Bear Paw CabinTM "is an original Estes Park Homestead that dates the property to 1915, the same year Rocky Mountain National Park was established. You can walk right from the home to the Park!!
"Bear Paw" is part of an original Estes Park homestead founded in the early 1900's. The property had aobut 10 cabins scatttered on 20 acres of land.Bear Paw was first built as two cabins by sisters on the property. They called one the "summer" cabin and the other the "winter" cabin.I have renamed them as Left Paw and Right Paw. During the 1970's, the two cabins were combined into one delightful home. This created a unique floorplan and the addition of the main living room, offering an antique wet bar, beautiful native stone fireplace, laundry room, family room with gas fireplace and two separate bedroom/bathroom areas.
Bear Paw Cabin is tastefully decorated with a combination of cozy furniture and rustic antiques evoking a natural Colorado ambience. Offering private BBQ and picnic area, a perfect retreat for privacy and solitude, yet large enough for families.
All Dogs with wagging tails are welcome! woof!
"Open Year Around" the "Bear Paw Cabin" is priced according to your group size making it affordable to everyone! Enjoy!!

About Kim Parsons and Family
Hi, I am Kim and the owner of the Bear Paw and love the mountains. I hike and enjoy the sunny days, flowers, blue skies, and good energy that Colorado offers! I love animals and always have a dog, adorable 16 year old Black Lab; "Dixie" became an "Angel Dog" not too long best friend and sweetheart, who went everywhere with me. She would like me to adopt senior dogs since she trained me so well in geriatric dog care! I think she is right! I also volunteer for Colorado Horse Rescue, a private" Feed lot Rescue" and assist with any other animal rescues that I can find the time to do. I am an artist and received my Bachelor of Fine Arts in studio painting, at the University of Colorado, plus several other degrees including skiing, mountain biking, and goofing off in the mountains!!! Oh and in between those activities another academic study and degree with Anthropology in Native American Acculturation . N.A.R.F. -( Native American Rights Fund Bureau) is located in Boulder on the campus so many opportunities to be involved with while studying. Hiking and sitting by a creek with Dixie is my favorite pastime! Now she is a Butterfly! Her spirit flutters by all the time greeting and welcoming all the doggies that come to stay! Woof!

Why Kim Parsons and Family chose Estes Park

Estes Park is also the "Gateway" to Rocky Mountain National Park and Trail Ridge Road.... undescribable beauty every time you pass over! "Rocky Mountain High" says it all!
