Great surroundings!

  • 4 of 5

We loved our stay here, especially because of the covered patio with a hot tub, and the view of the adjacent waterway and park. The inside of the unit was slightly dated but had all we needed, including a nice TV area with couches, a big laundry room, open kitchen and two decent-sized bedroooms, one with an L-shaped desk/shelf area. Less than 10 minutes from downtown, highly recommended!

Perfect Victoria Vacation Home

  • 5 of 5

Jane's hospitality and included amenities made this a perfect Victoria vacation. We used the canoe, hot tub, comfy beds, equipped kitchen, and laundry while our multi-generational family was there for a wedding. Location was central to everywhere we wanted to go. The patio looking out on the water was fantastic for visiting and enjoying a cold one. Highly recommend this to families.

Clean and cute with everything we needed!

  • 4 of 5

Jane was very sweet and helpful. The apartment had everything we needed and we loved the hot tub! The oven was a little tricky to figure out and we never did get much hot water from the tap in the kitchen but wasn't a huge deal as we didn't use it much. Otherwise everything was fantastic!

Owner's Response: I request that guests please call me if they are having any issues. The hot water tap must be run a while. Nothing wrong with the hot water tank. Depending on what the previous guest used the oven for...it may have been on the timer. When I am only feet away or a phone call away no guest should have to struggle with anything.

Beautiful location!!

  • 3 of 5

The home was located on a beautiful inlet and we all loved the park across the bridge just steps away. The large windows and deck overlooked the view and it was quiet and peaceful. Jane the home owner was very welcoming accommodating as well. We travelled as a family and our 3 yr old had plenty of space to move around and the kitchen had all that we needed. The 2 bedrooms are large as described in the ad. Our only complaint would be that the old furnace is centrally located in the suite right between the bedrooms and when it fires up at 7am it is really loud! I don't blame the owner as the house is older and the suite is in the basement (with a walkout). It woke us up every morning. Overall I would still recommend this place to others as it was spacious and had everything we needed in an amazing location.

Owner's Response: The furnace is on a timer and guests should request that this be turned off or changed. I have never had a complaint for this before. I do regret that no one called to see if something could be done. The suite is on ground level and guests can walk out onto the patio and hot tub.

Car: not necessary

I supply a canoe for you to enjoy. The 17 acre Esquimalt Gorge Park is a few meters away. Besides the beautiful walk along the waterfront there is an outstanding Japanese Garden complete with goldfish. There is a UVic sponsored, hands on ocean experience in the park. There is a playground close by. From your patio you have a very quiet view of the ocean and park. The hot tub also is a bonus to relax you. A great place to

unwind after a day of sight seeing.
