Guestbook comments from the owner

We certainly enjoyed our stay in your cozy casita. The setting is so beautiful, we were reluctant to go out and sightsee. We did go out and see some terrific things but this casita made coming home in the evening a joy. Thank you so much -

Relax Away From the Crowds

  • 5 of 5

This is the second time we have stayed at the Casita. It was even better than the first. Words can't describe the views, and most of all, the quiet, peaceful surroundings.

Everything you need is there, so you don't even have to leave, but you are close enough to everything to easily get to any of the area's attractions. Or just sit back and experience nature.

See the nightime sky as it really is. If you want a place to relax, where you can experience what it is like to hear only the noise of nature instead of the noise of the city, I can think of no better place than thiis.

Thanks again Ken and Lleta for providing such a wonderful place to visit.

Owner's Response: We always enjoy your visit. We love seeing you enjoying yourselves so much. The Casita is peaceful and serene and many of our guests spend a lot of time in the Casita just relaxing. The night skies are really black making it so easy to see so many of the nightviews. The Milky Way is often very visable. We look forward to seeing you again.

Incredible Place

  • 5 of 5

Casita Hermosa has become our favorite get away! The property owners take great pride in the place and do everything possible to ensure their guests are satisfied.

The accommodations are superb and matched by the magnificent views of the surroundings.

The location is perfect for sliding into Santa Fe or running up to Taos.

We return annually.

Awesome stay in a beautiful house with wonderful hosts

  • 5 of 5

We stayed 7 days in this cute casita which is located in the Tesuque mountains, only 12 mins drive from Santa Fe. Lleta and Kent are wonderful hosts. They made our stay a wonderful experience and as comfortable as possible. The casita comes with everything (dish washer, dryer, laundry machine, kitchen, coffee and tea maker,BBQ, nice patio, etc) and the beautiful view. Everything is very clean and well maintained. The car has a parking space right in front of the casita. The bed is very comfortable. We had a wonderful time.

Great place to stay!!

  • 5 of 5

This is the first time we have visited New Mexico. Finding this place felt like a one in a million chance. The serenity and the beautiful surroundings absolutely captured our senses. We just submerged into the environment that was simply indescribable.

The location was just perfect as it is not too far from Santa Fe and other nearby attractions. Thank you to Ken and Lleta for sharing this gem of a place with us. We absolutely enjoyed our stay and no doubt will stay here again.

Owner's Response: This is a great place for a get-away. The Plaza of Santa Fe is a short beautiful drive from the Casita. You can enjoy the peace and serenity of the Casita and the very dark skies by being a short distance from town. You have views in every direction. We hope to see you again. There is aways more to see and do.

Spectacular setting; beautifully appointed and maintained; welcoming and hospitable hosts

  • 5 of 5

I wouldn't change a thing. The casita is beautifully furnished and appointed, with lovely outdoor spaces. The owners have supplied every possible item and convenience from coffee and snacks in the kitchen to toiletries, plush towels and bathrobes for the bath. Lleta even brought me welcome pastries when I arrived. The location is very convenient to the opera house and a short drive to the plaza. I plan to book the casita for my future visits.

Owner's Response: We are glad you took advantage of the quiet and peaceful surrounding and still were able to be so close to the Opera. We try to think of anything you might need when you are here and make it feel like a home away from home. Thanks for your comments and we look forward to seeing you again.

This Casita has it all; location, furnishings, decorations and two amazing hosts - don't miss it

  • 5 of 5

There are so many superlatives written in prior reviews that it would be hard for me to give a more glowing review but let me try.... Firstly, the owners are delightful people. So responsive and so willing to help in any way. Example; when snow fell overnight (in the desert in late April!) there was a car snow scraper waiting for us to use first thing in the morning. So considerate. Being from Chicago we were mesmerized by the location. The Casita is up in the hills north of Santa Fe and the property and its views (of the desert and its mountains) are breathtaking. We loved the remote feel (at the Casita you could swear you were hundreds of miles from civilization) combined with the quick accessibility to the preferred areas of Santa Fe. For example, if you were to stay at the Holiday Inn Express or any other reasonably priced hotels down on the south side of the city you'd be on a street filled with ugly strip malls where it takes you roughly the same time because of traffic and stoplights to get downtown. Why do that when you can have the wonderful ambiance of the Casita and reach downtown in roughly the same time? Also, if you stay at a hotel you'll essentially have a traditional size room and bathroom. The Casita has an enormous bedroom, a large sized walk-in shower and the living room and dining room area are huge. True to its name, this is a small house! The kitchen is big, too, and has a dishwasher and washer/dryer combination. This Casita is so tastefully decorated in southwestern desert motif down to the smallest detail. This place is the equivalent of how you would decorate your home, not the token furnishings and touches of a hotel. It is hard to describe how nice it is, every decorating detail has been taken care of. The kitchen has EVERYTHING you need to cook a gourmet meal with. We had snow for two days during our stay, keeping us inside more than we had planned. In a hotel it would have been misery, in the Casita it was like being in a large, warm cozy ski chalet. For a nearby market/restaurant, try the Tesuque Village Market. Very cool avant garde feel to it and we really enjoyed the casual dining and vibe. Only five minutes from the Casita. Staying here helped make our first trip to Santa Fe very, very special. It has quick access to the highway, too, should you want to go south to Albuquerque or north to Taos or Los Alamos. STAY HERE!
