Villa Rosa – Luquillo is located right on the beach. Not near the beach, not close to the beach, it is on the beach.
It is a three story house with lots of room for you and your family and friends to spread out and enjoy the beauty of Puerto Rico. The house has five bedrooms, four baths, a fully equipped modern kitchen, living room, dining room, den, game room and two large porches. One porch is screened in and and has plenty of room to relax.
The house sleeps fourteen; the first floor has a den with a queen size sofa bed and the living room has a double futon bed. The second floor has 4 bedrooms, three with queen-size beds and one with two twin beds. The master suite is on the third floor with incredible mountain and ocean views, stand alone shower and two sinks. The house is about 4000 square feet.
There are many beaches in the area but the best news is that your 50 feet of backyard leads straight onto the soft sandy beach and into the clear-blue ocean.

'Dear Myrtle-Rose sorry I took so long to get back to you, we have been so busy since returning from Puerto Rico. We had a great time ! Carlos was very helpful and a nice guy to visit with. The house was great plenty of room lots of bathrooms refrigerator space and cooking gear etc. We did not use the entertainment center to much I guess we were to busy enjoying the Ocean we loved the waves! By the way if you find a size 9 water shoe it's mine I lost it in one of the big waves and never saw it again! We enjoyed seeing the Iguana's in the back yard. We did lots of the touristy things like Bio Bay ,Caves ,Telescope, Rain Forest, etc. We took the ferry out to Calebra very rough ride and lots of the passengers got sea sick fortunately none of our group threw up. We snorkeled on Calebra and saw several Manta Reys Very Cool! Any way we had a great time and we may come back again maybe to your place in Arecibo, Thanks again Your friend Chuck'

Why Myrtle-Rose Greene chose Mata de Plátano
I originally came to Puerto Rico to spend a full month with my then-11-year-old daughter. We toured the entire island by car and immediately fell in love with "la isla del encanto" - with the tropical rainforests, the historical cities of Ponce and San Juan, and the natural wonders of the Cordillera Central ... not to mention the beauty of the two smaller islands, Vieques and Culebra. It wasn't until 8 years later that I came back to Puerto Rico in search of the perfect vacation spot, this time with my husband. We found just what we were looking for in Luquillo. The breathtaking beach, running miles and miles along the coast, was the first selling point. Furthermore, Luquillo was so close to El Yunque Rainforest and the port town of Fajardo, allowing easy access to our favorite little island, Culebra. As we did more research, we noticed how friendly the people and how peaceful the area. Luquillo became the perfect spot for our family - kids and grandkids - and we hope it will be the same for you and that you will “Make Our Home Yours”! (Interested in our other properties in Puerto Rico? Check out VillaRosa – Arecibo on VRBO listing #236355. It is a single bedroom villa on 3400 square meters of land with breathtaking views. Great for smaller getaways or even for large outdoor events.)

Spring Break 2016
3 family vacation with a total of 15.. plenty of room for kids with tons of things to keep them entertained.. favorite was our own private sand volleyball! Would definitely recommend and we will be back!
Fabulous house for large groups right on the beach
OK so this is the greatest house for a multi-family vacation. We had 14 people ranging in age from 12 to 85, and it worked perfectly for us. The pictures don't show all of the bedrooms, there is also a bedroom on the second floor with two bunk beds, so it is great for the kids. There are individual AC units in all of the rooms, which worked well for the various needs of our family. The entire house is super roomy, the enclosed porch on the second floor is great for a quiet view of the ocean. The hot tub cover was missing so it didn't stay warm, which was a bit of a bummer. But the pool table was awesome, it was the focal spot of our week. The two refrigerators were wonderful - one was just for drinks, which was a bonus. We really appreciated the fact that the kitchen came with all sorts of spices and condiments. And there were a bunch of boogie boards and beach toys and even beach chairs for use during the stay. There is an outdoor shower so we didn't track sand inside. In addition to bath towels, they include beach towels too, which is a huge bonus. You need a car, there are no shops or restaurants within walking distance, but the kiosks in Luquillo are just a mile away - don't miss them! Sari and John are great caretakers, we consulted them frequently.
Beautiful beach area
We had a lovely stay at the Villa. It was clean and we felt safe. The ocean was wonderful and warm and the view out the backdoor was breathtaking. Sari and John did a marvelous job as property managers. We were greeted warmly to a cool house with ice in the fridge. They were attentive to any needs we had and gave us some good recommendations. Early checkin just added a plus.
A nice addition would be some comfortable furniture on the vast open space on the second floor. There are some plastic chairs, but patio furniture would have been good. The parking was totally adequate for 4 vehicles offstreet and that was important to us. Plenty of towels for bath and beach and a nice washer and dryer that we used a number of times. Huge refridgerators in the kitchen made for easy food (and drink) storage. The beds were not that comfortable and probably need replacing/updating. That was probably the only negative and I felt confident that if John and Sari could have fixed that they would of. There service was that good.
We were in Puerto Rico for a wedding at a villa in the Rain Forest and it was so close to Villa Rosa. That was nice. Overall, I would recommend this property.
A great place for the whole family
We had 11 people stay here representing 3 families ranging in age from 10 months to upper 60s. Everyone had a great time.
The location was amazing. The ocean is steps from your back door and falling asleep to the sound of crashing waves was great and the house is only 45 minutes from San Juan.
The house never got hot. The AC units in the rooms kept everyone nice and cool.
The local caretakers, Sari and her husband, were awesome to work with. The met us there, checked in with us a few times during our stay, were very responsive to needs or questions we had, had great suggestions for us and even helped us arrange an excursion. I cannot say enough about how awesome those 2 were!
The house itself is great. 2 refrigerators side by side were definitely needed for all of us for a week. Mostly everything was clean and worked great. The master suite was beautiful. The house is just as advertised.
One bedroom AC unit was out when we got there. The caretakers told us about it and said it would be fixed in a few days. It was fixed but those first few nights were a little hot in that room.
The hot tub did not heat up at all. Again, the caretakers told us about this when we got there. It was kind of nice though, after a hot day outside at the beach, getting into a nice cool "hot" tub was kind of refreshing.
The key situation was a bit weird. There are keys for each floor and only one for the front door. Having multiple families doing multiple things at multiple time made for some interesting planning on how to get back in to the house at times. I think having more than 1 set of keys for each floor would help this.
We all had a great time and hope to stay here again next time we visit the island. If you are looking for a place for a big family, or family and friends, that is right on the beach, minutes from good food, and has games and something for all ages, this is it.
Long awaited family vacation
Our group of 11 adults had a great time at VillaRosa-Luquillo! They completely delivered on the beach house experience. All of the views were even better than the pictures and the house felt like it was bigger than the pictures too. The first floor has a great open floor plan that was nice for having everyone together but not feeling like we were on top of each other. The enclosed patio on the second floor was great for feeling connected to the tropical atmosphere while still being in the house. Being able to feel the tropical air, see and smell the ocean as soon as I walked out from the bedrooms every morning was delightful. We watched the sun come up a few mornings on our beach and it was just like a movie. The layout of the bedrooms on the second floor was great. The rooms faced each other, two across and two next to each other, so it was a big square. When the doors were open it was easy to talk to each other and still have our own space. There were air conditioners in all of the bedrooms and two in the common areas on the first floor. We found that they worked a little too well and chose to only run them for a few hours at a time, as all of the bedrooms come with ceiling fans as well, to enjoy the tropical weather. The master bedroom was so light an airy with amazing views. The house also has a closet under the stairs that is filled with beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, sand toys, and an ice chest for the renters to use. We all thought that was such a great idea and enjoyed that added touch. While we did leave during the day to get out and experience the island, I think we spent time in the water every day before we left or when we got back. In fact, we cut out some of the plans we had in order to spend more time on the beach.
The house is in a regular neighborhood not in a gated community and as such it is probably the newest and largest house on the street. Some of the surrounding homes may look a bit run down and there are no actual sidewalks so you will see cars parked pretty haphazardly on the narrow streets. Don't let this put you off though, the neighborhood felt really safe to everyone. The street was so quiet the whole time we were there, I'm pretty sure we were the loudest people there! The caretakers, Carlos and Carmen, were warm and welcoming and were available anytime we had a question. Carlos even took some of us on a walk down the beach to show us this great view of the rain forest. All in all we had an amazing experience here.
Villa Rosa in Luquillo Beach
We rented Villa Rosa to celebrate my mom's 80th Birthday. We thoroughly enjoyed the privacy of having the beach and Villa to ourselves.
What a very special time indeed. This is why we love our Villas on the beach. They are places where family and friends can get together to celebrate those special times in their lives. It was an honor to have you mark such a special occasion at VillaRosa Vacation Rentals. Thank you for choosing us.
VillaRosa – Luquillo is located on Playa Fortuna in the City of Luquillo, 'La Capital del Sol'. This “Sun Capital” is ideally situated between the lush tropical mountains of El Yunque Rainforest and the warm waters of the Caribbean. It lends its name to the famous and beautiful Luquillo beach, which boasts complete balneario facilities and delicious refreshments from the traditional 'kioscos'. Luquillo is fifteen minutes from El Yunque, as well as from the port city of Fajardo, where you can take the ferry for day/wknd trips to the nearby Puerto Rican islands of Vieques & Culebra, or take an evening tour on the bioluminescent bay. Luquillo is also very close to the large hotel resorts and casinos such as CoCo Beach, Wyndham Rio Mar, and El Conquistador, boasting some of the best golf courses as well as shops, restaurants, and all of the other amenities of resort living. Best of all, when the day is over, you can retreat home to the comfort of your house and its semi-private beach.
