In the historical centre of Venice CONTARINI BILOCALE is located just five minutes away from St Marc’s square, Hotel Danieli, Palazzo Ducale, Ponte dei Sospiri, Libreria Marciana and many other famous Venetian buildings of architectural interest. Walking distance to the public boats stops, taxi and shuttle to the airport.
The apartment is part of a 15th century building set on an important Venetian canal named “Rio de la Pietà” and overlooking the wonderful Greek’s Church cupola. The apartment, recently renovated, is equipped with washing machine, dishwasher, telephone, air conditioning etc.
All kinds of shops are in the immediate vicinity of the apartments: wine library, bakery, greengrocer, macaroni-maker, pastry shop, cafés, restaurants, laundry, chemist, pizza take away and two supermarkets. Such a comfortable situation is not common in Venice.
The apartment is split into two floors: a large living room, the kitchen, the master bedroom (the king's size bed can be changed into twin beds) and the bathroom with bathtub are downstairs; the upstairs roomy double bed loft is looking the lower floor and it’s enriched by a large window overlooking the wonderful Greek’s Church cupola.
CONTARINI BILOCALE has been reviewed in “The Guardian”, 10th September 2005.

great stay for second time
superb location and very quiet nice and good space appartement only small issue there is no shower only bathtub and no curtain. Would love to gave a curtain there so one can shower standing😃
Great property / hassle free
Stayed for 9 days recently. The whole arrangement was very satisfactory. Terrific location in San Zaccaria area (close to San Marcos) - very quiet. Spacious - one cleaning service mid-way through (which was perfect).
It was ideal for us, but if you cannot climb 3 floors then re-consider. Also there was only 1 bathroom which is probably ok for upto 4 folks.
Our welcoming guide was also fantastic - she picked us up at the Ospedele Vaporetto (instead of San Zaccharia as it was quite late) and showed us all the inns-and-outs.
Would stay there again in Venice
Lovely light clean appt close to all attractions yet quiet at night. Hosts really friendly and help.
Venice lived up to our expectations and having a lovely appt to stay in only added to the expereince. Hosts met us off ferry and took us to appt so not at all stressful. Being so close to all attractions really helped us and well worth the money just one tip go off beaten track for food snacks as so expensive in main areas and use trip adviser for more affordable meals out you won't be disappointed !!
Beautiful, light and spacious apartment in an excellent area.
The apartment is beautiful. Open the shutters and light floods in. The apartment is very well laid out, with a huge L shaped sofa, enormous glass dining table, comfortable beds and ample storage space. The kitchen is a joy to cook in and there’s a dishwasher too. There is a lovely bathroom which also contains the washing machine. If it gets too hot, there is excellent air conditioning. Towels and bedlinen are changed at the end of the first week if your stay is longer than 7 days.
The area it is in has wonderful craft shops, restaurants, and a nearby supermarket. I recommend the short walk to Campo Santa Maria Formosa where you find a local fruit and veg stall and just off the campo, the awesome butchers Brodo and Brace in Calle lunga Santa Maria Formosa. Food is much cheaper than in uk and the quality is superb. Enjoy local produce, local wines, cheeses, hams and bread.
You are a short walk from San Zaccaria Vaporetto stops (water bus), Biennale exhibition, and San Marco so it is in a perfect location.
The owner is very kind and speaks excellent english.
Lovely apartment in the center of Venice!
We loved staying at this well equipped apartment in the center of Venice. Very close to St. Mark's, Grand Canal, etc. Our family of 4 had everything that we needed. This is a well equipped apartment.
A great visit
This was the perfect little apartment for my family and me for a week long stay in Venice. Yes, there are five flights of stairs but once you get your luggage up there it is really fine - helps work off the wonderful pizza that is available just down the stairs at the Kebab/Pizza place. We loved the street - from cappuccino to croissants, the pharmacy, the small grocery, the lovely restaurants (try all of them if you can) - we could have lived just on our small street and never ventured further. The location was great - off the most traveled path of tourists but literally a 3 minute walk to the San Zaccaria vaporetto station (with no bridges - key info for those hauling bags). July was hot but the a/c in the apartment worked very well. Mario and Silvia helped us with anything we needed, even just questions. I highly recommend this apartment and will reserve it again on our next visit.
