Wonderful stay!

  • 5 of 5

My sister and I stayed in cabin 1&2 with our elderly parents and had a very pleasant and relaxing stay! The owner was helpful and friendly and the property was exactly as described on the site. The beds were great and the cabins were clean and spacious. This is a unique, beautiful property and we would stay here again. Also, Amrak, the resident dog is awesome!!

Another great stay at a beautiful Montana retreat

  • 5 of 5

This is the third time we stay at the Coyote Riverhouse and we have never been disappointed. The rooms are always clean, well furnished and comfortable. They even clean your room and make the beds every day like a hotel room. The owner and staff are great to work with, never had any problem. This is a great place for peace and quiet, just like a cabin in the woods. Don't leave before eating at the locals favorite spot; the Echo Lake Café. It's great for either breakfast or lunch.

Another great trip to the Coyote Roadhouse Cabins

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in cabin 6 for the second time (the first was last summer) and absolutely love the location. The cabin itself is rustic, beautifully handcrafted and restored, and equipped with comfortable beds. The owner, Gary, was a pleasure to deal with, gladly giving us a quick history lesson on the location and a tour of the other unoccupied cabins, which were equally as lovely. There is lots of space at this property, so you can socialize as a group or choose to have some peace in your own corner. The kitchen was well equipped with pots, pans, utensils, dishes.

The location of the property provides easy access to town (Bigfork and Kalispell) and Glacier National Park with all it has to offer is a short drive away.

The cabin itself was clean and comfortable ... Not a hotel, but a genuine cabin experience. We have taken to calling it "the cabin" like it's our own!

With maid service daily to make the beds, take away the garbage (there is a lot of wildlife in the area), refresh the towels, and make sure we have everything we needed to enjoy our stay, what more could you ask for?

I'm sure there are newer, fancier properties to rent, but none that will give you the "I'm home" feeling of the Coyote Roadhouse Cabins. We'll be back again at the end of the summer, and I don't ever hesitate to recommend the place to friends.

Oh, yes it doesn't have a washer and dryer, but who wants to do laundry on vacation anyway?! Relax, enjoy, and leave the chores for when you get back home to the real world. And I received a detailed receipt for my deposit within a week of paying, and a receipt for the balance on arrival. Gary and his family run a wonderful business.

Nice place, poor ownership

  • 2 of 5

My family stayed here in July 2011. The house was nice, plenty of room, and good location on the Swan River. There is no washer or dryer, so we had to go into Big Fork to do laundry. The management was very poor. After staying there I could not get an itemized receipt and the owner would not return any calls or e-mails. After trying to get in touch with them for 2 months, I just gave up. I'd be very cautious, especially with so many other good options in the area.

Owner's Response: Dear Guests, It has come to our attention that this comment has been on our review page from over two years. This was written with malicious intent as the property protocol was violated with unnecessary behavior. We tried to reason, but our beautiful property by was disrespected inappropriate actions. Although, some of the comments such as the absence of a washer and dryer are true. We have been located here for over 30 years and this has not deterred people from coming here time after time. In 30 years technology has become more embedded within our society. We have gone through the transitions of learning and adapting our way of communication with the majority of people. Perhaps why this comment has not come to our attention sooner. However, we are available through phone, email and will respond to you as soon as possible because your experience matters to us. We at the Coyote Roadhouse preserve the integrity of experiencing Montana in its natural setting. We are sorry that this old reservation did not have the same interests. Thank you, Coyote.
