My wife and I live in Arizona, USA, and try to visit Costa Rica as often as we can. My wife and I have travelled to more than 80 countries and fell in love with Costa Rica and Tamarindo. My wife is a 4th-generation Arizonan, as her ancestors came to Arizona in covered wagons in the 1880's to start a ranch that is still in the family. My father was a career U.S. Naval Officer, so I grew up on Navy bases in multiple locations. We are responsible people, and my wife is an elected member of the non-partisan Town Council of the town where we live.

Why chose Playa Langosta
We initially wanted to buy a condo directly on the beach in the Playa Langosta area of Tamarindo, but this condo building was all sold out even before the cement was poured. We bought another condo nearby, but not right on the beach. We later were able to buy this condo in the Horizontes Del Mar building in Langosta, so we bought it because it is so rare to be right on the ocean, even though we already owned another condo nearby, which we later sold. We chose to buy in Tamarindo because my wife is a "foodie" who enjoys a variety of fine dining. Tamarindo has more than 50 restaurants. Even though they are casual and tropical/open air in decor, the cuisine is international, with many of the chefs coming from Europe. We prefer the variety of the restaurants in Tamarindo and Langosta to a master-planned resort community, where guests would feel confined to dining in a resort dining room.
What makes this Condo unique
Our condo is unique because our building has the best beachfront location in the Tamarindo/Langosta area, and our unit has the best location in the building. Most condos in the area are across a street or several blocks from the beach (even some condos that advertise themselves as being beach-front). Our condo is right on the beach, with views up and down the beach and out to the ocean. The sunsets over the ocean from our patio/balcony are stunning. Our unit is unique because of its modern design, luxurious features, and it is positioned to take advantage of the beachfront location. It maximizes views to the west and north, which is the most desireable direction for views of the beach and the sunsets. It is in the middle of the building, easy for parking access on the only level of the building that avoids a flight of stairs. It overlooks the pool area, without being directly above the pool. There is a wide variety of condos in Tamarindo, ranging in price from less than $100,000 to more than a half million U.S. dollars. This condo is at the top of the market. When renting a condo over the internet you want to sure that you will get the amenities and value that you want and will not be disappointed with a budget unit. This is a luxury condo. Our condo has the highest occupancy rate of any of the more than 180 condos managed by our property management company, and most of our guests are repeat visitors, many of whom come every year.
