Watch the sun set on the Pacific Ocean from this cozy studio in sunny south Maui. Located just across the street from a glorious white sand beach at Kam II, Kihei Akahi is ideally located on South Kihei Road to access all of Maui's attractions. Walk to shopping, restaurants and the beach, all less than a block away. Winter brings the whales to Maui beginning in November. Sunny summer days are blessed with ocean breezes and trade winds which keep Kihei comfortable. Need it a little cooler, this studio has AC and ceiling fans, plus great air flow to enjoy your vacation in paradise. Bring your favorite music along and dock it into the ipod/iphone stereo/charger.
Have a morning cup of coffee on your ocean view balcony and view the water, the island of Lanai, and the pool and tennis courts which are just steps away from your island getaway. Your cozy home-away-from-home has a comfy queen bed, cable TV, free secure internet/WIFI and all surrounded by lush tropical landscaping. Accessed by elevator or stairs, you can easily roll your suitcase right into your studio.
A full kitchen, full bath with tub/shower, Maytag Netune washer and dryer in the unit and a roomy living area with a fold-away Murphy bed to open up the space. Dining inside or out for two, fully equipped kitchen, full size refrigerator and stove, and plenty of closet space and storage to un-pack, stash your suit cases away and feel at home.
Why pay more for a hotel room, when you can have all the amenities such as a pool, tennis, beach access, proximity to restaurants, all for an affordable price. Plus you have a full kitchen to fix your own meals if you choose to stay in and enjoy the sunset and the warm tropical evenings.

Sandy purchased this Condo in 2000
Why Sandy chose Kihei
After visiting Kihei Akahi for 20 years, we walked into this condo, looked out the kitchen window and made an offer on the spot.
What makes this Condo unique
Jack loves to read on the lani when we aren't walking on the beach or swimming. Central location gives easy access to all parts of the island. Cafe O'Lei just down the street is one of our favorite restaurants.

Had a wonderful time in the Condo with a wonderful Ocean View and even had 2 rainbows.
The Murphy Bed slept great and is so easy to use.
Everything there that I needed...it was set up exactly as described. You will enjoy it too :)
Steps to the beach across the street. Loved it.
We are so glad to hear from all of you, a great vacation for you is what we aim for. Thanks for letting us know. Jack and Sandy
Perfect for Two
Just like all the other reviews said, this is a gem. Views, comfort, quiet, cosy, etc. This is the second condo we have booked with these owners and they are terrific. Check it out!
Fun, Aloha Spirit!
I'm new to the VRBO thing, and thought I might get scammed by "ocean view" and "easy beach access." But this little studio apartment was a gem. Absolutely as advertised. Kamaole beach was perfect - sandy, fun waves ... I ran 2.5k south and easily hopped a few areas of lava outcroppings to put together a fun beach run. Point is, you could stroll along lovely beaches for hours from this condo. At night we could hear the surf ... and the ocean view was lovely. The hide-a-bed was comfy. Owner provided beach chairs, coolers. I'm coming back for more!
Quiet, cool, view studio
This 3rd floor view studio was wonderful. The web photos do not do justice to the great views .
This 3rd floor studio surpassed my expectations. The views from the lanai were incredible, especially the sunsets. The web pictures only show views from the kitchen and omit great views from living room or lanai.
It is located in a very quiet location away from the lanais on the front of the C. bldg. The studio was so refreshing to enter with the large comfortable wall bed and the obvious cleanliness of furniture, kitchen and bathroom. New Maytag front loaders were very efficient and quiet. I recommend this unit to everyone; as noted, it is not convenient for children.
Look forward to awakening early to the wonderful tropical birdsongs.
Recommend Hawaiian Moons health food store salad and hot bar for meals etc. Foodland grocery store supports the Hawaiian people so I suggest purchasing in this store instead of the huge monopoly of Safeway.
Recommend driving or getting the 'Maui Bus' to Wailea (a few minutes away). Maui Bus has really improved over the years and is very reliable. Wailea Beach is lovely and calmer than the 3 Kamaole beaches when they have surf and high waves. Wailea beach now has a road sign so you can find it more easily than years ago.
The 'Swap Meet" held every Sat. morning in Kahului, is great for meeting artists, seeing/buying their work and is much cheaper for same items than at stores on the island. Misnamed, it should be called a produce and artists' market :)Thank you, the information received in advance was really informative and helpful.
