You've heard about the views and the cabin but here is what you need to know...

  • 5 of 5

We've been to Thunderstruck about a half a dozen times and, indeed, the view and the cabin keep bringing us back. What you really need to know, however, is that Lissa and Scott are the perfect hosts. Lissa's legal background protects both them and their guests because everything is clearly spelled out. You have to admit that VRBO can be a little nerve-wracking because you don't really know what you will find until you arrive. With Lissa and Scott you have nothing to fear. Select a date, go up the mountain and expect nothing short of 5 stars.

Perfect getaway!

  • 5 of 5

What an amazing week we had at Thunderstruck Ridge cabin. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed. Comfy bed, well stocked kitchen, and great deck. But the star of the show was that fantastic view. Truly incredible! We spent many hours on the porch taking it all in. We were even treated on one afternoon when an elk visited the yard! I can't say enough good things...we cannot wait to go back! Lissa & Scott were so easy to work with and all of their recommendations were spot on. Don't hesitate to book this gem!

Views as seen from Heaven

  • 5 of 5

We had another fantastic May vacation we really feel that Thunderstruck is a magical place. We have been vacationing in the Mountains for over 30 years. This very special cabin has everything and more to enjoy but by far the best scenic view in the mountains. It is comfortable and very well appointed for any need you may have. Not sure Lissa and Scott have this much pull but Last May 5th midafternoon it snowed and we loved it. This year our trip was for May 6th we were driving thru Maggie Valley it was 42 degrees. As we headed for the Cabin the temp started dropping. By the time we were going under the Great Smoky Mountains Parkway…… it was reading 31 degrees….. and snowing we could not believe it. “Pretty sure Lissa & Scott arranged this”

Anyway this is the best Cabin in the Smokey’s and we hope you experience the magic of the Thunderstruck Cabin.

"Life is Good"

  • 5 of 5

Each and every time we stay in Thunderstruck Ridge we know exactly why we keep coming back; after making the 10 1/2 hour drive, we immediately open the cabin door, head for the porch, and take in the view! Did I mention that the inside of Thunderstruck is wonderful?...Well, IT IS!!!

DELIGHTFUL MOUNTAIN TOP CABIN

  • 5 of 5

Large cabin way up high with fabulous views! Very private but close enough to enjoy the good restaurants in the area. Perfect for cooking out on the large porch on the grill. Everything was there that we needed in the kitchen. The cabin was beautifully furnished and very comfortable. There were just two of us but room for many more! We would enjoy going back again.
