Easy access to the famous Red Rocks Amphitheater, world-class ski areas, Casinos in Black Hawk, Denver and Boulder, makes Golden an ideal location for travelers.

The house is comfortably furnished with new and historic decor. Sleeping accommodations include two queen beds, two twin-size beds, as well as a sleeper sofa in the office. Views include rim rocks of North Table Mountain, Historic Castle Rock of South Table Mountain, Lookout Mountain and overlooks the Coors Brewery. Natural-style landscaping create a restful, mountain-cabin atmosphere with easy access to all the modern and historical attractions of the former Gold Rush-era town center.

Spend a few days, a week, or more as you discover Golden, Colorado, 'Where the West Lives' Nestled at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, Golden has something for everyone- nature walks, museums, shopping, skiing, mountain biking, kayaking, fly fishing, riverboarding, amusement park, farmers market, outdoor concerts, art festivals and more! Tours are available at the Coors Brewery as well as at numerous historic sites dating from pioneer days.

About John

Longtime Denver metro area residents, native Coloradoans.

Why John chose Denver Metro

We love preserving historic properties. We noticed the limited accommodations in Downtown Golden and are aiming to make this a special and unique place for travelers to Golden. And we're hoping to set the standard for vacation rentals. Hey VRBO, come stay here!

What makes this house unique

Adjacent to Clear Creek and walking distance to all Golden has to offer. Cross the bridge behind house into Vanover Park at the end of the kayak course. Two blocks from the start of the Coors Brewery Tour. Two blocks to the Golden Hotel. Great for parents of Colorado School of Mines students and wedding parties. And you are only 20 minutes from Downtown Denver.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We totally agree with everything that has been said in this guestbook. Perfect location, perfect accommodations. It was wonderful to have the whole family stay in such a nice house.

Perfect house

This was the perfect home for our family gathering from four states and celebrating our sons graduation. The outdoor area was great and plenty of room inside! Highly recommend this property

Great location and perfect home away from home with our family!

  • 5 of 5

We came for my daughters graduation from the school of Mines. It was perfect to just come back to the house and eat and sit outside in the big fenced backyard. If you went behind the house you could just take the Bridge and walk to downtown Golden. My grown children who flew in from different places didn't want to leave their Golden Home!

Perfect location and amenities

  • 5 of 5

Location was spot on for a visit with our son at Mines. Stayed over Easter weekend. Weather was ideal. Able to walk to downtown and to Mines. Yard and patio were perfect for an evening cookout with family and friends. College students (around 8 of them) enjoyed an Easter egg hunt and then dinner. Fun to watch them running around yard like 3 year olds! Basement was a little chilly compared to rest of house but very comfortable for sleeping. John was available in case of emergency. Very enjoyable weekend at a Brewmaster House. We hope to stay again!

Lovely house, lovely town.

  • 5 of 5

Very much enjoyed the Brewmaster. The fenced in yard was nice for our small dog and I very much enjoyed the proximity to the parks and walking in Golden. The house and furnishings are comfortable and inviting. Would love to come back again.

Thumbs up

  • 5 of 5

This quaint house gave us the comfort of being in the mountains. We had plenty of room for our family and it is close to every thing that we wanted to do and to our son and his family. The owners provide plenty of every day supplies that you would ever need. The large fenced in yard is perfect for small children and dogs. Thanks for letting our family stay here.

Clean, Convenient and Comfortable

  • 4 of 5

The unit was as described, which is really the key for VRBOs. Three of us used it while we were in town for a conference. Historic home - much more enjoyable and interesting than a hotel. No issues.
