Sit out on your covered lanai and enjoy the breeze and view while you barbecue some fresh shrimp from the shrimp farm just down the road.
Enjoy the open space of the expansive lawn and meadow next to the property. Hukilau Beach Park is just across the street with it's white sandy shore that extends for more than a mile.
This is the perfect beach for an early morning jog or swim, body boarding, kite surfing, or just basking in the sun. There are several small islands just off shore, Goat Island being the largest.
You can walk across the reef to the island for a nice 1/2 day of exploration and fun (bring water shoes as the reef is rough). This unit was remodeled in 2008 with a complete new bathroom.
It features new tub and custom tile surround and cherry wood vanity with granite counter top. There is new natural stone flooring throughout the apartment and fresh paint.
Laie is a lovely community with the Polynesian Cultural Center just a 3 minute drive from the house, and the Brigham Young University close by.
Laie shopping center is in the heart of town with Food Land Grocery, Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, Sub Way and a few local restaurants, post office, dollar store, and Ice Cream parlor.
Come experience real Aloha in Laie, Hawaii! Available June 8, 2009.

Marci and her family moved from California to Hawaii in 2002, following 2 of their sons who were attending Brigham Young University in Laie.
Marci Paddock purchased this condo in 2002
We purchased this property after seeing it once on our trip to Laie for our oldest sons wedding. It was in ill repair, but had good bones and lots of land! We have enjoyed going from room to room renovating the building and each unit, making it a property that we love and plan to pass down to our children and grandchildren. In 2000 we built a second building on the property where many guests have enjoyed coming for their vacations.
We love the large meadow that connects to the property. It make our property feel so open and spacious. We can walk over to the meadow and play ball or run around with the kids and not worry about bothering the neighbors. It is so easy to walk across the street and launch our kayaks, or go for our morning walk. The beach goes for a couple of miles, sometimes without ever seeing anyone else. Often we see sea turtles feeding along the reef areas when we walk in the early morning. Surfers anxious to get in a little time on the waves before work paddle out to the far end of Goat island just after sunrise. I can't believe I live in such a beautiful place!
Screen door has been replaced. Perfect location and lovely unit. Everything we needed for a relaxing, romantic vacation. I would definatly stay here again.
Our entire experience with this rental was great. Marci responded and confirmed our request quickly. She also provided check in information and answered questions pertaining to our rental in an extremely timely manner. The property is as described and picture. Unit is very clean and stocked with essentials. We stayed here during BYU-Hawai'i's winter break so the student units were not full. There was very little noise at night. I loved walking on the paved bike path and the close proximity of the unit to the LDS Temple, Hukilau Cafe and other stores and eateries. Mahalo!
The location is convenient, a nice little patio with grassy meadow view, beautiful beach across the road, close to all the attractive and convenient features of Laie and the whole North Shore, clean with little touches of thoughtful decor, very good bed, good WiFi, kitchen and bath. The main negatives are a too noisy portable air conditioner in the bedroom with a leaky heat exhaust , very limited TV coverage (which we didn't watch much anyway). Quick response to a problem with the key when we first arrived.
A lovely place to stay, close to beach, shopping Center , bank and food outlets. And of course the PCC.
Every need catered for, the unit was fresh and clean.
A lovely place to stay and we will surely stay again on our return.
The only down side of the unit was the very noisy aircon unit in the bedroom, making it impossible to sleep with it on. Fortunately there were ceiling fans as well.
Have already recommended to friends and family
Because we love Laie, we couldn't fault anything in the surrounding community. The people are so friendly making you feel like one of them. One of our favourite places to eat was Seven brothers and of course Angels.
I may be biased, but the night show at PCC is a must, my son in law often plays the father in the show lol
My family & I attended a family reunion @ the Hukilau Beach and Marci's condo was absolutely perfect! There was a person who parked in my assigned parking spot but that was quickly resolved once Marci was informed. Having a washer & dryer directly in front of us was so convenient! We never had to go far for anything we needed as most were provided. I'd recommend this condo to anyone wanting a staycation or just some time away from the business of Waikiki. My family & I will definitely return in the future. Thank you again Marci for such a pleasant stay!!
Although this condo appears very nice and was fully stocked with towels/paper products, it did not meet our expectations. Please note that this condo was the 2nd we stayed in as we just relocated to Oahu and the other was not available during the week we stayed here. Cooking was extremely difficult due to the surge protector tripping every 5 minutes if more than 1 thing was plugged in. Cooking a simple meal of tacos took a little over an hour because the surge protector kept tripping & cutting off the electricity. On the 2nd day of our stay we started to notice a slight odor, but weren't able to identify the source. We bought some air freshener, which helped for a day. The odor became more pungent and began to smell like a dead rodent. We also noticed that the smoke detector was open with no battery. We contacted Marci, who did come over the next day while we were out to check things out. I told Marci where I thought the odor was coming from so she could investigate. The smoke detector battery was replaced, but it went off for no reason in the middle of the night (either bad detector or wiring). She informed us that she thought the horrid odor was "wet towels". Obviously, the odor was not checked in the area I mentioned (kitchen cabinet or behind fridge). We had 2 slightly damp towels hanging to dry in the bathroom and all other laundry had just been washed. When we arrived at the condo that evening, the odor almost knocked us out in the living/kitchen area where my son had to sleep. The smell was clearly something that had died in the wall or a nasty back up in the pipes. When we were home, we left all the windows open to air out, which helped some. However, there was a hole in the screen so flies got in all night long (at least there was a fly swatter). The furniture in the living area was also very uncomfortable. Also, the neighbors are students at BYU & were very noisy/up playing drinking games. This wasn't exactly a peaceful retreat. Hopefully, the odor has been taken care of as I would hate any other guests to suffer through the stench like we did. We were very happy to return to our other rental for the rest of the month.
Such a fun place for a getaway! Close to great features and outings, and a gorgeous beach. The house can get a little warm during the day, but is perfect for resting up and heading out on your next adventure.
Kualoa Ranch has 4 wheeling, paint ball guns, movie set viewing, horse back riding, restaurant, etc.
