying the city, as opposed to having to go shopping for supplies.
It is also within walking distance to Times Square, many great restaurants, shopping, and theaters. We had SUCH a great stay! I would highly recommend this apartment! Great space, great location, quiet and safe area, and great price.
The place is clean and convenient. However, there were some communication issues.
Roy’s condo located at Hell’s Kitchen is very close to eating, shopping and subway stations. The floor and counters are clean and well organized. However, there were a few issues in case of communication and condo mantainence. 1. Roy did not provide me with any check in guide. I didn’t know what apt number or where the key was after I arrived at the complex and waited for an hour after he got back to me. 2. The cleaning lady arrived at 10am the day when I was supposed to check out. She was relatively rude and insisted to come inside. After being refused to do so, she called Roy and Roy seemed not remember the check out time either, which was 11am. Gladly, we solved the problem in the end. 3. The vent in the bathroom is covered with dust. It’s not the healthiest way to have a vent like this. Same as the vent in the kitchen. It makes a very high pitch sound which was disturbing during my sleep. All in all, I would give this place a three star rating. Just like the service you would get at a three star hotel.
Gr8 location. Safe walkable neighborhood.
Neat, comfortable, clean, convenient. Love having kitchen access. Feels like home. Upscale with every convenience nearby. Owner, Roy, trustworthy & quick in response time. Looking forward to our next visit.
Convenient, comfortable and quiet
A short walk to the subway (50th and 8th Ave. station), Broadway theaters, and Food Emporium (good prepared meals for when you want to eat at home). Quiet, because it faces the back of the building (but for that reason, no view). Waterfall provides "white noise" as well. Would be tight for more than two people. All in all, very good value.
This apartment was perfect for my husband and me. It was clean, SUPER QUIET, and comfortable. Great location, friendly doormen, and overall great choice of apartment. There weren't very many pots, pans, dishes, etc....but who wants to cook on vacation in NYC? The basics were there, which is all we needed. I would highly recommend this unit!
Good, but needs some improvements
The Good: perfect location; very close to Times Square, Columbus Circle, Central Park, shopping, tons of restaurants, bars, subway accessibility, clean area, security doorman; clean kitchen; air conditioning, in-apartment washer/dryer
The Bad: shower room vent is very dirty and needs cleaning; the shower-tub drainage plumbing needs servicing - the water did not drain properly after showering; the bathroom needs a shower mat (I used a bath towel to step on to after showering); the cot bed/mattress and coil springs definitely needs replacing (suggestion: replace the cot with a sofa bed); or add a new cot and a new sofa bed all together; the washer and dryer didn't seem to wash and dry properly; clothes were somewhat dirty still after; the washer needs to be serviced or cleaned, there was dirt or mold in between the rubber seals; the dryer doesn't automatically turn off - left on and you have to manually shut it off (dangerous and it heats up); needs a toaster in kitchen; needs a basic plug-in kettle for boiling water; kitchen sink needs a new metal stopper; the laminate flooring needs to be fixed (bubble protruding in the walk area/kitchen table area); the TV remote needs to be replaced or fixed (didn't always turn on)the lock on the balcony door needs to be fixed - it didn't lock properly.
Would still recommend to friends, but should get those causes for concern fixed and the rating would be higher.
