Aloha, my husband, who works 12 hours a day, my 19 year old son left home for university in Japan, I work, that, although we live in main part of the house, we are not home much to enjoy the beach and the surroundings. We want our guest to fully enjoy the private beach and feel it's their own home with out feeling disturbed by others. Sorry, but the dog is no longer with us.
Suni Nasuti purchased this house in 2004
The property is easy to get to and from an airport; it's remote, which keeps it from getting too crowded with tourists.
The property is a beach front with large back yard and it has a 2 story look-out tree deck.
5 minute drive to world famous snorkeling spot (Hanauma Bay), restaurants, and a shopping district.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! As pointed out by others, the apartment is SMALL. My wife and I stayed for nine days and had a friend with us for 7. We had planned on going to some kind of big events, so we had lots of clothes and lots of luggage. At the time the weather forecast was for quite a lot of rain for the entire time we were there, so when I first got there I had a little bit of anxiety about how 3 adults were going to be able to live in such small conditions without getting on each others nerves. Turns out everything was just fine!
It only rained a few days and even when it did it was still warm and and the patio cover kept the lanai dry.
The bay is VERY shallow! You can walk out 1/3 to 1/2 a mile at high tide and it never gets more than thigh deep.
The water is clear and the kayaks and SUP Boards were great!
As stated the interior if the apartment is pretty small, but it accommodated three adults quite comfortable.
The only complaints I really had were that there is no AC in the unit in general and the week we were there there was an utter lack of wind and humidity in the high 80s to 90s so the only place to escape was the small bedrooms which had little room conditioners in them.
My other issue is that I hate living out of a suitcase. I like to unpack when I go on vacation. The bedrooms have closets and night stands with small drawers, but no dressers. This is more of a personal idiosyncrasy on my part than an actual criticism and would by no means preclude me form staying there again.
The property owners were more than gracious, we pretty much had the entire back yard to ourselves. Ronny came out and joined us for a drink one evening and was very pleasant to talk to.
The location is outside of busy Waikiki, but close enough that going to town was no big deal. There is a bus stop literally outside the gate making the use of public trans very convenient, although we really didn't think about it until the end of our trip.
Costco (and its abundant wine section) and Safeway are less than three miles away so it is easy to stock up for your stay, and there is a 7-ll across the street for the little things.
I would, (and already have) recommend this place to friends and family and would be enthusiastic to stay here again!
My family and I stayed here for a short time and we loved it. Suni was there to greet us when we arrived and gave us the lay out. The location is just fantastic. Our boys, ages 7 and 9 had a wonderful time in the treehouse while my wife and I enjoyed paddleboards and kayaks. We really enjoyed that the location was so close to everything, Diamond Head just a short drive and Hanauma Bay just around the corner. We would definitely recommend this island paradise to our friends and family.
This has to be the best place on the island to stay. The property is amazing and Suni and Ronnie are both wonderful people and my family and I enjoyed talking with them. We ate at Ronnie's restaurant and it was probably the best food we had on our trip! The privacy you have with the fenced in yard, gated drive, and private beach make this the ideal place to stay. When I go back this is the only place I'd stay at!!
My family had a wonderful time in this beautiful home on the beach. Thank you to Suni and Ronnie for the hospitality. I would definitely recommend this gorgeous 2 bedroom place to all of my friends. Thanks again so much for the wonderful Vacation on such a beautiful property.
Ronnie it was really nice of you to take my kid out on the ocean on your wave runner. We will definetly never forget this place and hope to stay there again soon.
I visited for my 30th birthday with my boyfriend & parents and we could not have dreamed of a better place to stay. Suni was wonderful with providing directions for arrival. Ronnie & Suni were both home when we arrived and were there to greet us and visited with us and got us acclimated to our new "home"... Ronnie even took us out on the boat that first night for a cruise around Maunalua/Paiko Bay and we chatted for a while about the things we had planned and he invited us to his restaurant in Waikiki (Tiki's Grill & Bar -- highly recommend. GREAT food, drinks & location!). The location of the home is far from the tourist trap of Waikiki, which was just what we were looking for. We wanted to spend as much time exploring the island and this was the perfect spot for that. It took about 45 minutes to get up to the North Shore & Kahuku for ziplining/sightseeing. We ended up spending a lot of time at Lanai Lookout (about 10 minutes west of the property, right off of Kalanianaole Hwy) and at Sandy Beach Park, watching the surfers and bodysurfers. Waimanalo Beach & Kailua Beach were about 25-30 mins from the property and those were our favorite beaches. We had a great time getting to know Ronnie & Suni and they were nice enough to come out and hang out with us a couple of times. We took a lot home with us that we learned from them -- they have such great MANA and a true Spirit of Aloha.
There were SUPs, a kayak, boogie boards, snorkeling gear, etc. for us to use and we had a great time doing that! The bay was so peaceful and would be great for visitors with kids. Definitely bring water shoes, or buy some up the road at Longs Drugs! We took walks down Paiko Beach in the mornings - there was hardly anyone on the beach!
There is a washer/dryer in the unit. The living/kitchen is small, but why go to Hawaii and spend time inside?? The lanai was a great size for morning before heading down to watch the gorgeous sunrises! We did not have trouble with the AC units, or see any issues with having to buy our own toiletries. We even left our extras for the next visitors :) The beds were very comfortable. We slept better there than we do at home and we miss the beds terribly! The closets are great-sized and have hangers to hang your clothes up.
You can tell that Suni & Ronnie have a lot of pride in their home and it shows! We will DEFINITELY be back and are counting down the days to return and stay at our HOME AWAY FROM HOME!!
Mahalo, Suni & Ronnie!!!!!!!!
We just got back yesterday from this amazing gorgeous property we stayed while in Hawaii for our family vacation. It's a two bedroom, one bath apartment with comfortable beds, air units in each bedroom and a view to die for from the sliding doors. Did I mention the views OMG gorgeous, the backyard very nice and with a relaxing private beach. The backyard is huge with a Koi pond and two turtles. (Arthur & Coco), it also includes the use of the paddle boards, kayaks and other water toys. The backyard alone is worth staying here, just to see the views everyday. The property is very comfortable with a family of four, five will be tight but manageable. It is also located in a desirable location between Hanauma Bay and Waikiki. As for the property owners Ronnie & Suni, they are wonderful hosts, hospitable, and extremely nice. I would definitely come back here again and would recommend it to friends/family. Thank you Suni & Ronnie for sharing this amazing property with us.
