The location of this property is between the harbor and Capitola. A few short blocks away is Pleasure Point where the surfing spectacles are endless. Our small street is quiet and friendly and parking during the high seasons is limited to homeowners and their guests. The tasteful furnishings will make entertaining a pleasure.
A short drive down the Monterey Peninsula brings you to world class golf courses and the charming seaside towns of Carmel, Pacific Grove and Monterey. In the other direction a short drive takes you into the beautiful Santa Cruz Mountains with small towns nestled in the redwoods along the way. The world famous Santa Cruz Beach and Boardwalk are 10 minutes away and will give those who enjoy the excitement of roller coasters something to talk about back home.

A great place in Santa Cruz for the holiday!
Great Christmas vacation stay at this cozy place 1/2 block from the beach in Santa Cruz! Karen is a great owner who accommodated us, (and our Chiweenie!), and is responsive in communicating. VRBO recently changed deposit rules and she was very efficient in chasing down a problem with payments and ensuring there were no issues regarding our stay. The home is very nice with lots of upgraded deck area, a roof viewing area, and only a quick 2-3 minute walk to a beautiful beach with views of the city to the north. Karen had a welcoming bottle of wine and Christmas card when we arrived and the accommodations and amenities such as towels and appliances were of the best quality. Centrally located to the San Francisco bay area to the north and Monterey to the south. Highly recommended for up to 6 people . Thanks for a great stay!

Great hosts and clean well appointed home
From the first contact with Karen the whole experience was easy. When we showed up there were fresh cut flowers, cookies and a bottle of wine awaiting us. The house was CLEAN which is always important to us in a rental. We are readers and the lighting and furniture was conducive to reading. And the patios were delightful and well furnished for sitting, reading and eating outside. 1 block to the cliff's edge overlooking the water and 3 blocks to the water's edge with some of the best surfing in the area.

We are six 30-somethings that had planned our annual trip to Sonoma and had to quickly change gears when the devastating fires occurred.
Karen was delightful and very helpful in quickly booking our stay.
The house was great! Tons of space and a beautiful yard we all enjoyed! Pictures don't do the place justice!
We had a great time exploring SC, eating great food, did a great Redwood hike, walks on the beach, and a day trip to Carmel for wine tasting.
What started out as "Plan B" became one of our best trips yet! We marveled at how easy and lovely this trip became!

Fantastic layout and a great, convenient location
If you are looking for a CLEAN beach rental, with a great layout and two large decks with outdoor entertaining space, this home is for you! As a family of 5, we loved how close this place was to the beach- roughly 2 blocks!! The layout (great room with kitchen, family room and dining) opened onto a deck, and on other side of kitchen was master (access to rear deck) with it's own bath, and across from master, two bedrooms with a shared bath. There is an outdoor shower and a rooftop deck with a view of the water. Also, I appreciated that there weren't many knicknacks in the home. As a mom with 3 small kids, there is nothing more irritating than renting a home that you have to 'child-proof.' The home was also in a great neighborhood, with awesome coffee shops (try Verve) casual restaurants, and some beachy shopping. Just a short drive to Capitola, too.
Also, it must be noted that Karen was one of the nicest, easiest homeowners to communicate with... We were evacuated from our home due to the Norther California fires last week, and not only did she quickly get her place ready so we could check in right away, but she was very quick to respond to any questions. I would definitely stay here again!

Very cute, spacious, nice location, and shows the pride of it's owners.
Karen was so gracious and helpful with our last minute booking. She demonstrated real caring for her clients when she left us birthday balloons & flowers. Her old family home, shows pride of caring with recent renovations, up dated kitchen, great mattresses, special bed linen, and well furnished outdoor spaces. Check out the outdoor shower! The home is well located to the beach and other activities, but situated on a quite street with adequate secure parking. Can't wait till we can return with more of our family members. We did see those dolphins you told us about!

Good family rental
This was a nice place to stay. We had our two kids, plus my mother in law and brother in law. Although the house isn't all that large, it was perfectly fine. Stairs leading down to the beach were just a few streets away, and we enjoyed a 1/2 mile walk to a nearby farmer's market on Sunday. Capitola is just a few mile drive from the rental, and everyone enjoyed their stay.
