A rural retreat

  • 5 of 5

As a family of 5, we felt very comfortable here. The property is on acreage on the outskirts of Rome just north of Pomezia. We had a hire car, however, we used the Metro train from Laurentina to get into the city (from door to city 45 mins). Licia was a wealth of knowledge & recommended many places of interest (outside the main attractions). The accommodation provided the necessary equipment to cook for a family of 5. The apartment was generous in size. In our down time, the grounds were explored by the kids; table tennis, space to kick the soccer ball, bikes & a swimming pool. If you're a cat lover, there are a number of affectionate cats that roam the property. We would highly recommend this accommodation & thank Licia & Eli for their assistance in making our stay a fantastic one!

Perfect for our family

  • 5 of 5

Absolutely loved this property, it was in a beautiful setting, quite and relaxed. The accommodation was right for us, clean comfortable and with everything we needed to make our holiday a success.

The customer service was outstanding, Licia did so much to help us before and during our holiday, organising taxi's and travel passes that made things so easy for us. Her knowledge of the local area gave us ideas for days out that we hadn't thought about.

We would definitely recommend this property to friends and family and we already have.

As a family we were able to travel to and from Rome easily and saw everything we wanted to. As the accommodation was on the outskirts of Rome it also gave us time to relax in the evenings. Perfect combination for us.

There is a restaurant, corner shop and butcher's which catered to our needs, all on the bus route.

We chose Licia's rental because we wanted to be close to, but not in, Rome - it was perfect. Our unit had everything we needed and was incredibly clean. We rented the upper unit and had 2 large balconies to choose from, both with beautiful views of the Italian countryside. Public transportation is right outside the gates so to get back and forth into Rome was simple and fun. Licia is a wealth of information and also provides each guest room with a long, written list of answers to pretty much anything a tourist might need to know. Her groundskeeper, Eli, is incredibly friendly and is usually available to drive guests (for a small fee - much cheaper than a cab) to places that the public transport does not go. After a busy day sightseeing in Rome, Villa Licia was the perfect ending. Thank you for a great holiday.

Enjoy it a lot!

We were group of 5 adults and a baby. We stayed on Vigna Licia 1 and it was perfect. Terrace with amazing view surrounded almost the whole house.

We swam every morning in the pool and after that we ate breakfest on the terrace:) House owner Licia was very nice and the housekeeper Eli was the best. Eli drove us to the nearest villages for just a small fee and was very nice to talk with. For a baby there was also portable baby crip.

Cause we didn´t had the car we had to take bus and metro to Rome and after first time it started to feel a bit long. It took about 1 hour with changes. But if there is "grazy" bus-driver who drives fast it will take only 30-45min:)

Overall i would highly recommend this house!!!

Perfect retreat

  • 5 of 5

This villa was perfect for my family, easy to find from airport only ten minutes driver from metro to get us into to Rome. Short drive to the coast and surrounding villages.Lucia was the perfect hoist, waiting to greet us and explain everything about the villa and places to visit. Elli the caretaker was always on hand and ready to help. The accommodation we had was perfect. We loved the double balcony and was able to follow the sun round all day, the pool was perfect for cooling off in after a long hot day in Rome.

It was also close to a lovely local shop and butchers in a nice quiet location with lovely views.

Fabulous place to stay. Peaceful and quiet in the beautiful countryside. Close to Rome with easy access into the city by car, metro or bus. The apartment and grounds immaculate with swimming pool, hot tub, and football net, swings and table tennis for children. LIcia was lovely, very helpful and knowledgeable about how to get around, places to visit, shopping and restaurants. We would recommend Vigna Licia for a combination of sightseeing and relaxing in beautiful peaceful surroundings.
