PLEASE BE SURE TO READ THE FAQ'S BELOW. MOST OF YOUR QUESTIONS WILL BE ANSWERED BY READING THESE. CALENDARS ARE IN LIVE TIME. IF THE CALENDAR SHOWS AVAILABILITY, IT IS AVAILABLE. We have a beautiful 1 bedroom, 1 bath condo. The condo can sleep a maximum of 6 guests (4 adults and 2 children max). Besides having the one private bedroom, there is also a queen sleeper sofa in the den and a set of bunk beds in the hall. (Bunkbeds are not built for adults.)
TV's and DVD players are located in the den and private bedroom. You will be able to view the beach, ocean and pool directly from your private balcony located on the3rd floor. I hope you will enjoy your stay here as much as we do. A coffee pot and a mini Keurig coffee machine are available for your use as well as many other kitchen supplies. One complimentary single pot coffee will be provided along with one roll each of paper towels and toilet tissue. (No k-cups will be provided. If you are a Keurig fan be sure to bring a box from home of your favorite brand.)
All inquiries will be answered within 24 hours. Don't forget that the WEEKLY and MONTHLY rates already INCLUDE lodging tax, one parking pass and cleaning. We require $250.00 up front to hold your date for you. The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to your arrival. Please contact us with any questions that we have not answered in the FAQ. • DO YOU REQUIRE A DEPOSIT?
No, we do not require a deposit. We have each guest agree to the online rental agreement when payment is made. The rental agreement is an agreement between the condo owner and guest that simply states that if the rental guest or one of his guest damages the condo that they will pay all damages in full. We do require $250.00 of your rent upfront to confirm your date. This is not a deposit and will not be returned. This amount is subtracted from your total rent due. Your remaining balance due must be paid in full 30 days prior to your arrival. Of course you always have the option of paying in full at the time of booking your reservation. Just let me know what you prefer.
• WHAT IS THE “BEST” PRICE YOU CAN OFFER ME? Our 'BEST' prices are clearly stated on the website. Our rates are NOT negotiable. We feel they are extremely competitive. Occasionally during slow seasons we will run specials. These special rates will be clearly marked on the Hamner's Condos facebook page.
•DO YOU HAVE A MINIMUM NUMBER OF NIGHTS?
Yes. We will only rent for 3 or more nights. NO EXCEPTIONS.
• I AM INTERESTED IN RENTING YOUR CONDO. WHAT SHOULD I DO?
For fastest, guaranteed rental, click the BOOK IT button. You can book directly online. Fill in your information along with payment. I will receive an email and confirm your booking.
Still shopping around? Feel free to email me to request a quote, inquire about rates, etc. (It is all included in the FAQ’s but some people still like to ask.) The rental agreement and request for payment will all be handled through email and online. Payments by EFT check, Visa, MasterCard or Discover will be accepted online. Once payment is received your reservation dates will show as blocked on the calendar.
•WHAT IS THE MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT?
The minimum age requirement is 23. We had to find out the hard way that no matter how sweet, great and wonderful the younger guests are when booking, they lose their cherub like demeanor very quick when mixed with salt, sun and sand.
•WHAT TIME IS CHECK IN AND CHECK OUT?
Check in is at 3:00 PM. Check out is at 10:00 AM.
• DOES YOUR COMPLEX HAVE A SWIMMING POOL?
Yes, a swimming pool is located between Westwind Condo and the beach.
• HOW WILL I RECEIVE KEYS TO YOUR CONDO?
There is a lockbox on the door of the condo. After full payment has been made you will be emailed a letter that has the code to the lockbox along with complete instructions.
• WHAT IF I NEED TO BRING TWO CARS?
As of June 2012, Gulf Shores Rentals (COA for Westwind) set a limit to the number of cars a guest can park in Westwind’s parking lot. One pass for a 1 bedroom unit, 2 passes maximum for a 2 bedroom unit and 3 maximum for a 3 bedroom unit. All cars without a Westwind parking pass could possibly be towed.
• IS THERE A BEACH SERVICE THAT I CAN RENT AN UMBRELLA AND CHAIRS FROM?
Yes, there are several chairs and umbrellas for rent from a private company on the beach. You will need to check with them for pricing.
•CAN I BRING MY PET?
NO, our condo owners association will not allow guests to bring their pets. Besides, there is a $500 fine if you are caught with a dog on the beach. I cannot change this rule or make exceptions. Please do not ask.
•IS THERE AN INDOOR POOL?
No the pool is outdoors.
•WHAT FLOOR IS THIS UNIT ON?
This unit is on the 3rd floor.

Hello. Randy and I both love the beach and love to travel. We both had grown up traveling to the beach for family vacations. In the past few years, we found that coming down to Gulf Shores once or twice a year just wasn't enough. In April 2009, we were contacted about purchasing a second condo in Westwind. My husband told me on a Wednesday night that a unit had became available to purchase. Thursday morning we let the realtor know we would love to purchase this unit. By Friday we were proud owners of 2 beautiful gulf front condos. We welcome each of our new guests/friends to enjoy our love for the beach here at Westwind in beautiful Gulf Shores, Alabama. Can't wait to hear from you!

This is a wonderful 3rd floor condo right on the beach of Gulf Shores. Clean and very well taken care of, tastefully decorated. Beautiful balcony view of the ocean, sunrise and sunset. This was our 3rd time to stay here and have recommended it to our family and friends. We found some great places to eat like Hazels and Duck's Diner, Bills at the Beach (order the grilled shrimp). We visited the USS Alabama in Mobile and found several good thrift stores close by and great outlets. Randy and Kristy are so hospitable and easy to work with.
We had stayed in the this condo unit before and simply loved it so we came back. The listing is completely accruate. The unit was clean and well maintained. It is a tastefully decorated 3rd floor unit right on the beach of Gulf Shores. The balcony overlooks the beach and is perfect for moon gazing or just relaxing to the sounds of the crashing waves. It's in a quiet area of town with access to shopping and great restaurants. We ate at the Fish River Grill and The Diner, both were exceptional. The kitchen is fully furnished with coffee maker, pots and pans, dishes and silverware. There is a small market across the street to buy any food or essential items you might need. It has a washer/dryer combo for small loads of laundry so you don't have to pack as much. There are beach chairs, umbrella and beach toys to borrow so no need to pack those items. It is truly a home away from home. We have told several of our close friends about this place and encouraged them to stay here. Thank you Randy and Kristy for sharing your home with us. 3. Had all of the basics that you'd need
4. Owners were timely with correspondence and gave clear instructions
1. Most of the towel bars and a mirror in bathroom need to be more securely fastened to wall.
2. Dryer vent filter needs replaced. Once cleaned out is difficult to put back in because tabs are missing and were replaced with pieces of wire.
3. General paint and cleaning
4. Area around shower needs repainted and repaired. Drywall is falling apart.
5. Bathroom sink drain is very slow. Needs cleaned out.
6. A nice balcony but has just 2 chairs and a tiny wicker table.
Overall, the condo was a good place to stay for the week we were in Gulf Shores. Taking care of the above items and freshening the place up would easily get it to 4 stars. To get it to a 5 star rating I'd suggest just a few other additional items in addition to the ones already mentioned:
1. HD cable box. Only watched TV a couple of hours at night, but it's a pain finding channels without a menu driven cable box.
2. Small stereo that can accept Bluetooth
3. A nice patio table and 4 chairs to be able to eat outside.
We had a great stay but we only had 2 channels in the living room and 0 channels in the bedroom. Our 2nd night there we were woken up to people knocking on our door at 2am and arguing people from the balcony next door to the pool area we had to call the police they came and defused the situation quickly but we were rattled the rest of the night....overall was good stay loved the location.
Condo had all comforts of home. Grandkids loved the bunk beds and actually fought over who got top bunk first. View of beach was beautiful
We had a great time in your condo. It had a great location on the beach where beach chairs and umbrellas were available for rent. It was easy to find, and the condo had everything we needed. Having a washer was a great plus. We enjoyed our time there and appreciate you letting us enjoy your home.
The only thing we had trouble with was the tv in the bedroom wouldn't come on. We may have just needed more instructions. LOL! We couldn't find any contact information in the condo to contact someone for help in that matter. When we tried to email you, the contact information had already been deleted.
