Great place

  • 5 of 5

Great place, Joann and Ray are best hosts you can have.

Hope to come back. We stayed at several places during our trip.

The Fish Inn was overall much better than others. The rent was very reasonable.

A wonderful spot near Lassen

  • 5 of 5

Our family had a great experience at the Fish Inn. We enjoyed a full day at Mt. Lassen, visited the nearby Subway caves, played in Hat Creek with the kids and enjoyed time by the fire pit. The Inn has everything you need and the hosts are friendly and helpful. The one thing you may want to know in advance is to grab your groceries somewhere on your way into Old Station because the nearest Safeway/Grocery is in Burney which is about a 30 minute drive.

Owner's Response: Thank you so much for your review. And you are absolutely correct about shopping for groceries. We are in a small community and the only groceries available here are from the mini mart at the gas station and a couple of other small convenience stores. Burney has a Safeway. You can pick up groceries in Redding on your way up as well.

WONDERFUL stay at the Fish Inn!

  • 5 of 5

We just spent three magical days at the Fish Inn. Primarily, Joann and Ray are the most gracious, generous, and sweet host and hostess we have experienced with a vacation rental. Even before we arrived, Joann was quick to give us a wealth of information about our upcoming stay. Their love of this cabin and desire to make guests feel at home is immediately evident. Comfortable, clean, kitchen well equipped with everything you could ask for, soft linens and comfy beds, a wonderful outdoor space, both front and back, fire pit....I could go on and on! The location on the creek is ideal and the peaceful surroundings complete a most relaxing and wonderful getaway. The location of the cabin is perfect for exploring Lassen and Burney Falls. This was the middle of a week long family road trip and our son continues to talk about his highlight of a packed week - catching his first fish. Ray took us out the first evening we arrived, gave my husband, 9 year old son, and myself a fishing 101 and before we knew it I was cooking a trout! Thank you so much Ray and Joann. We'll be back! In the meantime, you'll probably meet some of our friends as well! We're spreading the word. :)

Great location!

  • 5 of 5

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Fish Inn. This home is located near JJ's Cafe - my favorite place to eat in the area - and has forest access from the backyard for hiking with my daughter and our German Shepard. The home is comfortable and well appointed. We enjoyed our stay so much, we've booked again for late summer and can't wait to return. I highly recommend the Fish Inn!
