Property description

This renovated 1 Bedroom, 1 Bathroom Condo features a newly remodeled and fully stocked kitchen and has an amazing ocean view from the sixth floor lanai. A comfortable king bed is the center-piece of a tastefully appointed master bedroom. In the living room, you'll find a luxury sofa that converts to a second bed, useful for overnight guests or families with small children. For the rare rainy day, you'll have cable-ready HD television and DVD player, free wi-fi internet, as well as an assortment of books, movies, and games. On the more common sunny Kihei days, the south facing lanai welcomes in sunshine, making this condo bright and airy. Living room air-conditioning allows for comfort during the midday heat, and front and rear louvered windows allow for fantastic cross-breezes over night.

Kihei Akahi offers two swimming pools, propane grills, tennis court, elevators, and on-site security. You'll be steps away from one of Maui's most beautiful white sand beaches, where travelers from around the world come to relax in the sun, snorkel with exotic fish, and view majestic humpback whales. We'll provide beach chairs, a beach umbrella and beach towels for your added convenience. There are lots of restaurants and great shopping within walking distance. You're also close to grocery, equipment rentals, and playgrounds.

20% down to hold a reservation, Balance due 45 days before check-in. Holiday and peak season rates and required lengths of stay maybe different than posted. Credit cards, checks and money orders are accepted. Minimum night stay varies among the various rental units.

About: Aloha...we are Jim & Vicki and we live in the lovely little town of Mukilteo just north of Seattle. I am a retired high school bookkeeper and Jim is a locomotive engineer. We love to travel. This picture was taken at the top of the Canadian Rockies in Banff...a little colder than Maui! We love our Maui condo and hope to retire there for at least half the year. We love to share this place with our family and friends and with friends we haven't yet met. Friends who return every year to the Akahi suggested that we list our condo on VRBO as that's how they find their favorite vacation spots...so here we are...hope you will be our guests! Why Kihei, HI, USA:
We had vacationed in Hawaii several times and found that we liked Maui the best...not as busy as Oahu and not as laid back as Kauai and we liked Kihei Town as it is affordable and attracts regular folks like us. The Akahi is so well located to everything we love to do and the people we meet here are so wonderful. The staff are friendly and helpful and the resort is well maintained and managed. We love to go to the beach in the morning for snorkeling, swimming or boogie boarding and, if we hit the pool, that's early afternoon...a great place to meet new friends. Nightlife...Moose's is the best for Happy Hour, Fred's is great too and we can walk home! About six blocks down, we enjoy the locals and the games at the Sports Page. They have every game (satellite) and even a special room for hockey for our Canadian friends! There are so many great little towns and beaches to discover and the Hana side is so beautiful. Traveling all over the island is memorable...upcountry and Haleakala. It's also fun to go to Wailea's shops and restaurants...without paying the high price to stay there! Kihei is still the best for everything...great restaurants, beaches, pubs and shopping...as well as the very best people.
