Property is beautiful.
Our preschool age children thought they were in heaven playing in the river all day. Very relaxing time for all.
Nice quiet place right by the river.
Quiet place in a quiet neighborhood. About 30 minutes from trinity alps trails. Nice kitchen to cook in.
Perfect cabin on the Trinity!
This place was perfect for our annual fishing trip to the Trinity. The house was stocked with everything we needed, and even had some misc supplies we didn’t expect (spices, oils, coffee filters). Both bedrooms were comfortable and the common and eating area was very well setup and laid out. One bonus we didn’t realize is how quiet this location would be. Previously we stayed closer to the highway and could hear traffic noise all day long. All we heard here was the pleasant sound of the river all day and night.
Henrik, the owner, was very communicative during the booking process and gave us a great description of what to expect with regards to the fishing. We will definitely be booking here for our annual January trip. Thanks Henrik!
A Great place to relax and recharge
Wife and I really enjoyed our 6 days st this place. It was a very quiet and relaxing cabin right on theTrinity River. Caught a few trout, saw deer everywhere, even a couple of beaver..
If you want luxury this is not the place, but if you want a cozy, comfortable cabin in a quiet rural area, you won't go wrong here.
Weaverville is only about 25 mins away where they have a grocery store, fishing and outdoor goods supply store, small shops and restaurants.
You can also rent boats in the Trinity Lake nearby, the bass, crappie, and trout fishing is good there 👍 All in all we really enjoyed our time there.
Fish - Eat - Nap - Repeat
This is a rustic cabin in a quiet neighborhood with one of the best fishing spots on the Trinity in walking/floating distance (Bucktail Hole). This was our second time staying at the cabin, and we escaped the 100 degree heat in the middle of the day by napping on the couch. Our dog chased lizards around the dog run and we saw rainbows from the deck after an afternoon storm blew through.
It's a rural area on a municipal water supply, which means you should look at the sign as you turn onto the cabin road to see if you need to boil or filter the tap water (or just bring your own) but that's pretty standard for California river towns. It's a great getaway to nature spot, with a cozy cabin to escape from nature when it's time for coffee and a hot shower.
Fish Tale Retreat
We have stayed at this cabin every summer for four years now. We always return for a week with the grandkids because of the beautiful location and accommodations. We appreciate the owner's attention to maintaining the property as well. It's a great getaway from the hustle bustle of the city to the country, great outdoors, beautiful weather, and starlit skies with lots to do and see nearby. Cindy & Gordy
