Oceanfront. Rates. Renovations.......Important As You Consider Where to Vacation
OCEANFRONT. This is why you come to the beach. We want to give you that from the balcony, the living room, the dining room, the kitchen and the master bedroom. Take a good look at our pictures and video. You know what they say......'a picture is worth a thousand words'.
RATES. Our rates are all-inclusive. Nothing is going to be added on to them. Even more important.....at the risk of sounding like a used car salesman.....we want your business. So please send us the VRBO/HomeAway listing number of someone who might have a lower price. I'll try to beat that price by at least fifty dollars.
RENOVATIONS. This is what we have just recently done: all new porch furniture (4 chairs and glass top table, painted entire apartment, new wall-to-wall carpet in 2nd bedroom, all other carpets cleaned, master bath gutted and replaced with shower (non-slip pebbles) plus non-slip slate floor, 2 safety grab bars, sliding glass doors, "high boy" toilet, the 2nd bath redo, new hot water heater, new HVAC system, deep cleaned on a regular basis, new pots/pans, more glasses/plates and last but not least new screen doors for the balcony Hope we haven't made it so nice that you won't want to go out and walk on the beach!

You know what they say about ‘assume’, and I am old enough to have learned my lesson many times over. But here I go again. The calendar is not always up to date. So please check with me for availability. The rental rate is not subject to change unless in your research you find a better price. I, of-course, will appreciate hearing about whether you are a member of AARP, AAA, MADD etc, but it won’t affect your rental rate.
NOTEWORTHY – Non-smoking. The villa is larger than most two bedrooms at 1500 square feet. Bed arrangement includes a king bed in the master suite, two twin beds in the second bedroom, and a sleeper sofa in the living room…..accommodating in all six guests. The granite counters, hard wood and tile floors add a touch of elegance. You will love the massive flat screen TV. Linens and towels are provided, washer and dryer, air conditioning, starter supply of paper products and detergents, fully equipped kitchen with dinnerware, flatware, pots and pans, plus local telephone service. Wild Dunes' amenities include golf, dining, and bike trails. The rental includes: free parking for three cars, elevator access, free access to community swimming pool, and 24-hour security in a gated community.
Year Round We only rent by the week. Our rates are ALL INCLUSIVE. Peak Summer week: $2595, First 2 weeks of June: $2095, Last 2 weeks of August: $1795, May week: $1795, April week: $1695, March week: $1495, September week: $1495, October week: $1295, Weeks November thru February $995. 3 months January thru March $5995. Holiday Surcharge $200 Thanksgiving,Christmas or New Years by the week.

About Peter Cole
My name is Peter Cole. I am the owner’s manager. I went to the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, VA. Presently live in Belmont, just outside of Charlotte, NC. I wear many hats: an oceanfront, resort, rental condo owner; property manager; rental agent; dog tender (That is Mazie in the picture. Spends most of her day on the rug by me at my desk.) and my favorite; loving husband to the beautiful woman in the picture with me. As a Medicare card carrying senior, I look back over a full life. My chosen life ‘occupation’ (my Mother could never bring herself to call it a 'job') was to take teens on a cross country camping trip; 3000 teens in all, spanning 33 years. My nephew, Doug Gill, slipped into my shoes as I stepped into my retirement. Now he has passed it on to Sassy Smyth. Curious? Do a google search, 'tctw'. My friends and relatives worried about my having too much time on my hands in retirement so they gave me their resort properties to manage. My reputation as a good manager/agent grew. Now 12 properties fill my stable. It was 1967 when I took ownership of my first rental property. In the years since, I have bought and sold 11. I come to you with a lot of experience. Fabulous week at 204 Summer House
Our family of four adults had a wonderful week. Dealing with the agent was easy--his replies were prompt, the pictures and video were informative. Late pickup was easy to arrange. Even in the very hot week we visited, the ocean breezes and the pool allowed an escape from the 90 degree heat.
Pleasant surprises: The grocery store is less than 5 miles away and selection is good.
We enjoyed several local restaurants.
The island has Uber service.
The kitchen had lots of pots, pans, glassware and dishes.
There are noodles and beach chairs.
The pool and beach are VERY close.
This unit is on our "do again" list.
Enjoyable beach stay
Property was as pictured, clean and well maintained. We enjoyed our stay very much. From the master bedroom you can hear the sound of the ocean to lull you to sleep, and see the sunrise to wake you up.
(One small problem: there is a broken screen door which needs to be repaired; we were told owner is aware and will take care of it.)
We enjoyed our time at this condo very much. The view is even better in person. We would rent again! Wish we were back now actually!
This condo was the perfect size for our family of 5. We were right off the beach, just as we wanted. The condo was very clean when we arrived, although the bathrooms seem a bit dated, therefore don't feel quite as clean. The space worked wonderfully, and the washer and dryer were a huge plus! It really felt like home and offered everything we needed for our week stay - nice, bright and sunny! My only real issue was the front door situation. There is no deadbolt and the door nob only feels locked from the outside, meaning it can always be opened easily from the inside. With 3 small children, this was a major concern. We decided to park our double stroller with locked wheels in front of the door to keep the kids from getting out. We did have a couple of maintenance issues (light in kitchen went out, no broom) which were addressed in a timely manner. The people at Resort Quest were VERY friendly, and very easy to work with. We also chose to rent baby gear (stroller, pack n' play and high chair) from a company called Baby's Away. That was also a HUGE added bonus and worked out perfectly. I highly recommend renting from them, they deliver the items to the condo so they are there when you arrive, and they pick them up after you depart. Super easy! Another thing I loved about the condo was the fact that it was nice and quiet. The floors didn't creak so I wasn't worried we were bothering anyone below us, and we never heard any of our neighbors above us or through the walls. This really was such a great stay for our family! A great time
My wife and I had a great time during our stay. The condo was clean and well-equipped within sight and sound of the ocean, with the convenience of a pool directly below us. The place was ideal for relaxing and enjoying the beach as well as quick access to Charleston's historic downtown.
204 Summer House was a well equipped, comfortable unit with a great location near the beach. We enjoyed the great biking Wild Dunes has to offer and rented bikes for the week. The unit is an older unit, but is well-maintained and well-appointed.
The shower is a tub shower which may be difficult for some.
Golf: Two great ones right at your finger tips, one across the street. In closing I hope you will take a moment and read the following comments of past renters.
