Beautiful home in the Willamette Valley countryside located up a long driveway at the top of the hill with views for miles! Peace and quiet with no neighbors nearby, and lots of space in this 5500 sq. ft. home. Luxury amenities include pool table, wet bar, and dance floor, formal dining room, huge family room, and a party room that is 40 ft long! Crank up the gas grill or fix your dinner in the fabulous gourmet kitchen and eat either in the formal dining room, breakfast area, or out on the deck to take in the beautiful valley and mountain views. Personal chef may be available.

Enjoy either of the two 80-foot long decks for afternoon cocktails and relax in the evening with plenty of space. Bedrooms are large and located in various wings and floors of this two-story home for maximum privacy. Bathrooms (4) are adjacent to bedrooms and living areas. Five bedrooms, with three of them set up with twin beds that can be made up as king-size, so can be split for children, singles, or couples (notify), plus there is a sofa bed for your large family reunion, touring group, or retreat. The master suite is luxuriously furnished, with marble and granite bathroom.

Shopping at Costco, Trader Joe's, and other major stores is only about 20 minutes away, with a terrific market right in town. Nearest winery is 2.3 miles, with Willamette Valley's finest wineries abundant and great restaurants as well. Tired of wine tasting? Try going for a horseback ride at the horse rental area just a short walk down the hill! Or get out your bike and enjoy the rolling country roads. Don't miss the fantastic dahlia farm right up the road - colors are beyond your imagination!

Please note that I do NOT accept on-line booking through the VRBO website. You must contact me to book. This saves you booking and credit card fees. Also - we have a beautiful home and I need to screen renters to avoid people who trash our home.

Eight International Golfers

  • 5 of 5

Wonderful house which was absolutely perfect for eight people. Plenty of space and pretty much everything you would need to live, eat, and sleep in the house. Situated centrally to many great golf courses in the Willamette Valley region. In fact, no more than an hour drive to all of the courses we played. Vineyards and wineries within 30 minutes from the property. The billiards table provided some excellent entertainment for late evenings. Finally, the owner of the property was so helpful, providing for all of our needs and even helping to stock the refrigerator with meats that we BBQ'd on the grill outside. Would recommend this house for anyone, but particularly for groups of golfers who are looking for a beautiful and efficient place to stay.

Stunning, spacious and special!

  • 5 of 5

Eleven of us (ages 19-92) gathered in Gaston to celebrate a college graduation. We stayed at this incredible home for four fabulous nights. We cooked most of our meals in the kitchen. We relaxed, went on walks or runs, visited local wineries, had an outing to the coast, and savored long mornings and evenings on the decks overlooking a spectacular view of Oregon countryside.

The home is absolutely lovely – spacious, functional, and comfortably luxurious with stunning views. It is large enough for eleven people to live easily together. There were plenty of private areas for those who wanted occasional quiet time, easy-to-find working areas, places where small groups could gather separately, and spaces (with tables) where we could all gather together. Different sleeping schedules were easy to accommodate because bedrooms are well spaced and quiet. The kitchen is fantastically equipped, and meals were a pleasure to prepare. Table settings, glassware and utensils are high quality and plentiful. The appliances were great (two coffee makers accommodated loads of coffee each morning). Beds and couches in all rooms were exceptionally comfortable. The bedrooms are nicely laid out, and the master bedroom suite is particularly quiet and beautiful, with direct access to the deck and early morning sun. AT&T service was spotty in the surrounding areas, so we were particularly happy to have good WiFi in the home.

Did I mention the views? We enjoyed a >180o view of wine country from the upper deck with stunning aspects from almost any room in the home. We counted seven hawks wheeling the skies one morning. We had walkers and runners in our group, and all enjoyed options straight from the house into the surrounding countryside. We had spectacular spring weather and could not have come at a better time of year (mid-May) to enjoy the views and area.

The owner is friendly and easy to work with. She asked ahead of time how we wanted the beds arranged (twin beds in the rooms can be kept separate or made up as queens), answered our questions helpfully and quickly, and went out of her way to provide information on the house and surrounding area that would make our planning and stay easy and enjoyable. House rules were clear and reasonable, and it was easy to clean up after ourselves.

We were fortunate to have found this wonderful home on VRBO and are thankful we were able to stay here. We treasured every moment, and have fond memories of a very special weekend.

Owner's Response: Thank you! Guests left our home in terrific condition even after having a large graduation celebration. I was delighted when we returned to our home and found it as good as we left it. Thank you again for being great guests. You are always welcome to return.

Oregon's Pinot Noir experience

  • 5 of 5

Our group (ages 52-84) were out to experence the Oregon Pinot area and what an outstanding place to be! This lovely home suited our needs quite well - from the space for all to the beautiful countryside! Many evenings were enjoyed out on the patio to review our wineries finds of the day. It was wonderful to get out in the country and enjoy the piece and quite!

spacious and beautiful!

  • 5 of 5

This house is a very large but still feels cozy. There were 7 adults and we had plenty of space for privacy as well as a variety of gathering places. The kitchen wins the 'best of VBRO' we've ever had! We like to cook and the kitchen was well equipped. It's a nice perk that the owners have their cooking spices available for guests. It really felt as if we were staying in a friend's very nice home. The only drawback was that there isn't cell service. A landline is available and there is wifi but we are all so used to cell phones that we missed having a connection. Other than that, it's absolutely perfect!

Fabulous Home!

  • 5 of 5

What a beautiful home! The views were gorgeous, weather cooperated so we sat on the huge decks and enjoyed the views while relaxing in the comfortable chairs outside. The owner was more than helpful and accommodated our large group with lots of suggestions and help with setting up the house to work for our particular needs. The master bedroom is so big that we could have just lived in that room alone! Kitchen was totally equipped, and there were even fresh herbs just outside the door in the garden. We really enjoyed working with the owner, who was ready with answers to all of our (many) questions, and available for our phone calls when we didn't understand something. The home is clean and beautiful and we highly recommend it! Also near many terrific wineries. We will return again soon!

Beware

  • 3 of 5

We rented this house for our Family Christmas. The house is large and fit our needs. Everything was well stocked but the house did have a musty smell. We found that we could not get any hot water to the kitchen sink so my son (commercial kitchen technician) investigated and found a burned wire supplying power to the small hot water heater under the sink. Since he arrived in his service truck he decided to fix the problem. During the stay my son hung two pictures in frames he brought from home of and actor that by daughter hates. We did not remember to take those with us and rehang her pictures. We received an e-mail from the Suzanne telling us that she did not appreciate us leaving those photos and taking her pictures and also accused us of stealing a step ladder and two cake pans all of which she found still at the house. In her e-mail she also informed us that my family was not welcome at her house again due to the missing items and failed to consider what the cost of the hot water heater saved her. I have rented many homes on VRBO, have always left the home in perfect condition and always received my full deposit back. I cant say I have ever been treated this way by any owner.

Owner's Response: Please note that entire security deposit was returned to guest on good faith before returning to our home. As for musty smell, guests came in after home had been empty for two weeks with huge rainstorms and cold, so the house smelled closed up. They acknowledged to me that the smell went away quickly once the house warmed up. Items rearranged in our home are required to be returned to their original places. They were not, so it was difficult to find missing items that were in some very odd places. After communication with guest, most (not all) items were located and apologies issued to the guest, but apparently that was not enough. As for faulty wiring, my guests all have 24/7 access to me (owner) and I have local people who will quickly come to fix anything that is not functioning. I do not know what else an owner can do. The guest did acknowledge to me that the house was beautifully furnished and well equipped for their large group. So be it. An unpleasant experience AFTER they left for both parties, however it appears that they had a very nice Christmas (I really loved the pine needles from their Christmas tree that were all over the house and in a pile outside the front door).
