Our condo has been thoughtfully remodeled, with hardwood floors, a stone hearth and gas burning fireplace, high-quality furniture, including a kitchen table for six, and a table on the deck for eight, flat screen TV with DVD and X-Box (lots of games) plus basic cable (100 channels or so). There are two well appointed bedrooms, each with queen beds, plus a loft bedroom that can be closed off with sliding panels, which has two twin beds. Two full baths with heated tile floors. Washer/Dryer are in the unit, with newer appliances and a fully equipped kitchen, including a gas cooktop. In the summer the expansive deck off the living room extends the living area by about 400', and has a gas barbeque (plumbed to the gas line) and deck furniture on which to relax and enjoy the views of Elkhorn Golf Course. Step down to the grassy areas just off the deck where the kids can play and search for golf balls that trickle down from the 9th fairway.
We're just a few steps from the Village Pool -- one of Elkhorn's two main pools, with its sauna and steam room; the Village Tennis Center; the General Store; and the Elkhorn Golf clubhouse -- we're located on the 9th fairway. Free KART buses pickup a few hundred yards away, it's 1 mile to Dollar Mountain, and five minutes to everything else.
Most of the condos in Elkhorn are in larger buildings, with parking lots next to the units. Bonne Vie is unique -- six smaller buildings, with the garages and parking lot clustered away from the condos. The pathway from the parking lot meanders through the development. Our unit is the first stop on that path, and we are one side of a rare duplex building, with no units above or below our townhome; and just one wall, shared with a unit that is owned by our good friends who promise never to turn their music up! It's peaceful and quiet during all seasons.
The garage is available to park a car in and/or store skis and bikes.
