About Mimi Parr
Mimi and Scott Parr, owners.
Mimi Parr purchased this House in 2007
Why Mimi Parr chose West Brewster
For over 25 years, we came to Brewster with our kids to vacation here every summer. Now we live here full time and love it every day!
What makes this House unique
This house is a joy to be in, bright and airy, with its cathedral ceiling in the main family room, cross ventilation though windows and double doors, completely outfitted kitchen for whatever cooking you might like to do, memory foam mattresses on most of the beds, and beautiful, private back yard for bird-watching, sunning, dining, or yard games like horse shoes, bocce or croquet. It is fully equipped with everything we could think of to help make our guests comfortable. We continue to refine it, renovating and adding new stuff as guests make suggestions, like beach carts to tote your stuff to Paine's Creek Beach for the day - thanks, Mark! Keri suggested more air conditioners - got them! Also, if you have a family event planned for summer or fall and would like to have it on the Cape, let's talk!

A great house in a wonderful location
Beautiful indoors; well equipped; carefully maintained; terrific, spacious backyard. I can't think of anyone who would be dissatisfied.
Thanks so much for your positive review. We aim to please!
We also appreciate your confidence in us and your yearly return! See you next year!
Comfort of Home
Our Girl Scout Troop used this house for a girls weekend at the Cape in late September. When we arrived, the owners, Mimi and Scott were there to greet us at the door and show us around the house. As soon as we set foot in the main living room, the girls were in awe over how beautiful the house was and how cozy it felt. Mimi and Scott had left out many resources for us including maps, recommended site seeing locations, menus, etc. All of the rooms were equip with bedding, pillows, towels, toilet paper, air conditioners, and some travel essentials if needed, and the kitchen was fully stocked with all of the equipment we needed to feed 15 girls and 5 adults! We took the girls to a Cranberry Bog Tour only 10 minutes away from the house, walked the beach, and took advantage of the HUGE yard and grill! The only thing I was disappointed in, was the fact that we didn't have nearly enough time to get to experience all that the Cape has to offer! Mimi and Scott were such gracious hosts (and even put together a small event for our Girl Scout Troop!!!), and kindred spirits. We can't thank them enough for such an amazing weekend away!
We rented this house for a group of women on a retreat here on the cape. We needed a house that rented from Sunday to Sunday which was not easy to find. Traveling into the cape on Saturday can be difficult with most rents arriving mid afternoon,
The house was conveniently located on 6a and close to paints creek beach which is a wonderful place to watch the sunset or walk the flats during low tide.
The house was extremely clean and well appointed. The beds were extremely comfortable and the back yard expansive. I was a little concerned about staying in a place right on 6a but most of the traffic dies down by 6Pm and each room has their own air conditioner to drown out any outside noise.
I would not hesitate to rent this house again.
We were looking for semi-quiet vacation location (away from the south shore) and this property fit the bill perfectly. We stayed there at the height of the tourist season, but in no way felt any of the traffic/stress/inundation of people/etc. while staying here. Located near the beach...antiquing (if you are into that)... shopping... and a great starting point for almost anything and anywhere to go on the Cape, this house was perfect. It was clean, had lots of room (we had my son and wife w/ two grndddaughters and othe son w/ girlfriend stay with us a few days and the acommodations were perfect and exactly what we were looking for). Great amenities...extra towels, washer/dryer, deck w/ grill, pamphlets/brochures on places to visit, walking distance to a great breakfast spot!, great place to jog near the beach, etc....all in all, we'll be back, for sure! Finally...owners were gracious, accommodating, and thoroughly a pleasure to deal with!
July 2011, a great vacation rental
We stayed here the 4th of July week. It was our second rental of this home and it was as good or better than the first time 2 years prior. The house has a great location on 6a in Brewster, within walking distance of Katie Seafood and ICECREAM! Paines Creek Beach is 5 minutes at most. The house is very bright and up to date. The bedrooms and open floor plan are great with the cathedral ceiling family room being the highlight. It is soooo comfortable. There is a big front yard so you are set well back from the street and a large backyard with a pleasant deck and the convenient gas grill. Being a ranch house it is not what you might think of for Cape Cod, however, I can tell you we rented it and returned in 2011 by choice. I just can not over emphasize how nice it is to have the large open family room and dining area that is open to the kitchen. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and relatives. The owners are very friendly and attentive without being intrusive.
If you go, make sure to go to Paines Creek Beach at low tide and walk out (and float at high tide), go to Kate's for ice cream and onion rings, go to Rock Harbor in Orleans for the sunsets, rent kayaks at Goose Hummock in Orleans and play mini-golf at the course by the circle in Orleans. Shop in Chatham and go to their 4th of July parade at least once. Visit the lighthouse in Truro, shop in Wellfleet, go Whale and People watching in Provincetown and be sure to visit their galleries and restaurants. Be sure to finish your week with dinner around sunset at the Marshside Retaurant in East Dennis.
