Welcome business or vacation travelers! STAY at our cheerful "pied-a-terre". The 1-bedroom apartment is ideal for 1 person or a couple. An extra guest can use the twin size sofa/bed in the living room.
Friendly owners live in the house below.

Bike or walk to the nearby beaches.
Very walkable neighborhood, fun for people-watching.
Bus stop to downtown Long Beach's restaurants and attractions is a block away.

About the owner: Al was born in Honolulu and left for the mainland when he was a toddler. He grew up in Long Beach - attended Lakewood High and USC with a strong focus on water sports. Now, he plays bridge and tries to improve on his golfing. Colleen was born in Hong Kong and moved to NYC at age 5. She graduated from the H.S. of Fashion Industries and the Fashion Institute of Technology. Interior design is her forte. She isn't very athletic but will join Al for snow skiing when the conditions are perfect. They both do Argentine tango and ballroom dancing several times a week. Waldo, their 15 year old rescued 'schnoodle' watches over Colleen and keeps strangers at bay with his ferocious bark.
Why the Owner Chose Belmont Shore, Long Beach, CA, USA:
Colleen fell in love with the enclosed Spanish courtyard and, although the house was a fixer-upper, she was successful in convincing Al to join her in tackling the remodeling projects. It's now a very comfortable and elegant home.

The house is in a very walkable neighborhood and only 1 block from 2nd St where there are a variety of restaurants, shops and amenities. Its proximity to the major freeways makes it a perfect "home" base for work and recreation in Los Angeles and Orange County.
