My husband is an artist (painter) and I manage his art business. We have lived and worked here for over 30 years. We created this space, it was a factory before we moved in. It is a very special loft. It always filled with light and just has a lovely feeling in it. All our guests have always been very pleased and say that the photos don't do justice to it. I agree. I know you will agree to. Come and see for yourselves!!

The photos show how beautiful this apartment is, but it is also very comfortable. Fabulous place to use as a home base, very convenient and a pleasure to return to after a busy day. Unfortunately building works in the street caused a problem with utilities during our stay, but the hosts were very accommodating about this even though it was not their fault at all. Loved the apartment, love to come back sometime!
I've been fortunate enough to stay at Shani and Albert's on two occasions, most recently in September 2016. It is a truly fabulous apartment - a fascinating mix of industrial fittings (with pipes running the length of the high walls and across the ceiling) and gorgeous antique furnishings. The walls are dotted with Albert's impressionist and post-impressionist paintings and there are a myriad of beautiful objects to stare at and enjoy. Lots of light streams through the tall windows and you can catch both the Chrysler and the Empire State buildings from the spacious living area. The bathrooms are wonderfully maintained and well stocked with soft towels, soaps and creams.
Noting the comment re the lack of air conditioning, while I haven't stayed in the middle of summer and I am an Australian, there are multiple ceiling fans which I'm confident would cool all aspects of the apartment.
Finally, there are fantastic supermarkets and delis nearby and it is a short walk to the heart of NYC. Shani and Albert are a complete delight and I hope I have the good fortune to stay in their home again.
The owners were very welcoming and eager to be sure we had all the info we needed for a comfy stay. The location is fantastic with everything a few blocks away or much closer. We were comfortable in weather in the low 80s with the fans even with no AC. All gigantic pre war windows had screens with a good cross breeze. The loft itself is homey, artful, spotlessly clean and felt safe. The Internet was fine if we were seated with a clear path to the router. We had no trouble with it. Cable large screenTV (we spent very little time with it but it was nice to have) in both bedrooms, washer/dryer and nice appliances.
My husband and I had the pleasure of staying two weeks over Christmas in this fabulous apartment. Photos don't do it justice. Fabulous location and Shani's local tips proved invaluable. Shani and Albert are absolutely delightful and a slight hiccup we had with heating was dealt with immediately without any fuss. Thank you Shani and Albert for allowing us to stay and we hope to return some day.
A real New York loft !!! Absolutely huge, spacious and homely. Great location within walking distance to Broadway, Time Square, Soho and almost everywhere else. A joy to live in and sad to leave.
What can I say but fantastic. The apartment is everything you could dream of for a New York apartment and much, much more. Wonderful space, wonderful amenities, view to die for, excellent position and most importantly wonderful owners. Shani and Albert, the owners, are an absolute delight. Why would you want to stay anywhere else. If I was able to give it 10 stars I would.
A really spacious apartment with the Empire State Building facing you. The whole 12th floor occupies it which makes it very secured. The
apartment is surrounded by antiques but otherwise elegant and polished. It is full and intact with anything a guest would need. The owner was very cordial and easy to deal with too. Recommending this to anyone visiting NYC!
