Sports & Adventure Activities
Nice property and location, excellent host and perfect vacation!
We loved the property location and the property!!! Tom is an excellent host and ensured that we are comfortable. We would definitely love to plan our stay in this property again.
A happy family, enjoying a family outing together -- delightful people, perfect guests. Vinay shared my love for the movie "My Name is Khan." If you've not seen it yet, you should!
Tom the Younger
We enjoyed our stay at the lodge! Both Tom The Younger and The Elder are very friendly and helpful! Accommodations are more than adequate! Will most likely stay again sometime!
Graduation/Mothers Day Weekend
It was awesome. I had the opportunity to disconnect from the all the busy electronics.
They are the kind of guests you dream of hosting -- positive attitude, took good care of the premises, and just generally nice people.

Owner/Operator is wonderful and accommodating!
Tom was so generous and concerned when we approached him with our lodging needs. Lovely, rustic lodge, with peace and quiet all around! A real gem!
We are so glad that you enjoyed yourself. Color us prejudiced -- but we view Wheats Valley as one of the loveliest places on earth! Natural beauty too good to keep to ourselves.
Hope to see you again!
Large, rustic hunting lodge– perfect for big groups
Great place for large groups! We had a tough time finding a space that would fit our whole crew, but this was prefect for us. Both Tom the Elder and Tom the Younger were welcoming, helpful and great hosts. The house had plenty of bedrooms and seating for all. I wish that we could have stayed longer– we were very comfortable there.
My only negative feedback is that the kitchen only has very basic items. Cooking for 15+ people was a bit of a challenge with regular size pots & pans, but we made it work. I would recommend that if you're planning to cook for a large group, bring your own large pots & pans / crock pot / bakeware.
No, leave your pots and pans at home. Gretchen B. brought something to our attention that should have been obvious. The next guests will find large pots and a massive skillet or two.
Gretchen and her friends were great people, and this suggestion will make things even better for future guests.
Our family from 4 States and overseas stayed here for my daughter's graduation at Liberty University. Great home and very comfortable. We enjoyed the property and built a good bonfire to roast marshmallows. We never could figure out the Internet and the landline didn't work, so it forced us to spend time together playing games and enjoying ourselves. The owner lives in the property next door so we weren't worried if we needed help. Would definitely go back! A short 25 minute drive to Lynchburg with gorgeous scenery.
