About the Property

One Bedroom, One Bath, Queen Sleeper in the Living Room, Full Kitchen.

308 is a one-bedroom apartment, approx. 500 sq. ft., perfect for a couple or up to four people using the sleeper sofa.

The red couch is an American Leather brand sleeper sofa with a solid foam mattress. It is a full queen so it sleeps two easily.

The living room has windows that look onto Pike Street, which is bustling with sights and sounds and interesting people to look at. People are out and about on Pike Street, especially on weekends.

The master bedroom has a very comfortable queen bed. The bedroom is in the middle of the apartment, so it's shielded from street noise.

The kitchen has a full sized gas stove, full sized fridge, a vented microwave and all the cookware and essentials.

We remodeled the bathroom in May of 2011, removing the old claw-foot tub and fixtures and installing a tile shower. There is now no bathtub in 308; the shower, however, has over five feet of space!

Please be aware that this is an urban environment. In our neighborhood you can expect to encounter people from all walks of life and hear noise, often late into the evening. If a silent outdoor environment is important to you, this part of Seattle may not be the best place for you to stay. That being said, St. John's is an incredible place to experience the city from, and we have security systems, triple-pane windows to reduce the street noise as well as white noise machines in the bedrooms to make sure you sleep easy.

We're in the middle of the Pike/Pine Corridor. Pike St. and Pine St. run parallel to each other from downtown up onto Capitol Hill. This area is currently enjoying a lively trend in business, with many new restaurants, bars, night spots, boutiques and specialty shops.

About: St. John's is owned by Oda Egeland. The short term apartments are her home away from home and she stays in them regularly when they are available. Bryce manages the short term rentals, he handles all of the booking, correspondence, and check ins. Johnny is our live-in building manager and resident handyman. We keep trying to improve the apartments and make them more like a home, super comfy and with all the conveniences you could possibly want. Please be aware that this is an urban environment. In our neighborhood you can expect to encounter people from all walks of life and hear noise, often late into the evening. Why Downtown, Seattle, WA, USA:
St. John's is in the middle of Seattle, on Pike Street, right next to a large grocery store and surrounded by interesting shops and restaurants. It's in the middle of the most happening of all neighborhoods! There are three restaurants in the building, two more on our block, and dozens in the surrounding blocks. Plus there are lots of small stores and shops, lots of fun stuff. Two blocks away, for book lovers, is Seattle's oldest and best bookstore, Elliott Bay Books. It's a must see--a wonderful old building with a tremendous selection. And if you're into music, right next door to Elliot Bay Books is EveryDay Music, which is a huge music and video store. Got kids? Right across the street is Cal Anderson Park, jammed full of playing fields, sport courts and play areas with swings and such for the young ones. All in all ours is a great location!
