About Debbie Chambers

We first bought a humble cabin in 1983 where we quickly became Whistler Weekend Warriors. It was a wonderful life coming from North Vancouver and raising the kids in the lifestyle that we loved. We purchased Chalet Whistler in 2007 and spend 2 - 4 days a week here making sure that attention to every detail is to the highest standards. In our future plans we will make the move from North Vancouver to retire here at the chalet in the area of Whistler that we love.

Debbie Chambers purchased this house in 2007

Why Debbie Chambers chose Spring Creek

This property was the most beautiful we could imagine ever owning. The architectural detail is amazing. No expense has been spared in finishings and the ambience is wonderful. The location is top notch with privacy and views and located on lovely street in a new, high end neighbourhood where the property owners have similar high standards.

Beautiful chalet. Best self catering accommodation ever stayed in.

  • 5 of 5

Accommodation was immaculate. The facilities were excellent. Didn't even have to buy washing power. Kitchen had all appliances including essential kitchen cupboard provisions. Lovely area in Spring Creek which is only 10 min drive to Whistler. Ideal property for large groups. Nice to chill out in the evening having BBQ and a soak in the hot tub. The chalet was beautifully furnished and a real home from home. Highly recommend this property.

Looked for a last minute place for New Years weekend for my family ( including grown up kids and grandkids) in Whistler. Luckily we found Debbie and Rick's beautiful Chalet. Debbie was very caring and responsive to the phone calls/texts and ready to answer all my questions. I even called her on the way up to ask what kind of coffee machine they have in order to purchase the right coffee and she said they have coffee there we can use. Certainly did not expect this answer!

For my 2 grand kids ( 2 and 3 y olds) this was a great palace to run up and down the stairs and along the long hallway upstairs. Steps and the hallway upstairs was carpeted, so it was not slippery and was very safe. House is great for socializing with family and friends. Main floor has kitchen, dining area and family room all one huge open space with vaulted ceiling. Main floor has stone and wood floors and it was so pleasant to step on the warm floor - so enjoyed the radiant floor heat.

Main Master bed upstairs is quite a distance away from the other two bedrooms upstairs at the end of the house. One of them was a smaller Master and the other bedroom had bath across the hall. Kids slept well sharing the bed in the bedroom next to their parents in smaller Master. My husband and I are quite sensitive about the mattress and the one we slept on was excellent.

Our two other single grown ups decided to stay behind, so we did not use another smaller family room and bedroom with bathroom on the lower level. There was also a large closet downstairs with two extra cot beds one could have used.

We go to Whistler every year and have a time share in Whistler close to " all things happening" and it has its own advantages and disadvantages. it was certainly nice to spend time in a quiet place in the woods. It is only 6 km drive from Whistler village and parking is very close to the gondola in Whistler and it is even a shorter distance to drive to Creekside gondola.

My grandkids really liked the snow and we were lucky there was plenty of this white powder. The first night after we woke up for 21 inches of it. The road and our drive way in front of two car garage was cleaned up early morning - around 7 am, so we did not have to worry about getting out. And there was still plenty of untouched powder everywhere. Kids got to roll in the snow and even got to shovel it and had fun doing it.

Home Sweet Home

  • 5 of 5

We had a great stay in Whistler. The home is beautiful and very well appointed and a short 10 minute drive to Whistler village. The description and pictures don't do it justice. We cooked several meals at the house but also took in the restaurants in Whistler Village. Reserve an afternoon that includes the massage package at the Scandinavian Spa and depending on the time of year, rafting or other activities with Tag Adventures. We had a great dinner one night at 21 Steps and definitely go to Splitz Burgers in the Village - Amazing.

The house is well designed. The open kitchen / dining / great room with power room on the main floor is the heart of the home. Upstairs, there were two en-suite bedrooms plus a 3rd bedroom / bath. Downstairs, there is a separate bedroom / bath / and den. While bed configurations are limited to single beds (King / Queen) in all of the bedroom, there were fold-out cots available in the closet downstairs.

The hosts were always quick to response to any questions and very helpful.

Also, the house is about a 10-15 minute drive from Whistler Village and the mountain . but we loved the space and which may not work for

We had a great summer stay in Whistler. This house is on a quiet street and we loved the view out the back. The house had everything we needed and more, we would definitely stay again. One in our group remarked that the house seems even bigger in person than the way it looks in the pictures. We would recommend the Train Wreck hike and a visit to the Olympic Village, both are very near the house. Whistler Brewing and Coast Mountain brewing are right near the house. We especially liked Coast Mountain which is very small, but the beer is excellent. Debbie was a great, she made us feel welcome and let us know she was available for any questions but we had no issues at all so we did not need to contact her. Can't wait to visit again.
