About Nancy Kinerk

Burt and I are both native Tucsonans and met while attending the University of Arizona. We have lived in our home, right next door to our VRBO listing, for over 40 years. We bought the cottage for my mother-in-law so she could be closer to us and she lived happily there for almost ten years. She was a wonderful, wise woman and loved everything about the house. Everyone who stays there, either as VRBO guests or our personal guests, loves it as well, and we think you will too!

Nancy Kinerk purchased this house in 1993

Comfortable home away from home

  • 5 of 5

Stayed here on a weekend trip to Tucson - conveniently located for us, and easy to get back and forth. Good coffee shop nearby, but the house has a teakettle and coffee maker if you don't want to go out; we didn't fix meals, but the kitchen has all the usual tools for cooking. Bathrooms were vintage/retro, but functional and charming. Beds comfortable, nice to have two living rooms to spread out in. A little hard to find late at night (street name changes near the park), but the photo helped! Charming backyard patio, near a nice park too. Would stay here again!

Perfect location, great house

  • 5 of 5

This house is in one of my favorite neighborhoods of central tucson. It's quiet and provides quick access to the university, shops and restaurants. It's great for walks. The house is clean and has all the amenities you can need. My young son loved the patio, which became his "little garden." We would definitely rent this again.

Cottage Stay

The house and the owners are lovely. There is a private patio in back with shade that adds to the ambience. The house is conveniently located in the city. All around, a wonderful experience.

A great place to stay

  • 5 of 5

The property was exactly how it was described. It included everything you needed and then some. The property was clean and very well maintained. The owner was very friendly and stopped by to check in. She was available for us if we needed anything (but we didn't). We have recommended this property to friends & family as a great place to stay!

Better than a Cottage--- a Historic charming SW tile-roof rambler.

This is a great place to stay while in Tucson. Very centrally located near U of A Medical Center in a historic neighborhood, Catalina Vista.. Houses from the 1940-1950s. Our house had 2 BR, 2 baths, Family room, living room, WIFI, patio and grill, potted plants out front. The owner, Nancy, is very accommodating. Answering all questions. Great residential walking neighborhood....walk south a few blocks to Sam Hughes neighborhood which is probabably the creme-de la creme as far as center city neighbohoods go. Of course you could rent in a "gated community" in the outskirts, but if you want a little history and charm, and central to sites N, W, S, E of Tucson rent in Catalina Vista or Sam Hughes. House had many amentities: more than the web site lists; coffee filters, spices, S & P, wine cork screw, a mini- cooler for packing hiking lunches, paper towels , foil, plastic bags, even a Scrabble board which our family loves. Owner lives next door. Across the street is the neighborhood park- swings, picnic tables. You will be happy you chose Catalina Vista.

Can't go wrong!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I returned to Tucson to visit our sons at U of A. The cottage was just as described in a safe, quiet neighborhood. The home is nicely maintained, clean and comfortable. We received our full cleaning deposit back within days of returning home. Why stay at Holiday Inn when you can rent a great place like this? Would recommend without reservation.
