Aloha and welcome to the Papakea Resort, an on-the-water oceanfront resort with a true feeling of Maui, which has the smallest number of units on some of the largest acreage of any resort in Kaanapali. We have two 3BR / 3BA condos side by side for larger family stays.
The grounds consist of almost 14 acres of open grass area, tropical gardens, bamboo & palm trees, koi ponds with water fountains and walkways lighted with tiki torches.
We have 2 large pools(1 heated), 2 large Jacuzzis, 2 putting greens, 2 shuffleboards and 3 lighted tennis courts on the resort, as well as other amenities like a newly upgraded gas barbecue area. The Resort also has an activity desk with 24-hour front desk and free parking.
Papakea is adjacent to Kaanapali Beach and a short ride to the harbor town of Lahaina. There are wonderful art galleries, restaurants and shops within walking distance and in nearby Lahaina.
We have a local farmers market a few days a week in the neighboring road behind the resort for some wonderful local fruits and other great foods.
For those of you who 'must' stay connected, Papakea now offers free Wireless Internet access throughout the resort. For times when you wish to pursue outdoor activities, the golf courses of Kapalua and Kaanapali are nearby, and great snorkeling and boogie-boarding beaches are within walking distance.
Only steps from the ocean, our top-floor penthouse unit has been completely remodeled and provides a beautiful ocean view. There is a view from the living room and Lanai.
By Hawaii's standards, this penthouse is huge. It is over 1200 square feet. The main floor has two bedrooms with their own TV's. The master bedroom is very large with plenty of closet and dresser space. It has a King-sized bed and full en suite bathroom.
The second bedroom has a King-sized bed and a full en suite bathroom.
All bathrooms feature glassed in showers and granite countertops for the vanity area.
The third bedroom is a loft with two Double beds and a Single bed with a full en suite bathroom with double sinks.
The loft area is unique and quite large. There are only a few loft units available with this type of configuration because these penthouses exist only on the fourth floor and most other fourth floor units are either a one bedroom or studio.
Our penthouse has a Split A/C system which cools the entire condo, but also comes with ceiling fans in all rooms... who needs it?! Just open all the windows, listen to the ocean, and let the warm, comfortable tropical air relax you.
The living area has ample seating, as well as a large 42-inch Plasma TV screen with satellite connection, a premium Bose sound system with Bluetooth connectivity, and a wine fridge. There is an extra HDMI connection for anyone wishing to bring their own devices such as Apple TV. The Master bedroom TV is a Smart TV.
The accordion patio doors allow full access to the lanai.
The new gourmet kitchen features halogen lighting, stainless steel appliances, cherry wood cabinets, and granite counters and bar that allow seating during meal preparation. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishes, cooking utensils, refrigerator with ice maker, dishwasher, microwave, toaster oven, and coffee maker. The unit comes complete with washer and dryer.
The tiled floors throughout, give it that clean, cool look and feel you desire in the tropics.
The unit has a private Lanai that has accordion doors to allow free access inside and outside with patio furniture overlooking the pool and ocean. Sip a Mai-Tai or Martini on the Lanai and enjoy the beautiful views of the pool, the beach, and the island of Molokai. The evening sunsets are spectacular!!
We have installed the latest Kaba combination locks so that maximum security is provided to our guests. There are no keys or cards required or that may be lost! Everyone in your party will have the opportunity to enter and leave without worrying about lost or mislaid keys/cards.
A $17/day Facilities Use Fee (with a 10 day $170 maximum per calendar month) will be collected at check out, payable to the front desk.
