We enjoyed our stay at the Tahoe King

  • 4 of 5

We had a nice stay at the Tahoe King. Close to our favorite beaches, walking distance to the shops and restaurants in Kings Beach. Nice and roomy for two families of four. My only complaint is the inside of the house needs better lighting in every room.

Comfortable family and dog friendly environment

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Tahoe King cabin at Kings Beach. The cabin itself is a bit quirky yet charming and we were completely comfortable there immediately. There was plenty of room for us and it was especially inviting for the dogs. Our favorite spot was the large back deck and the spacious fenced back yard. Since our lives seem to revolve around our pets, we were especially pleased with the fenced in yard and the dogs enjoyed very much spending time there.

The short walk to the beach was easy and in spite of the mountain location, there were sidewalks all the way from

the neighborhood to the beach, which made it a nicer stroll with or without the dogs. Although we did not go out to eat while we were there, there were plenty of places to dine out within walking distance of the cabin. We preferred dining out on the aforementioned cabin deck. We actually did have a bear in the back yard the first night, our dog startled him and chased him over the fence! That gave us all a shot of adrenaline at 3am, but we never really felt worried or in any kind of danger at any time.

I would recommend this cabin to families with pets and it would be a great place for skiers in the winter. Plenty of beds and a quick drive to Northstar. Thanks for the use of your cabin it gave us all the relaxing break were very much in need of.

A Wonderful Tahoe Thanksgiving!

  • 5 of 5

We truly enjoyed spending Thanksgiving weekend at Tahoe King. Plenty of room for the family, and the dogs and everything we needed to create a great Thanksgiving dinner. The large, fenced in back yard and hot tub were a real bonus. We will be back.

This cabin was perfect for our family vacation!!! It was walking distance to town/beach. The cabin came fully stocked with all the necessities. The owner Marty was great to work with helping to make our vacation stress free. We would absolutely stay here again!!

I rented this cabin for my dad and aunt to stay at and it was so dirty. I was supposed to get ready there on my wedding day but we had to change locations because the floors would have gotten my dress dirty. Other than that it was a decent cabin nothing fancy.

nice location....would have been better if there was not construction going on from 7:15 AM to after

  • 1 of 5

We were sorely disappointed to wake up at 7:15 AM every morning to the sound of jackhammers and tractors backing up. This went on allllll day and almost until 7 PM every day we were there. The hot tub was nicely situated under a tree that upon entering we were greeted by little white worms that seemed to be dropping from the tree above and landing all over the top of the water so the hot tub was a no go for the whole week. We could not park our vehicle in the driveway due to the major construction which by the way the whole street was blocked off so we had to park our car around the corner and up the street. And would you believe that someone damaged my vehicle somehow? I am so frustrated at this point that I talk to the head of the construction crew about the work going on and he laughed when I asked if the owner could have possibly not known about the work being done. He said that all the owners were well informed months before the work was to begin which had already been going on now for 6 weeks. They were digging ditches literally in front of the cabin we were staying at. SO much for a quiet week in Tahoe. I will never use this site to book a place agan

Owner's Response: The Kings Beach community has been investing millions of dollars into community infrastructure upgrades including new round-abouts, sidewalks, a new beach boardwalk, and recently a new water main project to bring cleaner water and better water pressure to those who live in and visit the community. Sorry to hear she was inconvenienced the couple days they were in front of the cabin. The friendly work crew were more than happy to accommodate neighbors in navigating the construction zones. The only communication I received from the guest during her stay was a Thank you for allowing her access to the shed so she could borrow floaties for her children and giving tips on special beach locations along the Nevada side of the lake. I believe most reasonable people would prefer to discuss concerns of a stay directly than to having to respond to a formal complaint made to VRBO after the stay without any prior communication. We will continue to provide a comfortable, dog-friendly, and well-located cabin to all of our new and returning guests.
