About the property

House, 3 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 8-12)

Care to enjoy some fun in northern Wisconsin? Our beautiful executive log homes located just west of Land O' Lakes, Wisconson, provides lodging that you can feel right at home in. This featured full log home, Bear's Den, is on beautiful Landing Lake, and is fully equipped, with indoor towels, kitchen utensils, bed sheets and coverings. Bear's Den Lodge has three bedrooms, two full baths, and a finished basement tv room. Two of the bedrooms are on the main floor, and a queen sized bed in the loft. The main floor bedrooms consist of a king sized bedroom and adjacent private bathroom. The other main floor bedroom consists of two bunk beds, which sleep four people total. Bring your own disposal items such as cleaners, paper items, coffee filters, extra ice, beach towels. Two other lodges are available adjacent and lakefront, but are not pictured here: Moose Lodge and Eagle's Nest. Eagle's Nest is the only lodge that allows pets. You may rent or possibly buy your own permanent fractional ownership share of five weeks/year, with the summer week time frame recurrent and consistent year to year. Ask us which lodge is available because this calendar is for all three. We only reserve by the weekly rate, Sunday to Sunday from June to August. If you can only stay shorter, no problem, come and go as you can with the lockbox entry code we will provide with your final payment. July 4th, Christmas and New Years are an extra $100. September through May is a three night minimum, nightly rate. If you can only stay two nights, that's fine, but we have the to charge the minimum rate for three nights. During summer, if we still have openings within two weeks of your visit, we can reserve for you at a three night minimum. Some of the shares are for sale, thus we only take reservations on a short notice basis of 30 days. Further pictures of Moose, the four bedroom, and Eagle's Nest, a three bedroom can be emailed upon request. Our calendar shows openings in at least one lodge, but doesn't show recent reservations where we are waiting to receive the down payment and contract. Once you reserve, your initial 20% down payment needs to be a check mailed and received within four days. The 80% balance and $500 damage deposit are two separate checks, which need to be received at least 30 days prior to your stay. We will let you know when we receive your payments by email. We will email the lockbox entry code upon receipt of the signed contract and all three checks. Because some of our shares are for sale, some reservations can only be made within 30 days of your arrival.

Landing Lake is a sparkling 203-acre lake on the Wisconsin side of the Wisconsin-Michigan border. Connected to 125-acre Mill Lake, the two lakes offer a combined 351 acres and over seven miles of shoreline for swimming, fishing, and boating. Mill Lake is shallow at only eight feet and low water clarity. Our lodges sit on Landing Lake, at the end of the road, with 700 plus feet of frontage on 26 acres.

We have fishing for northern pike and perch, with some largemouth bass, out your back door. We have two piers, one for the pontoon and the other for lounging, swimming and smaller watercraft. We have a large number of watercraft including: a small fishing boat with oars, four paddle boards, canoe, paddle boat, swim raft and kayaks. All but the pontoon are shared among the three cabins on a first come, first serve basis. The pontoon boat is available on a two hour reserve basis by use of a sign up sheet upon your arrival. You will enjoy the two piers, and watercraft that are provided. The pontoon boat uses a two hour sign up sheet, located in the boathouse. It can take about two hours at the most to leisurely motor around Landing Lake. There always seems to be plenty of time on the pontoon for each lodge. Our cabin is air conditioned for those occasional warm summer days, and our beautiful and rustic stone surround gas fireplace is cozy when the temperature drops. We heat with forced air propane in the winter. The loft and large windows facing the lake are part of the charming full log construction of the cabins. The lodges sport their own fire pits and chairs lakeside, as well as a large upper deck toward the lake on each home. The lodges are somewhat private with trees between the campfire pits and lodges. While you can see the adjacent lodge about 100 feet away, there is a sense of privacy. A walking path in front of the cabins is shared and leads to the two piers and boat house. We take the pier out any time after October 1, so if you choose this time period, the watercraft may or may not be available. Watercraft are available after June 1 for your use, and may be in sooner if weather permits. NO pier or boat access is available for your personal boat or jet skiis on the lake. There is no public landing and we don't have our own dock. However, you could rent a boat locally, park it on the trailer in our parking area, and visit nearby lakes. There is room to park and turn around your boat or snowmachine trailers on site.

With 26 acres at the end of a road, and over 700 feet of frontage, though we're only about three miles from the town of Land O Lakes, one feels like they are in the middle of the woods. And in fact you are-- Nicolet National Forest and Ottawa National Forest cover much of the area surrounding Land O Lakes and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Located close to the snowmobile trails and only 20 miles from Eagle River, Wisconsin, the snowmobile capital of the world, you can enjoy the many winter activities the area offers. Watersmeet, Michigan, 10 miles north, offers a casino, cross country skiing, a nearby downhill ski area and golfing. About one mile further west on County Road B lies Black Oak Lake, voted a top clean Wisconsin Lake. A paved bike trail abuts County B and can be reached from the gravel road leading to the property. Black Oak Lake has a nice sandy beach, boat launch, day picnic area and changing room. It makes a fun day of great swimming near by. You are welcome to swim in Landing Lake and jump off the swim raft. The water gets deep fast in front of the cabins, and the lake shore is heavily vegetated. We often see waterfowl of all kinds and enjoy loons and eagles routinely. Down a beautiful wooded peninsula trail past all three cabins is a natural small wading area, with a gentle slope.

We have room to park your trailers for boats or snow machines. However, there is no public launch or boat launch for your personal boat or jet ski use. Many nearby lakes and the Cisco Chain of lakes have boat launches. We will be happy to have you enjoy the cabin, but no so happy about any recreational vehicle or tent camping on the property. Call or us write to see which lodge is available and works best for your group.

Very clean property. Excellent communication and easy property to find and access

  • 5 of 5

This property was very clean and updated. We had no problem finding it or getting in. Very smooth operation. I wouldn't hesitate to book this property again. The group I was with has already suggested we stay here on our trip next year. Very satisfied with the whole thing.

Great week at nice house

  • 5 of 5

Very nice house and quiet area enjoyed the use of the pontoon boat. Lake was nice and clean. Had a relaxing week. Enjoyed spotting the nesting bald eagles. Took a couple drives int Michigan to visit water falls bond falls and Kikabika falls. Found some great food at Black Oak Inn just down the road and Redmans supper club on 45. Really appreciate Eagles nest being pet freindly. Our Golden Retriever always likes her vacations. The property manager Jo was very helpful and easy to reach.

Great Home really beautiful

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is awesome, it fit our needs perfectly. We had 6 people and there were beds for all of us with one to spare. We were snowmobiling and the trail is right down the road only about a half wile away down Big Portage Rd. The cabin is very clean and it feels like home. We will book it again next year for out annual friends snowmobile weekend. Scheduling our stay was very easy and the communication with Joanne was great.

The get away cabin for the family

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I and another couple between ages 27-32, spent 4 days at the moose Lodge. It was perfect to easy sleep 10. Close to land o lakes city by still off the two track and away from it all. Used the pontoon and caught a few pike while watching a golden & bald eagle watch us catch fish. It was peaceful and relaxing. I drove from lower Michigan to try this cabin and it's worth every penny. Between the scenic drive to wine tasting to the fish hatchery in water skeet or bond falls....need to give it a try!

Our First Time at Pinestone Crossing

  • 5 of 5

We have vacationed in the Northwoods for many years, but this was our first time staying in Land O Lakes and the Moose Lodge. The home is beautiful and well maintained. The grounds and watercraft were in excellent condition, and well used by us! It was great to have a laundry room in the home we stay in - we've used a Laundromat in the past, and that is inconvenient. The views afforded both by deck and by boat were awesome. We spent a lot of time in the screened gazebo, and bug free! The process of booking the rental with Jo, all the way through to getting our maintenance deposit returned, was simple.
