Absolutely charming Union Pier cottage with a great location (lake side of Red Arrow Highway). A short 5 minute walk to Townline Beach or McKinley St Beach, and one block to the shops of downtown Union Pier. Just renovated this year - beautiful master bath, new/refinished hardwood floors, new refrigerator and gas grill, plasma TV, Free WIFI, all new linens, etc. The cottage is part of Shoreline Resort Cottages and is tucked back in the corner for a quiet retreat. A true vintage feel!
Union Pier sits along Lake Michigan, just north of New Buffalo. You'll enjoy the amazing selection of restaurants and wineries in the area, while nearby towns like New Buffalo, Three Oaks and St. Joe offer many opportunities for gallery or antiquing adventures.
Relax and enjoy everything that Cottage 'C' has to offer!
Note: The cottage is available on a weekly basis (Friday to Friday) during the peak season (June through August).

Proximity to beaches. Resort community.
Beaches, fishing, wine tasting, biking, hiking.
A great stay at a beautiful cottage! Our young family had a wonderful time. Plenty of space for the 5 of us, and an easy walk to beautiful beaches and more. Thank you, Eric, for your hospitality!
We enjoyed our week in Cottage C. It's roomy and comfortable on the whole. The layout is a little odd--with two bedrooms and two bathrooms off the kitchen--but it worked surprisingly well to allow everyone privacy and quiet after the kids went to sleep. We loved the outdoor spaces--all the decks and the patio, and especially the little screened porch off the master bedroom. The community of cottages is adorable and quiet (despite one very sour neighbor who seemed offended by our very existence and lost her head when my husband mistakenly came into the parking lot through the exit--God forbid!). I do wish the kitchen were a little more accommodating: Even with all of our meals prepared or prepped in advance, I struggled a little. And I was disappointed by the cleanliness when we arrived: When I wiped off the kitchen table, the cloth came away brown (Yuck!), and the kitchen trash can lid looked like it had never been cleaned before. On the upside, though, it's less than 1/4 mile to the beach at McKinley Street (which is by far the better of the two nearby beaches--quiet and sandy), an easy and pleasant walk. You can literally come here, park your car, and never drive anywhere all week since little restaurants and shops are a half mile down Townline. It's a great spot, on the whole.
Comfortable, charming cottage with everything for a great beach vacation! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Cottage C and will almost certainly return for more relaxing family time.
The property descriptions were just right, the property itself was spotless and lovingly well-kept. The owner was super-helpful and responsive.
Short walk to the beach, short walk the other way for a convenience store -- just perfect location!
This was a great cottage in Union Pier. It was super clean and perfect for us (4 adults - 2 kids).
What I liked:
- Only a block or two from the beach
- An older house, but it was completely remodeled so it was modern and upscale
- There was a fantastic bakery around the corner (next to the red arrow restaurant) that we biked too everyday - great coffee!
- We liked the Cape Cod style decor and furnishings inside - it was really comfortable - the photos do a good job of showing you what you get
- It was all one level so no one had to do stairs
Things I didn't like:
- Nothing really - I would highly recommend this to anyone.
- I will say that the hot water heater broke one morning which had the potential to be a problem. I placed a call to the owner and he had a repairman out in 15 minutes (wow!) (granted it was a bit of luck as the repairman just happened to be blocks away when he got the call). The owner was incredibly responsive and he told me several times he was going to do whatever it took to make sure everything turned out alright.
All in all, I would recommend to anyone because it had all the things I look for - great location, great house, great owner who wanted my stay to go well.
This house was very nice. We had 3 adults and 4 children stay in this house, and had plenty of space. You had everything you might need in the kitchen, except a dishwasher. :) Which was a bummer since I don't know anyone who wants to do dishes manually on vacation, and there was little counter space to dry them. Entrance hall bath might need a little bit of shelving options to put things such as spare towels/toliet paper, but this house has been remodeled very nicely and was very accommodating. Mr. Sands was also very, very nice and accommodating and I would certainly rent from him again.
place is modern, well equipped and comfortable,It was ready and clean as a whistle when we got there. The three bathrooms a big plus. Short walk to beach and to stores ,great location.Loved it I would recommend.,It is accurately described on VRBO
