Peaceful retreat after your busy day at the slopes. Warm and cozy with a real wood-burning fireplace that gives this place a cabin feel. Beds: 2 king beds, 1 queen, and 3 single beds in the loft. You will not be disappointed choosing this condo! JUST INSTALLED in the Living room: A BIG 46" SCREEN High Definition TV!

This is a large unit with three bedrooms plus an open loft, and two bathrooms. It has breath-taking views of the Sherwin Mountains and overlooks directly into Mammoth Creek Park. Situated on the southeast edge of town enjoy unobstructed views from the private external balcony off the living room. Check our excellent Guest Comment feedback below the photos.

We recently painted the entire interior of this condo and added new lighting fixtures. We've added new dressers, nightstands, headboards, mirrored closet doors, lamps, TV stands, and fluffy down comforters for each of the bedrooms. The front-door is now equipped with a keyless entry pad, so getting your large group in-and-out is a breeze, without keys. Also, enjoy the warm and cozy 'real' firewood stove; it's not an electric faux fireplace; not here. Plenty of firewood on the deck.

Wireless Internet and an awesome Pioneer receiver, Pioneer DVD, and new speakers were also added last year! All hooked-up to a wall-mounted. JUST INSTALLED in the Living room: A 46" BIG SCREEN LED HD TV! Don't worry, High Definition TV programming is provided free, along with a recording DVR. We now have NETFLIX too! Kick-back and relax after skiing/fishing, by watching the big screen, or catch-up on work with the free Wireless Internet capability. Also, in the loft a new combination 26' LCD/DVD player has been added recently. Bring your USB IPOD cable to hook up your IPOD to the Pioneer receiver.

A Kathy Ireland plush carpet is in place throughout. There's an L-shaped sleeper couch + lifting coffee table that have been added to the living room as well. A TV has been added upstairs in the park-view bedroom. And to top it off, all 3 bedrooms have luxurious Simmons Beautyrest beds. Two of the bedrooms have California King-size beds. The park-view 3rd bedroom has a Queen-size bed, and the loft has 3 single beds. This unit sleeps up to 9 people comfortably.

The kitchen was completely remodeled with golden maple cabinets and new flooring. Complete with stainless steel appliances including a black glass cooktop range & double-oven, a dishwasher, a refrigerator, and a microwave. There are 19 stairs to reach this second-story unit and it has two levels inside. The lower level has the living room, kitchen, one bedroom, and a bathroom. Upstairs are two more bedrooms, the loft, and the second bathroom. There is an external closet for your skiing or fishing gear.

The condo is located in the La Vista Blanc complex in the southeast corner of Mammoth Lakes town. You are a short walk away through the park to several major shopping centers, cinemas, and restaurants (like the landmark restaurant named 'The Stove').

In winter, there is the world famous Mammoth Mountain Ski Resort as well as many other winter sport activities, like cross country skiing, snowmobiling, etc. For recreation in the summer, walk across the adjacent Mammoth Creek park to the Horseback Riding Ranch or to the golf driving range. Fish for trout in the regularly stocked Mammoth Creek only steps away from this unit. Or jump on the very scenic bicycle trail which begins right at the park below. You can also take a short car trip to the Devil's Postpile National Monument.

Steve and I have been married for 33 years and have always shared a passion for skiing. A graduate from UC Santa Barbara he was a member of the school ski team for 4 years; his father was a ski/snow reporter and took the family on their motor home wherever his work was that weekend. When I first met Steve I was a beginner skier from Spain, who had precariously skied in the Alps a couple of times and others in Sierra Nevada near Granada where I attended school, but he was intent to change my experience level and now I cannot conceive a winter without a few weekends in the snow.

We currently live in Del Mar, California and have a 30- year-old son who also enjoys the outdoors and comes with us to the mountains whenever he can.

Perfect for our large family!

We absolutely love this condo and its location! It is clean, cozy, and was the perfect space for all of the adults and children. Super easy to access. Close to Canyon (about 5-10 minutes depending on snow conditions). Close to grocery store. and a wonderful view from the balcony! It has an extra locker outside for gear which were used - think 9 boards and 2 sets of skis and 2 sleds!

We will definitely be reserving this condo again on our next trip out!!

DIRTY!!!

Unit was pretty run down. Initially I felt it was a 2.5 star facility and really feel the price for a unit like this is steep. The furniture was stained and looked dirty and has probably not been cleaned for some time. However what really made it a 1 star experience for me was getting a surprise email, from the owner, Monday afternoon informing me they would need to charge me an extra $50 for "additional cleaning fees." If you ask me, when you rent a facility that includes cleaning fees in the overall price, why on earth would I be asked for an extra $50? It sounds like a scam to me and needless to say will be the last time I will EVER stay there. We did not break anything and her email only states extra cleaning fee, which we paid upfront. Perhaps the extra $50 should be used to steam clean the filthy fabric sectional and stained "pleather" sofa chair. If not that, I at least hope the owner enjoys a nice dinner on me with the extra $50 she will be receiving..............!!! P.S., don't be fooled by the picture in the add, it appears as though you are nestled in tranquility but in reality Old Mammoth Rd is literally a few hundred feet away. Moral of the story, be careful who you choose to give your money to.

Owner's Response: We sincerely regret this guest was dissatisfied with our request for an additional $50 to offset the extra cleaning required. This is the first time in 17 years we’ve asked, and this guest never paid it. We are reasonable, trusting owners—we do not ask for a security deposit—and if this guest had made a case against the extra fee it would have been negotiated and avoided. But he didn't. We understand sometimes groups can get out of hand, have a great time, and go overboard, however, paying a cleaning fee doesn’t give one the right to trash and damage the property. It is unfair not only to the owners but also to other guests as cleaning fees may be raised and security deposits may be required which make renting more burdensome. We are disheartened by this review. We pride ourselves in the cleanliness of the unit with its beautiful views and quietness. We regret that any guest is ever dissatisfied, but we try our best and we hope that the other 75+ reviews we've accumulated over the last 15 years with HomeAway will reflect the experiences our guests continue to enjoy.

Great location and a wonderful view.

Great location for our family over 4 days. Great ammenities available on site (hot tub, pool, laundry). Well stocked kitchen for anyone wanting to cook in (pots, pans). Only recommendation to owner would be to update mattresses as they were very firm, and either install a ceiling fan or provide a larger box fan (we were in Mammoth over one of the hottest weekends in California, near 90 in Mammoth was still much cooler than the 105 at home in Sacramento). Will happily stay at this location again.....just might bring the ol' egg crate mattress topper next time.

Condo was perfect for us. Clean and easy parking. Plenty of room for all of us. Firewood and balcony off living room was great. WiFi and Netflix worked great. Nice views. Owner had quick responses to our questions. We will stay again.
