About Kent Barker

After college I moved to Denver and developed an extensive sales background and continued my education. I worked for Federal Express for 13 years and pursued an M.B.A. Moving to Vail in October of 1995 I joined the team of Slifer Smith & Frampton where my corporate background, hard work and determination earned me Rookie of the Year honors in 1996. I have continued to maintain high production rankings in the company by receiving the prestigious "Eagle Award" as one of Slifer Smith and Frampton's Top Producing Brokers in 2001,2002, 2003, and in 2004 again received the "Eagle Award" and was recognized as the Top Producing Broker in Cordillera. I was recently awarded Listor of the year for 2006. I have also received CRS designation, Certified Residential Specialist and GRI, Graduate Realtor Institute. I am currently the Branch Broker of The Summit Office in Cordillera and specialize in selling real estate in Cordillera where I am a homeowner and club member. Activities and Community Services: I am the President and Founder of the Vail Polo Club and enjoy utilizing my string of polo ponies by often showing customers property on horseback. Some of my other passions are fly fishing, golf and skiing. I also organize local polo tournaments to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation as well as dedicating a weekend in September every year to organize and play in The Make-A-Wish Foundation Polo Tournament in Denver Colorado with my brother Scott. The most rewarding aspect of my real estate career is the opportunity to establish long lasting friendships with my customers.
