The Lake House is centrally located in scenic North Idaho on beautiful Lake Coeur d'Alene, nestled in pristine Squaw Bay.
Only a 25-minute drive or 10 minute boat ride from downtown Coeur d'Alene, a stay here opens up both in-town and out-of-town possibilities, with plenty of outdoor and city activities to keep any person busy for weeks!
A large graveled area for parking is situated at the lake house entry, coming off of a secluded private road, and a large private dock provides plenty of parking for multiple boats and other recreational water vehicles.
The lake house is ideally situated, providing easy access to in-town events like Ironman Coeur d'Alene, the Car d'Alene car show, holiday celebrations, Art on the Green, and much much more.
There's no need to leave the lake house any time soon, however, with gorgeous views of the lake and surrounding mountains, as well as views of downtown Coeur d'Alene, plus many activities available on the property itself.
Vacationers can relax in the comfortable great room, in the outdoor dining area next to a warm fire in the gas-lit fire pit, down on the large private dock, or even in the luxurious master soaking tub, with lake and mountain views.

Lake Coeur d'Alene is a beautiful vacation spot. Our cabin at Squaw Bay is situated in a prime location on this beautiful North Idaho lake, not too far from town (a 25 minute drive or 10 minute boat ride), but far enough to capture the natural beauty of the area while still offering easy access to all the fun activities of Coeur d'Alene. North Idaho holds allure for both outdoor enthusiasts and city-dwellers alike, with tons of opportunity to please both.
Across the lake, lively downtown Coeur d'Alene can be seen, with prime viewing of holiday fireworks. Plentiful opportunities exist for both the outdoor enthusiast and the home-dweller, with miles of back-country roads for bike rides and hikes as well as a great interior atmosphere, perfect for relaxing and rejuvenating. The master suite has vaulted ceilings, a television and dvd player, and a three-sided gas fireplace separating it from the master bath, great for a romantic evening. A roomy great room on the main floor, equipped with a large television and DVD collection, is a great space for entertaining and relaxing alike (note TV does not have reception-for dvd viewing only). The adjoined dining room opens onto a spacious deck that looks out on the home's, dock, Lake Coeur d'Alene and the distant city, and is complete with dining table and gas-burning fire pit for evening bonfires. The private dock is perfect for sunbathing or tying up a rented boat, jet skis, or both! All in all, this is a property that can appeal to anyone, with plenty to see, do, and experience while taking in the natural beauty of this wonderful area.
We very much enjoyed our stay here! Pros of the property - clean, relatively well stocked, appreciated the washer dryer, nice patio with bbq and fire pit, beautiful views, lots of wild life. Cons - very little privacy between bedrooms as the walls do not go all the way to the ceiling, no shower in the master bathroom, no window treatments on the patio doors in master bedroom and therefore was very bright in the morning, lots of stairs so not great with someone who has knee problems or small children, kitchen could be better stocked with cooking pans, pull out sofa is VERY uncomfortable, a little difficult to find and dirt road is very narrow in places and only room for 1 vehicle. Overall, this place is great for families with older children. Was a good home away from home! We would definitely consider returning.
We enjoyed the house and all the lake activities very much. Beach towels were provided. Coffee filters included. There's a little blow up raft and paddle on the beach area for use. Most importantly, we rented a boat for the week and used the boat lift. We weren't sure if it was functional, but a bad storm required that we find out. And it was in working order once you flop the one board upright. That was key but missing info in the description. We brought our own DVD's. Needed a cooler, needed a cookie sheet, needed to go coffee mugs. We ran out of paper towel early on. Other than that we had plenty of ice from the ice maker, grateful for the washer and dryer. We wished for a little privacy as the 2 bedrooms upstairs shared the ceiling with just walls to separate. Not no problem for traveling couple by themselves.
Convenient drive comparing to all other properties South on Highway from here.
Boat delivered to us from Harrison water adventures. Paddle boards too. Made it nice not to have to drive to get rentals.
Wonderfully relaxing vacation! Nice accommodations. Thanks to owner and manager for great time.
This rental was fabulous. Everything was fabulous. What kept me from rating this as excellent, was the fact that the stove only had 2 small burners working. If the stove is upgraded to match the other appliances, this place is well worth the money. everything was clean and the amenities were wonderful. This place is a little hard to find, but was very secluded for a nice and quiet vacation. I would recommend the Wolf Lodge for a steak dinner!!! One of the best steaks, I have had.
We stayed at the Squaw bay house this summer and were very impressed. The house was everything that we expected and more. This property has a large, well maintained dock that the kids had a blast jumping, diving and pushing each other off of. The kids had just as much fun on the dock as they did boating. View to die for from both decks, very well stocked. Peggy was great at answering all of our questions. The only draw back was the drive in but you get used to the road fairly quickly. Would highly recommend this rental and hope to go back again next summer.
