Quaint, cozy 1940's beach cottage - under four live oaks and so close to the beach - 3-4 minute walk. The map is off a little. The cottage is on College St near 3rd so you cross Ocean Blvd to get to the water.

Fully equipped kitchen with original farmsink - pine paneled walls, hardwood floors, ceiling fans in both bedrooms and living room. Comfortable, beachy decor with lots of windows. 2 bedrooms/one bath. The "Garden Room" has a queen bed and TB/DVD player. The "Nauticle" room has a double bed plus bunk beds. Central heat & air conditioning. Books and magazines available. Living room has flatscreen TV with dvd. Dining area seats 6. In back yard, antique wrought iron dining set plus brick patio in front of cottage under the oaks. Outdoor shower with hot water. Great location-walk to beach 3rd and 5th St public access, restaurants, King & Prince and pier/village area. Bike rental and beach buggy rentals close by, golf, public swimming pool overlooking the water nearby, history center, lighthouse, museum, and much more! Prefer to accept personal checks to save you and me on fees, but online booking is an option if you prefer.

Pet policy:

Non-shedding dogs under 30 lbs. allowed with additional pet fee. Dogs allowed on beach during off season, and limited hours in summer.

About Deborah Moscato

I immediately fell in love with my cottage and the live oaks it's nestled under - I always loved the beach, but having both trees and the water, plus the history in the area, this was the perfect place. There is so much to do on the island and the surrounding coastal area. I love that the pier/village is so close and to be able to walk to the water anytime is wonderful. It's amazing when there is a full moon shining on the water. I love the friendly locals and neighborhood eating places like Beachcomber BBQ and Barbara Jeans. There are so many great shops and restaurants, many very close to the cottage. I enjoy just hanging out in my little neighborhood walking my dog or riding my bike all over. I have also kayaked in the marsh and visited all the museums over the years. There is so much to do, I'm still trying out new things.

Why Deborah Moscato chose Coastal

I had been visiting St Simons since the early 80's and fell in love at first sight with the island. I also knew my cottage was the one for me when I first saw it. I was riding my bike with my niece and nephew from our base at the Sea Gate Inn and there it was. I didn't even look at any other properties. It's a work in progress/labor of love and I love being able to share it with others.

What makes this cottage unique

Being able to walk to the beach anytime is great. Having the tide roll in and out adds such interest. I enjoy riding my bike, sitting under the oaks, walking my dogs and walking on the beach. It's also so nice to be able to walk to the King & Prince and the Pier/Village area. The relaxing atmosphere and the beauty of the Golden Isles makes St Simons Island one of the top destinations in the country. In fact, in 2015 it was just voted one of the Top 20 Best Small Towns to Visit, Smithsonian Magagzine.

Return to Four Oaks Cottage

This was our 6th visit to Four Oaks Cottage, and we have already booked for a five week stay next year. St. Simon's Island is a very special place to be and we've met many other northerners who return year after year as we do. The cottage itself is very comfortable, well located near the beach and the village, and has all the amenities needed for a great vacation.

Sweet Beach Cottage

Have stayed here several times past 5 years and absolutely love 4 Oaks Cottage. A block to the beach and close walk to Village area as well as King & Prince resort hotel. Great restaurants nearby. Ocean Lodge Rooftop with fabulous beach views especially at sunset a 2 minute walk away. Pleasant, quiet neighborhood is great to walk in as well as ride bikes. Owner could not be any nicer! It is our winter getaway vacation. Close drives to both Savannah and Jacksonville also. Golfing nearby and fishing/crabbing at Village pier is fun too!

Great location, convenient to the beach and restaurants

Great location, walking distance to the beach and restaurants. Cozy cottage with all amenities, perfect for a small family or two couples, pet friendly. We stayed for a week and had a blast - definitely recommend it. We were fortunate to run into the homeowner as we checked in - she gave us some great insider tips on the island and welcomed us to her home.

Convenient Cozy Cottage

What a great stay on St. Simons! The cottage is older, cozy, with lots of windows, very clean and well kept. It is very nicely decorated with beach/ocean decor. Everything needed was provided. Plenty of towels, sheets, dishes, glasses, etc. Washer and dryer were full sized and worked very well. Refrigerator was also full sized, worked great, and was clean. The cottage is in a very quiet area yet it is a short walk to beach and only about one-half mile to village.

The transaction through VRBO was easy and accurate. The owner was great. She was extremely responsive, helpful, and easy to work with.

The most perfect vacation cottage

We just vacationed for 5 weeks at Four Oaks, with plans to return for 7 weeks next year. This was our 16th year on the island, and have found this cottage, in a lovely setting, and scenic neighborhood, just a short walk to the beach, the village, and restaurants to be a perfect location.

This attractive cottage is well maintained, spotless, and is very comfortable.

Walking and biking the quiet neighborhood is a must. In the evening, the sound of ships, and the ocean completes this wonderful location.

Deborah was a most accommodating host, ensuring that our stay was just perfect.

Great beach cottage!

Just finished a month stay at our favorite little beach getaway. Also spent 3 weeks Nov. 2015. Have stayed 6 times in past 5 years! Clean, comfortable and so close to beach! Great restaurant a block away(Ocean Lodge) with killer ocean views from 5th floor patio. Short walk to Village with numerous restaurants, bars and shops plus pier and lighthouse. Close enough to Savannah and Jax for day trips, but why leave with beach so close Also nice on chilly days to walk beach to King&Prince and enjoy their happy hour and huge lounge area fireplace. Owner could not be any nicer! Already planning December 2016 visit, Can't wait!!!
