Why Kurt Hansmeier chose Boegoeroei
I first came to Aruba in 1999 and saw people windsurfing on a high wind day. I came back 3 months later for a 30 day trip to learn how to windsurf. Fell in love with the place. This is my third home on Aruba. It is a dream home. Come have fun on Aruba.

Okay, 2,500 word review to commence. Our first time to Aruba. We were a family of 6 and the five bedrooms here afforded all 4 kids their own room. Each room was comfortable and a place to chill if you wanted some alone time. The grounds are phenomenal—-we ate meals outside on the covered table, played pool while listening to our music over the powerful wireless speakers, and swam in the tropical grotto pool when we were there. The hot tub was another frequent hangout in the evening watching the colorful sunsets. So much to do outside if you want something to do other than lounging by the pool. The house interior was my haven—The whole house air conditioning was always on keeping the house cool to the extreme! At previous Caribbean rentals we’ve been told to only turn the A/C on during certain hours as it is costly. I’m sure it is the same here but Diego told us to keep it on all the time to maintain the dry, cool, air throughout the house. I settled into a comfy couch with a good book and enjoyed the magnificent view while the others swam and sunned outside during the prime tanning hours which were too much for my pasty white Norwegian complexion 🤣. We had virtually zero issues other than a couple blown fuses when we arrived which were promptly reset by Diego, the caretaker for our stay. Diego also fixed us a Caribbean dinner one night made from the black fin tuna we caught the day before. Phenomenal! The Villa is close to all major island activity, no more than 10 minutes drive from downtown Oranjestad or the high rise district where many of the popular beaches are. You can’t walk there as it is roughly 3-6 miles depending on where you are going so renting a car is highly recommended. Taxis are available should you prefer that route, but for us having the flexibility to go places on our own was important. Driving was a breeze and easily navigated with Google maps. The house seemed recently renovated as beautiful Caribbean art was on display. Plenty of linens, towels, kitchen utensils, beach toys....everything we needed. A Super Foods store (comparable to Whole Foods) was only a mile or two down the road. I’ve seen some comments about the roosters and chickens running around and you do hear them bright and early but we aren’t there to sleep in and they added a little island vibe to waking up! All said, this was an A+ experience. The owner, Kurt, was just a total pleasure to talk to and accommodating. We’d go again in a heartbeat. Perfect vacay!
Paradise in Aruba
Wow Aruba Villa Tropical is a fabulous place! A group of nine of us rented the villa for our annual Aruba trip. We had an absolutely marvelous time! The villa was well appointed and immaculate upon arrival. The caretaker Javier was amazing! He and Diego prepared a Latin barbecue for us one night that was absolutely delicious . They prepared the meal and even cleanup afterwords it was marvelous. Whenever we had an issue or a question we just called Javier and he was there immediately taking care of everything . We had an issue with hot water in two of the bathrooms. He quickly came over to regulate the water temperature.
The outdoor area was beautiful it consisted of a pool with a waterfall, a Jacuzzi, ping pong table and outdoor speakers. It was though we were in our own private resort. All of the creature comforts of home in paradise.
Thanks Kurt and Javier for the hospitality a marvelous time was had by all!
My team and I thank you for your business and your positive vibes while on Aruba. We are so happy that you had a great time. We look forward to seeing you next year.
The property was perfect for my family of 7. The owner has thought of every detail you would need when your on vacation. The pool ,waterfall were amazing. The property manager was great when we called he was there in minutes to solve or help with any issue. We travel a lot as a family and this is the best island property we have stayed at . Len
We had a very good time in the beautiful and luxury house with our family, consisting of a couple with 3 children (8,6,6) and 2 singles. There is plenty space for playing and also privacy. We specially enjoyed the pool, the dining place outside, the garden and the view. Boegoeroei is not too far from the beaches and supermarket.
We are so pleased that you had a wonderful vacation. Thank you for your business and we look forward to seeing you again soon.
The highlight of the house is truly the amazing backyard, pool and cabana!
Our family of 11 (ages ranging from 10 to 84) stayed the week before Easter. I've been travelling to Aruba for about 30 years and have always stayed in a hotel or my timeshare but this year couldn't get enough rooms for our large group. So we rented the house this time instead. The best part was that we had the gorgeous yard and pool to all be together over morning coffee and evenings in the pool or relaxing under the cabana. Kurt has the yard wired with a great sound system so we had music playing all the time. There is even a Smart TV outside under the main cabana and we were able to log into our MLB app and watch the Yankee games outside at night.
We did an "early" Easter for the kids complete with an egg hunt which was a lot of fun. The kitchen has everything you need and we also used the outdoor grill quite a bit. The only item I would say that needs some work is that one side of the house does not get good hot water in the bathrooms. We ended up using the master bath for most of us and this was only a challenge on nights where we were going out for dinner and had reservations to make. Kurt, the owner, is in constant contact and very easy to reach and Javier is just wonderful. We didn't have too may items to raise to him, but when we did he was there in an instant. We went to the beach a few days and it is just a 5 minute drive. I would probably recommend that they get a few more beach towels and chairs to use at the beach (the kind that you can lay down on)….but these are minor things. We had fun watching the baby chickens and got used to our morning "alarm clock" of the roosters crowing. They are a riot to watch!
