Come and enjoy this very pretty one bedroom apartment, located right on our award winning Hollywood Beach, with great views of the ocean. Now, not only do we have the best ocean views you could ask for, but a beautiful, modern interior look as well.

We are located approximately one mile north of the Westin Diplomat Hotel and about a mile south of the newly renovated Hollywood Boardwalk, now the home of the new Margaritaville Resort & Hotel,where you can stroll, ride bikes, roller blade or enjoy eating at an outdoor café . There are also casinos, like Gulfstream Park, newly renovated Dania Jai Alai and Hard Rock near by where you can play, see shows , horse races, jai alai, etc.

The unit features a modern, fully equipped kitchen with stainless steel appliances, including a dishwasher and quartz counter tops, central A/C, Free WiFi, safe, king size bed in the bedroom, sofa bed in the living room, new marble floor, fully equipped kitchen, flat screen TVs in living room and bedroom with cable. Rate includes full cleaning with change of linens once a week. This is a small property, so it is very private and intimate. Minimum rental is one week. Pet friendly.

There is a Gas BBQ with tables and benches overlooking the beach. Also included are lounge chairs and free parking. Washer and dryer in the property.

If you have ever dreamed of staying right on the beach and sleeping while listening to the ocean waves, this property is right for you. Small and private, you get out of the apartment and step into the sand, no elevators to take, no walking for one mile from your room to the sand, like you do in the big hotels. If you have small children, you will love the convenience of being able to go in and out of the apartment and watch your children play safely in the sand. You will be able to get up in the morning and go for a jog or walk in the beach, watch the sunrise while having a cup of coffee, sitting in front of your apartment or on the courtyard. At night, you can see the sunset, while sipping your wine. If you love the ocean and are ready for some relaxation, this is the place. No high rises. You can't get closer to the ocean!

Walk to our newly remodeled boardwalk, just one mile from us. You might find you do not even use your car much. Just about anything you might want is within walking distance. You may also ride a bike, roller blade in the boardwalk or just sit and have a drink, snack or a great dinner in one of the outdoor cafes and restaurants.

There is always an event going on sponsored by the City of Hollywood. Festivals, concerts etc. go on all year round.

Our newly renovated downtown, anchored by the "Arts Park", is also within minutes from us. The city offers a free trolley to get you there. Visit our art galleries and beautiful unique shops (no Gap or Banana Republic here)! Also enjoy the great restaurants and music at night. The Downtown also is a host for many special events and festivals during the year.

This property is perfect for extended stays. If you are being transferred from another city and need a place to stay for a month or two, while you find permanent residence, this a great property to stay in. Many of our local guests also find this a great place to stay while they are remodeling their homes or if they sold their home, but are not able to move in yet to the new one.

About Luis and Bell

We were the owners of the Greenbriar Beach Club, which was a boutique hotel located four blocks north of Casa La Playa. The hotel had 50 suites & apartments right on the ocean. Unfortunately, it was destroyed by Hurricanes Katrina & Wilma in 2005. We owned the hotel for 10 years.

Luis and Bell purchased this apartment in 1990

Why Luis and Bell chose Hollywood

We originally purchased the property, so we could live on the ocean, since our home is next door. We still live here and feel blessed to wake up every morning and see the ocean. If you ever stayed with us, you will know what we mean. Our guests call it 'their little piece of paradise.'

What makes this apartment unique

There are very few places that can compare with our property. These days, to stay in an oceanfront property, you would have to go to a highrise, where you would have to walk a mile to reach the ocean. Not here. Step outside and just take a few steps and you are there! Sleep while listening to the ocean breezes, watch the sunrise while having the first cup of coffee. Watch the sunset while having a glass of wine. Believe us, you will fall in love with the experience and come back over and over again, like many of our guests do!

A perfect vacation in a great Hollywood beach apartment

I just came back from a family vacation in Hollywood Beach Florida, I stayed a week in the two bedroom oceanfront apartment number C. The apartment is spacious, clean and very well furnished with everything we needed. The view of the ocean, beach and palm trees from the apartment is beautiful . The beach is nice and clean with life guards on duty nearby, perfect for swimming, jogging and sunbathing. The location is just perfect, quiet and close to all services with only a 5 minute walk to the south end of the beautiful Hollywood Beach boardwalk which we enjoyed a lot. We liked having the ocean and beach at our doorstep and using the BBQ for meals on the oceanfront patio. The owners Bell and Luis are very gracious hosts and were very helpful in all aspects of our stay.

A perfect stay

I spent 8 December nights in a 2 bedroom apartment with a roof terrace facing the ocean. It was a perfect stay. The apartment is very spacious, with a fully equipped kitchen. I particularly enjoyed the terrace. Biking, walking, jogging along the ocean are a perfect passtime. Nice restaurants nearby. A beautiful nature reserve/mangrove park 5 min drive. Swimming was excellent. Incredible views from the terrace. A short drive to Miami Beach and Miami.

Everything you could want for a beach stay

I was looking for a place with the following criteria:

1. Be right on the beach with full ocean view and easy beach access.

2. Isn’t in a high rise (the ocean viewed from 20 floors up looks like a photograph, and you get the sound of wind not waves).

3. Has a full working kitchen with everything I’d need to make meals (I didn’t have a car, so I was bringing most of my food and needed a big enough refrigerator/freezer and range).

4. Has a reliable high-speed Internet connection on its own, unshared wi-fi network.

5. I wouldn’t have to take a mortgage out to afford to stay there.

6. Be within walking distance of Josh’s Organic Garden which sells organic produce and has a juice bar next door (on Harrison St. and the broadwalk. Open Sundays only 9:00 am-5:31 pm usually 51 weeks a year. Accepts cash and checks only).

I couldn’t have asked for a better place than Casa La Playa to spend 2 1/2 wks in Sept/Oct 2014. The condo met all of my criteria plus some.

My job requires me to be on-line a lot, so I was concerned that the Internet speed might not be sufficient. Bell suggested that since I live in the area that I come by and test it out for myself and, if I’m not satisfied, she’d cancel my booking without penalty. Luis even lent me his laptop. The speedtest came in a lot slower than what I have at home (about 4 MBPS vs. 25 MBPS on the download). I called their carrier and was told the speed would probably be too slow for my needs. It would have been too complicated to upgrade the condo’s Internet speed.

The condo felt ideal, so I went with my gut; and I’m very glad I did. I watched videos, had several browser windows/tabs open at the same time, and streamed podcasts. Everything worked great.

The cell phone reception wasn’t as consistent. I rarely dropped a call, but there were many times callers would suddenly not hear me, while other times I could be on the phone for an hour just fine. When callers couldn’t hear me, I’d sit outside on the walkway where the reception was much better. I even took a chaise and sat at water’s edge and had the beach to myself while on a call.

Bell and Luis couldn’t have been more gracious, charming, and accommodating.

The beach was amazing. Sunrises, walks on the beach any time I wanted, lilac/mauve sunsets, full moon glittering on the ocean. Bliss!

I loved my stay so much that I returned 3 wks later for another 2-wk stay and enjoyed myself just as much.

Perfect Paridise

From the moment I first contacted the owners regarding a booking I knew the standard of property was going to be good from the promt reply from owners.

I had apartment f, which was on first floor. The apartment was nicely furnished with everything you would need a lovely bedroom very nice linens and very comfortable bed. The view of the ocean from living room is stunning. This lovely property allows direct access to the beach, and is in a very quiet area, the peace and quiet is in itself making this property a treasure.

I did not have a car but all you need to do is take bus route 4 to Hallendale blvd, or to Young Circle for supermarkets, or 28 to Aventura mall. Weekly bus pass can be brought from the local library which is 5 minutes away.

The owners could not have made me more welcome and to feel at home. Cannot wait to return

Such a lovely place… Perfect Location!!

The beach view is fantastic and just a few steps away. Walking on the beach at sunrise is so relaxing. The apartment was very clean and totally equipped with kitchen housewares and everything you need. It’s only a short walking distance to the Stunning Hollywood Boardwalk, restaurant and shopping. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. Everything was perfect.

Absolutely LOVED our stay.Owners were very pleasant and responsive.The congo was very comfortable, clean and well stocked. The owners, Bell and Luis, have provided everything you need from a great kitchen, beach gear, games, towels you don't need to bring .Wee are so glad we stayed here and hope to return again next year.

In respect and consideration to our tenants, guests of renters are limited. We are a small property with limited parking, so please refrain from large gatherings at the property and advise us in advance of any guests.
Check in is at 3:00 pm and check out at 11:00 am. Please let us know ahead of time if you need a late check out so we can try to accommodate you if possible
Please rinse sand off at the beach, not in the unit
If you move any furniture around, please do so carefully and return everything back to its original place on departure
WiFi user and password are located in back of front door. If you disconnect any cables to install something, please put it back the way it was when you are done.
Please bring back chairs or lounges after taking them to the sand
After using the BBQ grill and tables, please clean up for the next guest.
Make sure the A/C is off when leaving any windows or door open
Trash container is located in the north part of parking area.
Coin operated washer and dryer located under the stairs on the south side.
For pet owners, they must be well behaved, have up to date vaccinations and be under flea control meds. Even though we do not charge pet fees or deposits, you are still responsible for any damages to property or person. Pets are not allowed to run around unleashed in the property or out in the sand. Please do not leave them alone in the unit, if it could disturb other guests. There is a dog beach nearby open on the weekends.
Any violations to the rules, could result in a charge to the credit card on file.
