I am a retired nurse. I like to travel and enjoy hiking, kayaking and biking. I hope you decide to enjoy my little piece of quiet solitude, with beautiful views, a clear water creek, and plenty of wildlife. Come book a stay at PineHill.
Murf purchased this cabin in 2012
I have to have water around me; whether it's a pond, lake, creek or the ocean. When the realtor found this creek front acreage, I was sold! My property is on the bluff side just upstream from Mac's Big Rock. You will enjoy the awesome view, watching eagles along the bluff every November through March.
The sounds of nature are yours. You will love one of the last clear water streams left in missouri. Just imagine being outdoors on your patio with morning java to a glass of wine in the evening; your own private outdoor living area with fireplace or relaxing in the hot tub. Pinehill bluff hideaway truly has it all! Close to shopping, restaurants, casinos, and Crystal Bridges Museum.
Very clean and great location. Would definitely recommend.
You are spending over a lot of money a night, to stay in someone's BASEMENT.. advertised as a cabin.. they advertise with Wifi, Cable, and HBO, there is NONE, don't expect cell service either! Short hike to the creek, maybe, but straight down hill and exhausting! Pay a cleaning fee and we found Feces (weather animal or human I wasn't sure) on the bathroom floor, toilet hadn't been cleaned for months, covered in urine stains and a nasty ring, toothpaste and hair covered the bathroom sink and shower. As we were cleaning up on our last day, we found a ball bearing in the bottom of the hot tub, my husband picked up all the pieces and put them in the basement, mind you a inexpensive ball bearing... Mary kept our INTIRE deposit, for a wearable item, that we did not break!! When mentioning politely about the condition of the bathroom, there was NO apology, or even a mention of a return of our cleaning fee.. instead she was keeping our entire deposit! But It is very quiet, very remote and relaxing, you definitely have no distractions. Did not enjoy the very small beds, My husband slept in one room and I in the other.. Definitely not a romantic get-a-way!! We will NEVER return, or recommend this place to anyone!!!
Beautiful location and awesome place to stay.
Upon our arrival...in celebration of our thirty year anniversary and Birthday celebration was a dozen roses, wine and chocolates. Music was also playing in the background. All very nice touches and very thoughtful of our hostess Murf/Mary.
We enjoyed the view from the hot tub. So peaceful, stress-free and relaxing. The fire place and pool table was great too. Outdoor patio fireplace was a nice place to enjoy a beer or glass of wine too.
The park bench overlooking the bluff of Big Sugar Creek was wonderful. Murf called this area inspiration point....rightfully so. What a beautiful area to just relax and watch the sunrise and enjoy fresh ground coffee.
The short walk to the creek was beautiful too. Lots of beautiful scenery surrounded this cabin.
Murf suggested the restaurant Haven 55. It was a great place to eat....fine dining but very casual overlooking a small waterfall.
We enjoyed The Cave bar and grill too(actual bar inside a cave). All locations were a short drive from the cabin.
Thanks for the suggestions and for being a great hostess Murf. We appreciate all the extras too. We would definitely recommend this place.
Thanks again Murf we loved it!!!
The Hideaway was clean, comfortable and cozy. I had trouble with the directions at first, but Murf was very helpful and got us on the right track. Many, many thanks and we will return!
Such a wonderful stay for our mini honeymoon getaway! Beautiful surroundings and nicely secluded. Enjoyed the little walk down to the river, drinks by the fire and relaxing in the hot tub. We had all the comforts of home and more.
We definitely look forward to returning. Thank you again! :-)
I had a wonderful time but it was too short. The place was spotless and so warm and cozy. I highly recommend it.
