Have your morning coffee by the pool, in the Gazebo overlooking the dock and the boats, or sit at the pool which has sheltered and shady areas, palm trees and tropical plants. Take a chair from the pool (remember to put it back) and have your coffee on the dock by the canal, it's a pretty spot cleaned twice a day with the tides. Want to go further afield, walk to the beach (5 mins) thru' the little village with it's beach bars, the Red Dog, the Parrot, and Primanti's Pizza. Try the Pizza Deluxe or have one of their famous Primanti sandwiches with everything, including the french fries in the sandwich. Upstairs you can have Thai food or have coffee, sandwiches or an all day breakfast at one of the waterfront coffee shops.
On Sunrise, 2 mins away, are Franco and Vinnie's (Italian) or the Cantina (Mexican with good happy hour prices) or if you want coffee and croissant, walk over the ICW bridge (5 Min), there is a little French Bakery and cafe just over the bridge on the right. On the same side of the street you'll find Publix and Starbucks, and on the opposite side the Galleria Mall, with shops, restaurants and a great food court.
You can walk south on A1A to Beach Place, more restaurants and shops, but if you want to go further you'll need transport. Even if you have a car, take the #40 bus, right outside the gate by the 24/7 – 7/11, it will take to to Las Olas, with all it's fine dining, take the bus back, no worries. The office has timetables for all buses. If you like outdoor markets, the Swap Shop is west on Sunrise, loads of parking, $3 or $4 all day. Don't want to drive, the #36 bus will take you right to the door. Thurs Sat & Sun are the best days. Continue west on Sunrise and you will come to Sawgrass Mills, also on the #36 route, it's enormous, wear walking shoes.
Relax on Monday mornings with free coffee and donuts by the pool. Pool towels are available at no charge, just bring your sun tan lotion. Have a good time, and enjoy sunny Fort Lauderdale and her beautiful beaches.
The condominium is located on a canal, between the Intracoastal Waterway and the beach. The beach is a five-minute walk, as are the Galleria Mall, and at least a dozen restaurants. A Convenience store, open 24hrs, and public transport, are just around the corner. A new Publix Grocery Store has opened within a 10 min walk. A car is not really necessary at this location.
The condominium is on the second floor of a two-story building. The unit is 1200sq/ft with dining area, full kitchen, king-size bed in the master bedroom, and twin beds in the other. Both bathrooms have an en suite complete with bath and shower.
Weekly housekeeping and pool towels are included.
