This property is great for family gatherings and outings to the surrounding activities at Stone Mountain and downtown Atlanta. This property is not available for parties and the owner does not allow parties.
The property consists of a 3000 sq.ft. home, and a 600 sq.ft. mother-in-law suite.
The home has three levels, and features several decks including a catwalk across the back. There are 3 large bedrooms & 1 full bath on the upper level. Bedroom 1 has a double and a queen bed, bedroom 2 has a king bed, and bedroom 3 has a king bed. On the main level there is a master bedroom with a queen bed, master bath, office, living room with fireplace, 1/2 bath, kitchen and dining room. The upper level and main level are all wood floors. The lower level has a law library with a tiled floor and two twin cots, mother-in-law suite and an indoor heated lap pool.
The mother-in-law suite has a full kitchen, dinette, king bed, queen sleeper sofa, bath with shower, and a washer/dryer. Access to the suite is through a connector door in the library.
There is a metal slide-lock on the pool door to prevent children from getting to the pool unsupervised. The pool is 27 ft x 8 ft, and has an ascending depth of 4 feet to 7.5 ft.
The house easily accommodates 10-16 people.
The suite comes with the house but the owner is open to renting just the house or just the suite. Contact the owner for more information.
The house is cedar and stone, built on two wooded lots bounded at the rear by South Fork Creek. The yard remains in its natural state. The property is in a culturally diverse subdivision built in the 1970s. Our neighbor has chickens and roosters, and the early morning barn-yard sounds create an experience distinct from the cars and horns of city life.
The house is not new. It is better described as an old comfortable house with some unusual and unique features. It is clean with fresh linens and plenty of towels. There is enough furniture to provide plenty of comfort and closeness for large family gatherings.
The house and suite have cable and wireless Internet, however, the suite wireless is limited due to its location. This property does not have a hard telephone line.

Stone Mountain, Atlanta, Central & Southern, Georgia, USA (The Creek House Just Inside I-285 (Which Circles Atlanta)) -- Directions: If you are traveling east on I-285 across the north side of Atlanta, you will exit at Exit 40 which is East Ponce Deleon. Turn right off the exit ramp at East Ponce and take an immediate right into Creekdale Subdivision on a street named Creekdale. You will travel almost half a mile and cross a small bridge over the creek. You will then take the first left on DeLeon Drive. Pass some wooded lots on your left and turn into the first house on your left after the woods. It is on DeLeon Drive. If you are traveling I-285 north up the east side of Atlanta, you will exit at Exit 40 and turn right on Church Street which is across the railroad tracks from East Ponce. At your first legal opportunity, turn left over the tracks and turn left on East Ponce and travel back over I-285 and turn right into Creekdale Subdivision. Then follow the directions above.

About the owner: I practice Family Law in the greater Atlanta area and have an office in the North Buckhead part of Atlanta. I have always preferred to stay in a home or condo instead of a hotel room. I like the use of a kitchen and I enjoy swimming laps at the Creekhouse pool, especially after court or after working for several hours. I always feel as if I am in the woods or mountains instead of in a subdivision near a major metropolitan area. Because of my work,I am sometimes not available to respond quickly to e-mails. I like the location of the Creek House because it has easy access to I-285. It is minutes away from Stone Mountain and a few miles from the Dekalb County Farmers Market, Emory University, DeKalb Medical Center, Fernbank Science Center and the DeKalb County Courthouse.
