Cottage, 3 Bedrooms + Convertible bed(s), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6-7)

Beautiful Newer Property (built 2006), 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, approximately 1300 square feet in the woods and very secluded area. If your looking for that Summer get away from the heat in Phoenix or that Winter Wonderland for Skiing than look no further. Cottage has a large Balcony/Patio to eat outside or just rest and relax. All the amenities of home are here in the cottage, cable TV in 2 bedrooms and living room area. Carpet and Wood floors in all the right places.

Property is located off of Rainbow Lake Drive and you can walk to the lake from the cottage. Cottage also is at the end of the street so no drive through traffic. Very close to the shopping in Pinetop and all the wonderful restaurants, or you can cook and stay at home. Within a couple of miles of the Go Kart track, and other recreational facilities. There is plenty of room to sleep 7 comfortably and if the kids need to go on the floors there is more room available. Rates will vary depending on the time of year.

About The Owner

I am a Realtor in the East Valley Phoenix Area with other business ventures also.

The Owner purchased this cottage in 2006

Why The Owner chose Pinetop-Lakeside

I chose this area for a couple of reasons. a) It is only a 3 hour drive from the East Valley of Phoenix to escape the heat. b) There is plenty to do in the Pinetop-Lakeside area. To get more specific on my property choice was it was brand new cottage, it's at the end of the street to avoid any traffic and is very secluded.

What makes this cottage unique

I enjoy the large Balcony/Patio to go outside and sit and relax in the nice weather from April-October.

Wonderful getaway!

My family rented this cabin for three day weekend. It was amazing! It's well kept, roomy, and ideal for kids. The owner couldn't have been nicer and was a pleasure to work with. We can't wait to go back!

not bad for the price

  • 4 of 5

our family of 5 had planned on a camping trip up north for the memorial weekend, but storms and fire bans squashed that we found this cabin on craigslist three days before the was a GREAT deal for this size cabin on such short notice, so i gave the owner a call. The owner was extremely courteous, and helpful. I was a little timid about giving him my card information, but he quickly got me a receipt and the deal was done. Just as a side note, this is a private party, so you do get charged up front immediately instead of when you're at the location---that was a little nerve racking too, but it turned out ok! The home sits in a quiet area that's less than a mile from the main strip. We found the inside of the cabin to be a bit dirty and there appeared to be some drywall damage, and the sliding glass door to the patio didn't work, but we most definitely didn't expect the ritz... quite frankly nearly every cabin that we've stayed in that has been under $200 a night is right there with it, so no worries. The owner had also told me his cleaning person hadn't been up to par, and he was looking for somebody better, so I kind of expected a bit of dirt-probably hard to find good companies in a small town. It was a cute little cabin, and our whole family enjoyed ourselves a bunch! If we make it back up to the area i'd probably stay here again!

Owner's Response: Thank you Ryan and Sherry for the kind response and I hope to see you again this winter for the skiing or next summer. And of course yes trying to find the reliable help that will show up for cleanings can be difficult, the dirt road and then if vacant for a couple of weeks can add that dust. If the builder was still in business I would get him to come out and take care of some of the drywall that happens when any house settles. The sliding door and screen door slides with no problem, just not sure when the lock part broke and the wood sticks work well to not let anyone in. Thanks Tom

Spring Break

  • 4 of 5

I had stayed here at the "cottage" in February 2014 with a friend and like the layout. I thought it would be a great place for spring break with the grandchildren. The cottage is at the end of the road so there were no worries with the children (5 of them, ages 5-10) playing outside. There was plenty of room for everyone to sleep, eat, and be merry. I, we will stay there again.

Wonderful cabin and a great experience with owner!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I stayed in this cabin last weekend for a birthday trip. The cabin is conveniently located in the middle of the city of Pinetop, but is tucked away in the woods. It was in great condition and realy felt like home. The owner is fantastic and answered emails and phone calls right away and was very accommodating!. I highly recommend this property.
