Come to the famous Venice Beach and Boardwalk.. Duplex, stylish and attractive sleeps 6. Next door to a lovely park with a great green space and playground. 8 blocks from beach, a 10 min. walk, Venice is nesteled next to Santa Monica and Marina Del Rey. Only 5 miles from LAX airport.. Plenty of restaurants nearby, also a luxurious Wholefoods market around the corner. Close to major Freeways and lots of LA attractions. Furnished with washing machine and dryer, fully equiped kitchen, patio, fenced yard and gas BBQ. Smoking is permitted on the patio. Street Parking is available outside.

About the House and Venice: If you choose to stay with us here in Venice we can assure you of a warm welcome. We have tried to think of everything we can do to help you be glad you chose to stay here. There are countless amenities nearby and many restaurants and fun places to visit. Venice is an artistic, spiritual community with much diversity and like no other place on earth! Museums not far, as well as Hollywood and the Avenue of the Stars within easy driving range.

Public transportation: Happy to say has got a lot better recently. We have 2 buses that will take you to the Metro which will take you to Downtown LA, China Town etc. From there you can connect to Pasadena, Hollywood ect. One of the buses goes direct to Abbot Kinney shopping center also.

Fun stuff: We have 4 boggie boards, sand toys, beach towels and an umbrella.

Things not to miss in the area: Venice Canals.... These date back to the beginnings of Venice over 100 years ago. The are about 1 mile away and a lovely place to walk. There are about 100 homes, each individual with special gardens and lovely features. Stroll the sidewalks for a peaceful time as ducks drift by on the canal. A small playground is there too if you have kids.

Santa Monica Pier.-. Lots of great restaurants, amusement rides and during the summer free live music and dancing every Thurs. night

Abbott Kinney Blvd.. Several blocks long street with one of a kind shops, antiques, designer shops, restaurants and just odds and ends.

Main Street in Santa Monica... Several blocks of shops,restaurants, boutiques and coffee places. This is an easy walk from the rental.

3rd. St in Santa Monica... 3 blocks or shops, bookstores, restaurants and street performers.

Walk Street in Venice.. a few blocks from the rental several blocks of walk streets..houses face each other with no street, nice

David and I have lived for several years in Venice. I'm a California native and David joined me from England in 2003. We both lead busy lives but have been so happy in running our new Vacation Rental business. We have met wonderful people from all over the world. We love Venice and hope you will too. You will never be bored in Venice. You can veg out or be in a whirlwind of vacation activity and you never know what movie star you might see! Venice weather is great too!

We built our vacation rental in Venice Beach because we love it here! Venice is a unique community with lots of interesting people, artists, musicians and just friendly Californians in general. We are a community in the midst of gentrification but trying to keep our ethic past intact. What's not to like, 30 min. (if not traffic) into the heart of LA and a 10 min. walk to a beautiful beach. Weather you can't beat!

The owners are so super nice and very welcoming! I rented this place with a few friends while we were on a business trip and every time we had a visitor they couldn't believe how amazing it looked. It truly felt like a home away from home. We have all agreed to use this exact same place when we return next spring.

Notes:
For our other guests this is a non smoking environment. This is a non residential letting. As we live in a residential community however we politely request that noise be kept to a minimum late at night. If you would like to party then nearer beach accommodation is better option. We have 4 boggie boards and a beach umbrella for your use.

4 NIGHTS HERE WAS NOT LONG ENOUGH.

EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS PROPERTY IS POSITIVE, LOCATION, COMFORTABLE,CLEAN AND GREAT HOSTS.

WOULD LOVE TO RETURN AND STAY LONGER TO EXPLORE ALL THAT VENICE BEACH HAS TO OFFER.

A comfortable place to stay.

We really enjoyed our recent stay at the property. With easy access to the Santa Monica Pier, Venice, and a short drive to northern beaches it was a busy three days for our family of four. It was a nice launching pad and recovery area for our daily activities. A nice dinner and games on the pier, some boogie boarding/ beach time/ shopping in Santa Monica, sightseeing in Venice, and a short trip up the coast utilized the bulk of our time. Whole foods is easily walkable, however we used their delivery service a few times as we were exhausted. Owners of the property were very accomidating and caring. We enjoyed our morning coffee on the patio greatly. Found parking to be fairly easy. Nice park on the corner. Great trip.

Good location for what we needed. We could walk to the beach and the Whole Foods store. Alice and David took good care of our needs. The kitchen utensils need to be updated, couldn't find a pot holder or a "sharp" knife.

Perfect Vacation Spot!❤

Absolutely perfect! My husband and I loved it! It had everything we needed, from late night movies, to a fully stocked kitchen, there was even a cooler to take to the beach. A secluded patio where we could eat and drink in the sunshine. Walking distance to restaurants, grocery stores and close to the beach. The bed was super comfy, which made me happy! We cannot wait to stay here again the next time we visit! Thank you for all of your hospitality.

Golf: There is a public 9 hole golf course about 1/2 mile away. Penmar golf course. I have heard it is a nice course. This is a LA City owned course. There are also free, lighted tennis courts within walking or biking distance. There are 3 separate locations. We play on all of them and often you can walk right on.

Ski: We don't have snow but we do have the beach!!!
