From every window in the house you will enjoy a wonderful view. Original contemporary art and antiques fill your home. Quality linens and soft goods are provided throughout. In cool weather, two fireplaces and in-floor radiant heat help you stay cozy as well as a sauna. And, when you are outside there is a large fire pit facing the Continental Divide and Lake Granby.

About Sarah Sweeney
Wonderview Cabin has been a labor of love since its construction, and it is a unique setting for our family, as well as friends and renters alike. We live in the mountains and love the snow, spectacular summers, fantastic climate, and the breathtaking vistas from the porch at Wonderview Cabin. When it comes to hosting guests at Wonderview we work to ensure our guests make fond memories while having the stay of a lifetime on high!
Sarah Sweeney purchased this Lodge in 2009
Why Sarah Sweeney chose Granby
Rocky Mountain National Park (RMNP), wildlife, fishing, hiking, canoeing, skiing, cross country skiing, snowmobiling, horse back riding, golfing, snow shoeing, lakes, and sledding are a few of the reasons we chose to build in Grand County. There is aggressive hiking for the adventurous, beautiful less strenuous hikes along the Colorado River, and, at dusk, some of the best animal watching on the planet. Grand Lake is an unpretentious western town with the deepest lake in Colorado. We would say Grand County is a true reflection of what Colorado is all about!
What makes this Lodge unique
The views transport you and it is easy to spend hours on the porch or looking out the windows watching the colors, the sky, and the animals come and go. This lodge realizes all the images we hold of what a 'lodge' is: the hearth, the warmth, the beauty, the serenity, the comfort, the quiet, nature finding her way into the home. The windows are abundant allowing guests to enjoy all the views. Cooking at Wonderview is a communal experience with the kitchen producing meals that everyone proudly takes ownership of--crepes are a lodge favorite. On the wraparound covered porch is a large grill and a picnic table for the whole crowd. There are plenty of rockers on the porch for everyone to sit outside--chipmunks and hummingbirds are regular visitors. You'll find puzzles and games, DVDs, a Nintendo, and DirecTV to enjoy. A beautiful llama and alpaca farm can be visited across the road.

Fabulous location and facility. We had 4 couples comfortably ensconced here and had a great time. Close to many x-c ski and snowshoe opportunities. We found everything we needed there and had a great time. This place has a "world class" wood burning stove and great sunset views.
Beautiful cabin with fantastic views out every window
We recently attended a wedding in Granby and were fortunate enough to stay in this beautiful cabin. It is fully furnished, clean, comfortable, and can accommodate a few families. We had 3 different families, with small children, and we had plenty of space. The large dining room table allowed us to all sit down to breakfast together. The house "fox" paid us a visit a few times and posed for quite a few pictures. The view is outstanding and is visible from all windows. Our weather was not good, so we weren't able to take advantage of the porch, but on nice days you would never want to leave the cabin. We are from the east coast, so when we hear it is going to snow, we stock up on bread and milk (never could figure out why). So plan ahead because on September 30 it snowed!! The closest grocery store is in Granby and about 20-30 mins away. Take a drive further down the road and enjoy the ranches that are in the "neighborhood" Grand Lake is close by and it filled with nice shops and a few nice restaurants. We were there for a family wedding, with about 40 of us there from the east, so there wasn't time to do much exploring. Would highly encourage this property.
Wonderful time in a Beautiful home !!
Our family all met together in Granby for a wedding and staying in Wonderview cabin added to the magic of the weekend. Sarah and her family have created the perfect mountain getaway.
The home is warm and inviting and filled with so many amenities from the fluffy towels and comfy beds and lines to the amazing gourmet kitchen and the rocking chairs on the beautiful wrap around porch!. The views are breathtaking! We highly recommend this mountain getaway and look forward to returning in the future!!
Too good to be true. Dream cabin!
This is really too hard to give the cabin the justice it deserves. It blew away our family's expectations, and we have done several of these VRBO cabins. Sarah and her family know how to create the perfect mountain feel with their amazing cabin. We were very comfortable the entire time and really almost felt like we shouldn't leave the cabin during the day, as it was that nice. I'm an outdoorsman and we had moose, elk, fox, ground squirrels all over the cabin each day. Memories for a lifetime were created and I hope to return with my family again someday.
We had a wonderful family vacation here. The cabin was perfect for our 7 adults and 5 children. We enjoyed nearby activities of skiing, snowmobiling and tubing. It couldn't have been more perfect! We are already planning the next trip here.
We joined our friends in this beautiful home over the New Year. We couldn't have asked for a better set up. Nice open floor plan with plenty of space for all. The house had everything we needed and extra. The view from the large porch was beautiful. We loved watching the sunrise and the breathtaking sunsets. We will be returning to this beautiful escape. The owners of the property answered every question quickly and offered so much additional information on the area.
Right between Grand Lake and Granby, with spectacular views of the lake and mountain range. Golf, boating, fishing, snowmobiling, skiing--it's all right out your door!
