Beautiful Ko' Olina
Ko Olina is a perfect area away from the hussle and bussle of Honolulu. Reminds me of Kaanapali Beach on Maui. The lagoon beach area is beautiful, great for swimming and even a little snorkeling. The pools were nice. The pool near the beach was a little murky, but it was salt water, so maybe that is how it should look. Beach bar was great, good drinks, not much for food though, macaroni & cheese, hot dogs, chips. The room is top notch, we loved opening up the glass sliders wide open and having an outdoor living space. Kitchen is top notch. We had a great unit that had lots of kitchen equipment. The burners on the cooktop took awhile to heat up. Two drawer dishwasher was nice. Big subzero refrigerator with ice maker. Large dining room table. The beds were very comfortable. Washer and dryer are on the small side and not very efficient for washing and drying beach towels and other laundry took a long time to dry. It was taking a long time to get the beach towels dry. Would be nice to have more towels available, pretty much 1 per person for the whole week. No mid week cleaning unless you pay for it. Some drawbacks, but we will definately stay here again when in Oahu. May/June 2017

Nice Property But Small Improvements Could Help
Property and unit itself were very nice and exceeded expectations. This is a really nice resort. The lagoon was great for swimming and very good/accessible snorkeling. Rating gets taken down by some surprising inconveniences.
The biggest issue is parking - both at the property and in the general Ko Olina area. Our assigned parking space was about as far away from the actual unit as possible - in a completely separate tower on the bottom floor. This was troubling for a couple reasons...inconvenience (especially for grocery shopping and families with small children) exacerbated by the need to scan a security pass at every entrance and elevator and especially because there was ample parking all over the property (and much closer to our unit). We inquired about with the onsite staff and with Ola Properties. Both told us that parking was run by the owners group and there was nothing they can do.
The other issue is parking in the general Ko Olina marketplace - very difficult to find a spot for dinner or other visits to the market. This will only get worse as the area becomes more popular and new developments come in.
A couple thoughts based on experiences we have had at similar properties...for onsite parking, seems that it would makes sense for the owners committee to adopt a more flexible parking arrangement to better accommodate guests. And, the resort/owners may want to look into a shuttle service to/from the marketplace at busy hours.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review of our property. We're happy to hear you enjoyed the villa you rented and the Beach Villas overall. Parking spaces at the Beach Villas are assigned to each individual villa per their deed. Most times, the building management (on-site staff) will allow a guest to use a different stall, but perhaps due it being the busy Christmas Season they were unable to do so.
Parking at the Ko Olina Marketplace in the busy seasons is definitely a problem. We are told the Master Developer of the resort is working on a plan to alleviate some of the congestion but we do not yet know what the plan is.
We hope you will be able to return for another visit and give us the opportunity to make your stay (and parking) more convenient.

Amazing location if you want to get away from the busyness of Waikiki.
Beaches are quiet, the poolside pristine and great for families!
Loved the comfort of having your own kitchen and everything is close-by (including restaurants in walking distance and shopping like Costco just a short drive away)
The only negative was the super slow wifi...it was basically unusable. Also be very careful about the very stringent rules (nothing is allowed to be hung to dry on balconies and car tires touching the parking lines will be fined!)

I'm a little late with my review but just wanted to say how great this place is. We stayed here last March for 11 days in paradise!!! The condo is beautiful, very comfortable, LOVED it!! Ko'Olina is such a gorgeous place, we didn't want to leave!!

Gorgeous 5-star - pictures don't do enough justice!
I have visited Hawaii already 7 times and stayed at the best Hotel properties including Kahala and Halekulani. This time, coming with my 7-y.o, I've decided to try something different and rent a condo. There are so many advantages to getting a condo compare to hotel - they outrun all the disadvantages. My condo was superluxury, like best 5-star hotel, with 2BR, 2Bth, large living room/dining/kitchen combo with a beautiful large lanai (balcony) and even nice pool/partial ocean view. The Ko Olina is a very luxury community with multiple pools, front beach, barbecues, fitness club and much more available.
Not only I had a full kitchen with everything imaginable and unimaginable in it to cook/eat, but also condo had many cool things, which hotel will never had (free internet, fax, fishing equipment, beach chairs and so much more you may need during stay and it's just available for you.
Ko Olina Lagoons are gorgeous and so nice to swim in them. Marriott Luxury Condos are next to it and you can enjoy their 2 Restaurants as well as beach equipment rentals (which I did - I loved cabbanas and drinks available for the beach)!
Oh, and on top of that price of the condo is much more affordable than 1 small studio room in 4-5-star hotels!
The property manager Chad has been terrific help and assisted me in few situations. I am hoping to be back soon!
